1. Streamline the Booking Process for Repeat Users - Create a faster, lower-friction path for clients who have booked before. Avoid reading the same script each time. Offer a checkbox or online confirmation for terms instead of repeated phone calls.

2. Respect Photographer Compensation - Reevaluate the revenue share model. Taking up to 40% from photographers is not sustainable and undermines the trust of both creatives and clients who care about ethical sourcing.

3. Improve Communication Channels During Shoots- In real-world production settings, clients can’t be expected to log into a browser-based platform mid-shoot. Provide direct phone lines or SMS fail-safes when masked numbers don’t work.

4. Allow Refunds When No Services Are Rendered - If no photo is taken and no meaningful contact is made, there should be a clear refund process. Standing behind your service includes acknowledging when it wasn’t delivered.

5. Design a Platform Tier for Industry Users - Create a separate track or interface for production companies, nonprofits, and professionals with specialized needs — like BTS photography, event coverage, or recurring shoots.

We are a nonprofit organization, and we’ve used Snappr for three different photo shoots. Two of those shoots went smoothly — the photographers arrived on time, communicated directly, and delivered great service. However, our most recent booking was a major disappointment and a financial loss for us.

The photographer for our third booking never delivered any services. No photos were taken, and no meaningful effort was made to reach us. We were on-site, ready, and waiting. We had provided our direct phone number, just as we had for the previous successful shoots, and we were available to take calls. No call ever came through — masked or otherwise.

While we later learned that the photographer attempted to reach us through Snappr’s website, we were in the middle of a time-sensitive production and were not monitoring the website. This limitation had been discussed in advance when we booked the session by phone with Snappr staff. We relied on direct phone communication — the same method that worked well in the previous bookings.

After the missed session, the photographer made no effort to follow up, troubleshoot, or reschedule. When we contacted Snappr for a refund, they declined, citing that the photographer had technically arrived. But simply being physically present without initiating effective contact — and ultimately delivering no photos — does not constitute fulfillment of the service.

As a nonprofit, we are extremely careful with our spending. Paying full price for a session in which no service was rendered and no meaningful communication occurred is not acceptable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
