Caleb is a great asset to help me keep my employees engaged. His customer support is fabulous. I love that Caleb cares about me and our business. The employer dashboard is easy to use and our employees enjoy the product/the change it is making in their lives. It was easy to implement into the office and tracking employee usage is easy (you do not see their "data", you only see where employees are active in Smart Dollar). Being able to link our bank account to the budgeting app, with drag-and-drop functionality, makes everything so much easier. Our account manager and the support team are top-notch as well. By our company providing Smart Dollar to our employees, it has enabled them to make the most of their paychecks by putting the information to use and being informed on how the purchases they make affect their goals in the present and future.

The most helpful part is the ability to have your paycheck information added each payroll and all the videos that are available to use.

How can you dislike anything with this well thought out and functional system?

They continue to make enhancements to make the system so user-friendly. The majority of our employees use Smart Dollar, and this is our 3rd year renewing with them.

What I love most and has helped my family are the Baby Steps and Money Tools. The Baby Steps and the Debt Snowball Tool have been essential in getting us out of debt when we find ourselves there. The Money Tools section is where it's at! EveryDollar is life changing! How did we manage our money before this? I have not been in an uncomfortable money situation since using EveryDollar because we are planning for everything. And, because we have an emergency fund, we can afford those emergencies that come up-and take care of it with cash and NOT debt!

We've been filing our taxes through SmartTax for the past 3 years now, for FREE, and they make it easy. When I had to ask a question, I got a quick and in-depth response from the experts.

By watching videos and reading articles through the Learning tool, we've got our insurance in order, including life insurance, and are saving more than we ever thought we would in our retirement accounts.

Money problems don't usually have a quick fix-it's a long marathon you can't quit. SmartDollar keeps us on our marathon path.

SmartDollar has easy steps to get your going down the right path without being too overwhelming. I find I only need to log in and use it 2-3 times per month to keep my budget and goals on track. When tracking transactions with the budgeting app, I can get tripped up with payments towards credit/debt because it will show the transaction removing money from my account-payment towards my debt. But then it also shows a positive payment towards my debt-which shows my debt decreasing-however, I don't think I'm supposed to track both because they cancel each other out? EveryDollar doesn't sync two accounts for debt where I can track the money being paid from my checking account and then money being paid towards my debt. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The only downside I have found so far is that smaller banks, local banks, cannot sync expenses to the SmartDollar account. In my area, almost everyone uses a local bank because there are no larger institutions near us. I have online access to my local bank, but I cannot sync my transactions to SmartDollar. It’s a resource I can put in the hands of my employees to support their financial well-being. We have employees with a wide range of financial literacy and responsibility, so it’s common for them to come to me, as the owner, with financial questions or even requests for assistance. Honestly, I don’t have any significant complaints. If I had to point to something, the “add new employee” functionality feels a bit clunky—I have to periodically upload a new CSV with my updated employee roster—but it’s really not a big deal.

One improvement I’d suggest is that if someone registers for SmartDollar using an email address from my company domain, SmartDollar would automatically associate them with my organization, rather than needing to be added to my org first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I use the EveryDollar app every week. Once a year, I use the included tax software to file my own taxes, and I’ve also used the free will creator to make a will for myself and my wife. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

For the EveryDollar app, there were 2 months where the bank account link said it was connected to my bank, but no transactions were being brought into the EveryDollar app. That month was a disaster trying to input all my income and expenses.

A month after that, the same thing happened to a credit card account. After that 2 instances back-to-back, I have to double-check with my account (which is not the best way to spend my time). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It helps me identify my spending. I have learned quite a bit and used the data to control my spending. I learned that I have/had subscriptions that I didn't realize. It has also showed me how even the small expense add up to become a large line item. Example: restaurants and gas station purchases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It took a long time to setup. However, there's really nothing that can be done about that. That being said, anything that requires effort usually pays off. EveryDollar has paid off. Now everything auto updates from my accounts. All I have to do is select the category. EveryDollar tries to remember some purchases, but it still need fine tuning. SmartDollar has an simple and intuitive dashboard that makes it easy for our employees to manage their finances. The tools are a complete package of financial benefits to help them manage all aspects and improve financially. I love using the EveryDollar budgeting tool! It helps so much just to see each month where all of my money goes. I have managed to cut back a lot on spending, after seeing the unnecessary subscriptions and other miscellaneous items I was randomly purchasing. The short educational videos are awesome as well.
