## About Smily (ex BookingSync)
Smily helps vacation rental managers save time and book more. Smily is the all-in-one, AI-reimagined vacation rental software that runs your entire short-term rental business from a single login. Advertise your properties on more than 1,000 websites, including Airbnb, Booking.com, Expedia and Vrbo, then manage every booking, payment, message and task in one place. No more juggling tools. No more double bookings. Smily is the number one PMS and channel manager in France. Over 1,000 managers worldwide run 23,000 properties on Smily, which has facilitated more than €2 billion in bookings for 12 million travelers. On average, managers grow revenue by 40%. Everything you need in one platform: ✅ Property Management System (PMS) ✅ Channel Manager across 1,000+ sites ✅ Direct Booking Website ✅ Unified Inbox ✅ Payment Solutions with automatic, lawyer-reviewed split payouts to owners ✅ Smily AI ✅ Revenue Management ✅ Task Management and Automations ✅ Performance Dashboard and Financial Reports ✅ Dedicated Account Management What makes Smily unique Robust, scalable, and accurate. Smily is engineered to scale from a handful of rentals to thousands without breaking, and it is built on data quality managers can actually trust. As a portfolio grows, small data errors compound and quietly poison reporting and revenue decisions. Smily keeps the numbers right: accurate, consistent across every channel, and reliable at any size. Claire Ripoche, Head of Data at J'affiche Complet, says it best: "No missing data, no incorrect data, no overbookings. It's the only channel manager today where that's the case." Reliable data is the foundation everything else is built on. Open API and MCP access. On top of that unmatched data quality, Smily offers one of the most extensive APIs in the industry, plus native MCP (Model Context Protocol) access. That unlocks deep integrations, custom workflows, and AI agents that can act on clean, trustworthy data. In a world moving to AI, accurate data plus open access is what turns automation into real leverage. Smily Reconciliation. Centralize your payments from Airbnb, Booking.com and direct bookings, then see every cent clearly allocated, from the booking level all the way up to your financial reports. No scattered sources, no manual matching, no end-of-month guesswork. This is the robust financial clarity that lets you scale peacefully, because you always know exactly where every euro came from and where it went. Smily Cancellation Protection. A breakthrough built for property managers. Offer guests a refundable rate, win the demand that filters for flexibility (flexible listings get up to 3 times more bookings on Vrbo), and still keep over 70% net even when a guest cancels up to 24 hours before arrival. On top of that, you earn 2% margin on every eligible flexible booking, whether it is cancelled or completed, so flexibility becomes a new profit stream. It runs inside a fully compliant legal framework with a licensed partner, activates in one click with SmilyPay, and pays eligible claims within 7 business days. You no longer choose between more bookings and protected revenue. You get both. Smily Protect. Turn protection into profit. Smily Protect bundles an AI listing audit, added guarantees, and accidental damage protection of up to €50,000 per year per property. Buy it from Smily, offer it to your owners at your own price, and keep the margin. You strengthen your owner value proposition and open a new recurring revenue stream at the same time. Smily AI Photo Improvement. Guests spend up to 70% of their decision time looking at photos. Smily AI automatically fixes brightness, color, contrast and vertical alignment across every listing photo in one pass, so your property looks bright, clean and professional everywhere it is published. It stays faithful to reality, stays compliant with Airbnb, Booking.com and Vrbo, and keeps your originals. Better photos, more clicks, higher perceived value, no editing skills required. Smily AI Listing Videos. Travel discovery is moving to video. Smily turns your existing photos into a cinematic 30-second video with music, delivered in 24 hours, with no shoot, no actors and no production. You own the rights fully and forever. Publish it on your direct booking website, social media, ads and owner pitches. Most operators still post static listings. You show the experience. More Smily AI: Listing Audit, Listing Optimization, Smart Replies, Emergency Detection, Seasonal Listings and Personalized Listings. Built-in FinTech. Payments, payouts and protection live inside Smily, not in a patchwork of tools. SmilyPay processes cards securely, owners are paid automatically with lawyer-reviewed split payouts, and Damage Protection covers your properties. See clearly. Pay correctly. Scale safely. Trusted across the industry. Smily is an official Airbnb Preferred Partner, Booking.com Premier Plus Connectivity Partner and Expedia Preferred Partner, and connects with Vrbo, Abritel, Google Vacation Rentals, HomeToGo and Marriott Homes & Villas. Over the last 12 months, Smily support earned a 99 out of 100 customer satisfaction score. Who Smily is for. ## Smily (ex BookingSync) Reviews
 ### 1. A comprehensive and scalable PMS for professional property managers

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erwann D. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

What we like most about Smily is its ability to centralize the management of our properties, reservations, availability, and distribution channels in one place. The platform offers a wide range of integrations and automation possibilities, which helps us save time, reduce manual tasks, and structure our operations more efficiently. We also appreciate the responsiveness and support of the Smily team, who understand the specific needs of professional property managers.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

The main drawback is that Smily can require a significant amount of setup and configuration, particularly when managing a portfolio of properties with different pricing rules, booking conditions and operational processes.

Because the platform offers many features and integrations, some settings are not always immediately intuitive and the learning curve can be quite steep at the beginning. However, the support team is available and responsive, which makes the onboarding process much easier.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily helps us centralize the management and distribution of our portfolio of premium holiday rentals across multiple booking channels. It brings reservations, availability, rates, guest information, payments and property-specific booking rules together in one system.

This reduces manual data entry, limits the risk of errors or double bookings, and gives our team a clear overview of the entire portfolio. Its integrations with our pricing, operational and financial tools also help us create more reliable and automated workflows.

The main benefit is scalability: as our agency and property portfolio continue to grow, Smily allows us to handle more reservations without increasing the administrative workload at the same pace, while maintaining a consistent level of service for both guests and property owners.

 ### 2. Reliable Channel Sync and Time-Saving Property Management at Scale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noora A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

Smily works well for managing our 450–500 properties. The channel sync is reliable and we don't get double bookings. The API is helpful for building our own automations, and rates and availability are easy to manage. Support has been responsive when we need it. Having everything in one place saves us a lot of time.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

With so many properties it can be slow to load and filter bookings. Some features are hard to find, so new team members need time to learn it. The API documentation could be better, and we'd like stronger built-in reporting. Nothing major, but the small things add up at our size.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily handles all our channel management across 450–500 properties, keeping rates and availability synced across the OTAs so we avoid double bookings. It centralizes our bookings in one place instead of managing each channel separately, which saves our team a lot of manual work.

 ### 3. Centralization and Undeniable Time Savings

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phayssal H. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I love the time-saving aspect that Smily brings to the daily management of our establishments. Being able to centralize bookings, availability, and rates on a single platform greatly simplifies the work, especially when managing multiple properties. The connections with different booking platforms are reliable and limit manual interventions. The support is also very professional; the team is available, responsive, and guided us effectively throughout the implementation. During the initial installation, the support from the Smily team facilitated the migration step to the platform, making the integration process smooth and quick despite the complexity of our organization.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

The platform already meets our needs very well, but some features could be further enhanced. It would be interesting to offer more advanced analysis tools to facilitate performance tracking.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily centralizes all bookings across different OTAs, simplifies our work by centralizing bookings, availability, and rates on one platform, reducing manual interventions, and saving time. The support is professional and responsive, facilitating integration.

 ### 4. Connectivity and Optimized Automation

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raphael C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I appreciate Smily mainly for its connectivity. It allows me to connect different services and tools and create numerous automations, especially for bookings and customer contact. I like that it is a manager that allows me to centralize my listings in one place and broadcast everything easily, which saves me a lot of time. It is very connectable and I can update my work easily thanks to the automations, whether natively or with external tools. Additionally, the configuration is generally easy, which makes the tool pleasant to use.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I think we can still push connectivity and data access further. There are things I do outside of Smily, and if I could have everything on Smily, it would be ideal. But then, it's not a deal-breaker for me.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Smily to centralize my ads and broadcast them, saving a lot of time. It allows connecting to multiple tools and services, automating and updating my work.

 ### 5. Smily simplifies the synchronization of OTA calendars for our 150 apartments

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Frédéric B. | Directeur artistique de ma propre vie, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

We use Smily to manage our 150 apartments mainly to synchronize our booking calendars on the OTAs.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

With the growth of our business to over 100 apartments, some advanced automations still require the use of the API and external tools. We would like to see more automation and reporting features natively integrated into the platform. That said, the openness of the API allows us to build the solutions we need.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily's gain is at the heart of our activity and allows us to efficiently manage over 100 seasonal rentals from a single platform.

The main problem it solves is the centralization of bookings, calendars, communications with travelers, payments, and the distribution of listings across multiple channels, including Booking.com as well as our own booking site. Without a PMS, managing such a volume manually would be extremely time-consuming and prone to numerous errors, if not impossible as far as I'm concerned.

 ### 6. Efficient and Flexible Synchronization, Some Performance Challenges

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gael A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I use Smily to synchronize calendars between different OTA platforms, which prevents double bookings. I like the simplicity and efficiency of Smily, as well as the flexibility of the system. With Smily, our team of 6 people can efficiently manage our availabilities, and it synchronizes well with our OTAs and Airtable. If the needs match, I would recommend Smily with a 10 without hesitation.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

Loading times can be a bit long, especially on certain views like multi-locations. The price calculation may change when moving a reservation. There should be better bandwidth management and ensure that the rate calculations remain the same. Generally, make moving reservations simpler.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily synchronizes the calendars between each OTA, avoiding double bookings. It is simple, efficient, and flexible.

 ### 7. Centralizes Operations, Boosts Efficiency for Property Management

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David A. | PDG, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I like Smily's flexibility, automation capabilities, and channel management. Being able to efficiently manage multiple properties from a single platform is a huge plus. The OTA integrations are reliable and well maintained. I appreciate the professional and easy-to-customize website templates. The reporting tools provide clear operational and performance insights. Overall, Smily offers a well-rounded ecosystem that scales effectively with a growing hospitality business. The initial setup was straightforward, and the onboarding team was knowledgeable and responsive, making the implementation process smooth despite the complexity of managing multiple properties.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

There is always room for improvement, I would love to see more advanced reporting and dashboard customization.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily helps us centralize operations, reduce manual work, minimize booking errors, improve team efficiency, and scale our portfolio without significantly increasing the administrative workload.

 ### 8. Seamless Integrations, Powerful Automation, and Fast Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anders I. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

Integration with Airbnb, Wheelhouse, etc.
The possibilities for rules for pricing, fees, etc.
The possibilities to customize your own messages that are automatically sent to guests, to owners, to our team.
Fast and professional support.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

Some features, such as Tasks and Inbox, are immature and not (yet) useful for us. Too primitive.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To keep track on all booking calendars.

 ### 9. Best-in-Class OTA API Connection, Very User-Friendly

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** pierre d. | Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

Actually, this is the best API connection with the main OTA. It’s also very user-friendly.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

It needs some improvement regarding owner access and the accounting reports.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplicity in connecting all channels, and an easy way to manage many third-party applications through their App Center. The user support team is also very good.

 ### 10. Unique Rate Rules and a Clean, Well-Documented API That Drive Profit

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric B. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

As a revenue manager, I love the unique rate rules and restrictions that enable more profit, like charge at least if available rules. Because I develop custom tools for more profits, I love the clean and well documented API. And now, I am impatient to use the Smily MCP

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I look forward to whatsapp in the unified inbox.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manage short-term rental properties in general and rates in particular for maximum profit.

 ### 11. BookingSync, the tool that transformed my management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marine S. | 66000, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

What I appreciated most about BookingSync is the ease of use, facilitated by the onboarding teams. The centralization of listings is a real asset: no more need to recreate a listing on Booking and then on Airbnb, everything is automatically distributed. The management of bookings and payments is also optimized, and the support is always responsive. Result: a considerable time saving and a more professional image of my business.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

At first, I had some concerns about getting started and the cost might have seemed like a barrier, but in the end, learning it turned out to be simple, and the software's efficiency more than makes up for the investment.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily solved the tedious problem of recreating my ads on each platform: I publish them once and they are broadcast everywhere. The integrated payment system is a real time and money saver, the integrations are simple, and the extensive catalog makes management smooth and comprehensive.

 ### 12. A user friendly UI and a very dedicated team

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

The software is very easy to get to understand and its features allowed a major improvement in revenue for our real estate agency over the past 5 years we be been using it

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

Only one drawback: The mobile app took a long time to be developed and still lacks some functions

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Smily helped us a lot in the automation process in our industry

 ### 13. I tried it first time and find it good but yet most of development required

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharmdeep s. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

I have two properties in two different cities and I started using booking sync to manage my properties whether giving them on rent or daily like the air bnb. It is a very good software available in the market for the rental vacation industry.

Another good thing is its comprehensive documentation which helps user to integrate this easily with their systems.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

The system is not super fast in a way when we compare it to other marker competitors. Previously I was an active user of AirBnB. Also, the support system is very slow. Last but not least I find the user journey who visits for the first time on the platform is not easy, with too many tabs and clicks involved.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I managed my two properties and guests coming to it using this portal. It was a smooth setup and I am happy using it. Again it is a good system for the rental business and for those who are willing to manage their multiple properties at one place.

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

We are able to organize ourselves by customer and property. Finding the information you need is easy.

**What do you dislike about Smily (ex BookingSync)?**

What I really dislike is how unintuitive this product is. The didn't build it in a way where all the information you add to it connects together so you're constantly switching tabs to get what you need. All the time you spend switching tabs constantly is a waste of valuable time and overcomplicates simple tasks.

**Recommendations to others considering Smily (ex BookingSync):**

Consider how the process works and if the time using it meets you needs.

**What problems is Smily (ex BookingSync) solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We manage our properties and guests on it and it does a decent job. We are able to receive a call or email and all the info we need is in bookingsync and we get by just using BookibgSync.

It does what we need it to do while keeping it simple to use and effective!
