## About Sole-tenant Nodes
Sole-tenant nodes in Google Compute Engine provide dedicated physical servers exclusively for your project's virtual machines . This setup ensures that your VMs do not share host hardware with VMs from other projects, offering enhanced security and compliance by maintaining physical isolation. Sole-tenant nodes support the same features as standard Compute Engine VMs, including transparent scheduling and block storage, while adding an extra layer of hardware isolation. Key Features and Functionality: - Dedicated Hardware: Each sole-tenant node is a physical server allocated solely to your project, ensuring that only your VMs run on that hardware. - Flexible VM Provisioning: You can provision multiple VMs of various machine types on a single node, optimizing resource utilization. - CPU Overcommit: Over-provision virtual CPU resources by up to two times, allowing for efficient use of host CPUs and cost optimization. - Live Migration: Maintain VM uptime during host maintenance events through live migration capabilities. - Node Affinity Labels: Control VM placement using affinity labels to group or separate workloads based on your requirements. Primary Value and Problem Solved: Sole-tenant nodes address the need for physical isolation in cloud environments, which is crucial for organizations with strict compliance, regulatory, or security requirements. By providing dedicated hardware, they eliminate the "noisy neighbor" effect, ensuring consistent and predictable performance for sensitive workloads. Additionally, they facilitate easier management of software licenses that require per-core or per-processor licensing, as you have full visibility and control over the underlying hardware.

## Sole-tenant Nodes Reviews
 ### 1. Maximizing Security, Compliance, and Performance with Sole-Tenant Nodes

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Sporting Goods | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Sole-tenant Nodes?**

Sole-tenant nodes give you exclusive access to a physical server. This means that no other customers will be sharing the underlying hardware, providing an extra layer of security and control.
These nodes are excellent for organizations with strict compliance requirements, such as healthcare, finance, or government sectors. Because you control the hardware, it is easier to meet regulatory obligations regarding data locality, isolation, and security.

**What do you dislike about Sole-tenant Nodes?**

Sole-tenant nodes tend to be more expensive than multi-tenant cloud solutions due to the dedicated hardware and resources. This makes them less cost-effective for smaller businesses or workloads that don't require strict isolation

**What problems is Sole-tenant Nodes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shared infrastructure in multi-tenant cloud environments can present potential security risks, such as vulnerability to attacks from "noisy neighbors" or unintentional data exposure across tenants.
By providing a physically isolated environment, sole-tenant nodes eliminate these risks, ensuring that no other customers share the hardware. This dedicated environment provides heightened security and data privacy, which is crucial for sensitive applications or data.

 ### 2. Influence existing Microsoft licenses

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giuliano B. | Project Support Officer, Government Administration, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Sole-tenant Nodes?**

Sole-tenant Nodes have been useful for my responsibility with severe security and consistency necessities. Realizing my VMs are the only ones on the actual server gives me fulfillment.

**What do you dislike about Sole-tenant Nodes?**

The downside of Sole-Inhabitant Hubs is the forthright expense. Since you're renting a whole server, it's intrinsically more costly than shared assets.

**What problems is Sole-tenant Nodes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sole-tenant Nodes give a definitive detachment to responsibilities requiring the most elevated security guidelines. This has been significant for my group, as we handle touchy information.

 ### 3. Sole tenant nodes are dedicated for your own infra and provides a wide range of security & robust.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Sole-tenant Nodes?**

Dedicated towards for organisation and meet the desired goals

**What do you dislike about Sole-tenant Nodes?**

As of now there is nothing that I didn't liked about it.
I am still exploring it.

**What problems is Sole-tenant Nodes solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Sole-tenant nodes can help you meet dedicated hardware requirements for bring your own license (BYOL) scenarios that require per-core or per-processor licenses. When you use sole-tenant nodes, you have some visibility into the underlying hardware, which lets you track core and processor usage
