There is no specific dislike related to the products and featues, but the pricing is higher compared to other products within the domain Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Well, Solar Winds Standard Toolset works terrific. However, I like a few features very much about it because they solve my day-to-day IT challenges. Some of them are mentioned below:

1. Real-Time alerts.

2. Network Health Monitoring

3. Performance Analysis

To be honest, Solarwinds standard toolset is amazing but I feel the UI is not very interactive and user-friendly. This calls for Solarwinds to work on their UI to make it a little appealing yet friendlier. I haven't used Solarwinds on the cloud and it's an interesting proposition. I definitely would love to explore it, but I will it is tedious to implement on the cloud. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Some of the features are good. Like the Neighbor map and some of the diagnostic tools Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The troubleshooting applications are not updated that well. Most programs still use SNMPv2 and not SNMPv3, even though SNMPv3 has been out for years now. Some of the trouble shooting tools are not updated on a regular basis to add new functionallity. Nor are new troubleshooting tools added to the program. There is no support for SFTP. SolarWinds Engineer's Toolset provides a single pane to do just about every network task you can imagine! I love using the Workspace studio - SNMP sweep, switch port mapper, traceroute, WMI browser, IP network browser, neighbor map, config transfer, config compare, subnet calculator, telnet/ssh console, CPU and memory interface charts, response time, and the list goes on. You can present any information in a table, graph, or map, along with exporting the information. The other phenomenal aspect about owning a Solarwinds Tool is the support and community behind the tools! I am a member of the Solarwinds Community called THWACK and have been able to manage the suite of Solarwinds products with the advice from the community. The last support ticket I opened for any of my products was in 2016. The documentation behind each and every product will go above and beyond your expectations. If you can't find an answer to your question in the documentation, turn to the community, and you will find an answer in a very timely manner! Go demo the product and join the community for fun! SolarWinds Engineer's Toolset was a little intimidating at first! You wonder where to start! Don't be intimidated, remember an issue you have in your environment and go seek an answer. I can't think of anything that did not work properly; the problem was in the chair, not in the Toolset! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

So Far, I didnt see any to dislike about. If we can have alerting for CPU/Memory/Storage that would be beneficial Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like its Network Monitor, Interface Monitor and Network Analyzer. it has vast capabilities to monitor network at granular level. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Solar wind is the best network traffic monitoring tool which is higly reliable and scalable tool.Through solarwind, network enginner can easily monitor network health and can troubleshoot network connectivity related issue.its very easy to install and configure.With the help of solarwind, we can easily monitor route,switches and pbx servers.you can monitor bandwigtr h of routers,switches.you can set threshold which can check latency,jitter in packets. There is nothing to dislike about solarbind,its so useful for the network engineer,network administrator but few observation i found during it use.

1)SolarWind is a bit costly than other monitoring tool software use too many server resources which cause the application to fail and disrupt ease.

2)it require more space in the system.When use it with GNS3 than its performance decrease a littile bit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It is a feature-complete suite of utilities to diagnose and manage your network. The Workspace Studio lets you create a NOC-looking screen to monitor whatever nodes/elements you add in. If you aren't in a position to purchase the full-blown SolarWinds Network Performance Monitor, then the Engineer's Toolset is the bare minimum you should get. Updates aren't as often as OS patches but then again, networking protocols don't change overnight either. Wish it would incorporate a single-click config backup utility to automate TFTP'ing network equipment configurations to your laptop/central repository before making changes or upgrading the firmware. Getting the Ping Response, Tracert directly from the console without loggin into the server actually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Licensing is not that good, Engineering toolset offers very basic functionalities directly from the console but it seems to be very costly when comes to licensing part. I personally thinks that if Solarwinds really wants to help its customer in doing basic jobs done easily then please think about the balancing of cost as well. Quick go to spot for tools. I like knowing I can jump into one menu and find multiple tools I can use on an everyday basis. TFTP Server, PingSweep, Subnet Calculator, and Advanced Ping are some of the ones I use everyday. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The UI for some of the tools could be a bit better. Sometimes, the interface feels bulky, which might delay the loading and processing of the data at certain points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
