## About Slideshow City
Slideshow City is a presentation management solution that helps AV teams and stage managers handle the full lifecycle of conference presentations in one system. It covers speaker file uploads, automated format validation, review and approval workflows, live stage transitions, and digital signage across multiple rooms. The platform is designed for professional multi-session events such as medical symposia, academic conferences, and corporate meetings. Speakers upload their files through a portal where the system checks formats, fonts, codecs, and dimensions. AV teams review and approve presentations before they reach the stage, reducing the risk of technical issues during live sessions. Key capabilities include: - Centralized control room for managing back-to-back sessions, launching slide decks, and keeping multi-room events on schedule, with built-in vMix and Bitfocus Companion integration for hardware control surfaces like Elgato Stream Deck - Automated presentation validation supporting PowerPoint, Keynote, and PDF, flagging format issues before files go live - Self-check kiosk mode where speakers preview and verify their slides independently before going on stage - Digital signage that updates room screens, lobby monitors, and stage displays automatically with speaker names, session titles, and timing - Speaker room management with check-in tracking, preview stations, and visibility into who has arrived and verified their materials While the platform runs in the cloud, its local applications distribute presentation files across rooms over the venue's local network. This avoids internet speed bottlenecks and keeps large files moving between stage machines, even in venues with limited connectivity. Slideshow City syncs with Registration Town, Summitware's conference registration product, so speaker data, schedules, and program updates flow between the two systems automatically. It also offers a REST API, CLI, and MCP for custom integrations. Target users include AV teams, stage managers, and conference organizers managing events with multiple sessions and speakers.

## Slideshow City Reviews
 ### 1. Effortlessly Manages High-Pressure Presentation Workflows

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Slideshow City?**

I really find Slideshow City invaluable at Media House as it serves as the backbone of our presentation workflow during conferences. The system's ability to handle extensive events, like LINC 2026 in Leipzig with nearly 700 presentations, showcases its robust nature. I love how speakers can upload their files in advance, and when they enter the speaker ready room, everything is already set up. The blazing fast transfers to the stage eliminate the need to chase files last minute. During the show, the straightforward interface simplifies stage management with easy access to timers, speaker names, and panelist overlays. I appreciate the automatic updates on live program displays during schedule changes, ensuring everyone has the latest information. The control room is genuinely built for high-pressure environments, displaying what's live, what's next, and any changes all on a single screen. The signage automatically updates, and structured speaker check-in keeps things smooth with many presenters. The integration with Companion and vMix allows our AV team to manage everything from familiar interfaces without switching tools. The initial setup was very easy as everything is centrally managed with user management across different domains.

**What do you dislike about Slideshow City?**

The initial setup and onboarding does require some lead time — it is not something you can spin up the day before an event. The feature set is also quite focused on conference presentation management. Organizations looking for a broader all-in-one event platform would need to combine it with other tools.

**What problems is Slideshow City solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Slideshow City to handle presentation workflows, solving file chaos and last-minute stress. It streamlines speaker uploads, ensures timely program updates, and eliminates errors in file distribution and timing on stage.

 ### 2. Straightforward, Rock-Solid Presentation Management for Any Event Size

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Slideshow City?**

The software is very straightforward to use and rock-solid stable - exactly what’s needed for organizing a wide range of workloads, from small meetings to huge conferences with thousands of presentations.

**What do you dislike about Slideshow City?**

There is nothing I dislike - I wish clients would more often rely on a Presentation Managemente Software as good as Slideshow City, in order to avoid chaos when it comes to version controll and to be able to find technical issues in presentations uploaded. Highly recommended.

**What problems is Slideshow City solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main task is to get all participants’ data in order, define their roles for a meeting, and receive their presentations via (internet) upload.

Slideshow City then helps you check for technical issues and ensures the room technicians have all the information they need to deliver a flawless conference.

On top of that, you can use timings as a countdown, display the speaker’s name on the screen or the lectern, and more. In short, many challenges of running a conference are solved in one place.
