The layout at times is complicated to look at first, takes time to work through it and understand. **What problems is Slate Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's a place to review applications, check on where are current number are running at. ### 2. It is very user friendly and it extremely easy to use. I also love that most things save automatically. **What do you dislike about Slate Desktop?** I didn't like our transition into Slate. It was very difficult. I'm not sure if it was our fault as an office or if it was the Slate team but it was a difficult transition and continues to be. **Recommendations to others considering Slate Desktop:** This was a great option for our office and has done wonders! **What problems is Slate Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are trying to become a more modern office as all of our files were still paper. We have realized that not only is this program extremely organized for us but it is a easier interface for our costumers. ### 3. It takes a moment for some to display when they are longer, but they appear nicely native. **What do you dislike about Slate Desktop?** Slate is a little slow to respond to some tech inquiries. **Recommendations to others considering Slate Desktop:** Slate seems to be the industry's system of choice right now. It's nice to follow suit, but because they are getting more customers, I think the response time is slower. **What problems is Slate Desktop solving and how is that benefiting you?** It helps us manage event registration because it integrates attendance with our admissions outreach. ### 4. I truly find the scrolling feature to be enjoyable, and visually stimulating. The drag and drop feel of the whole program is absolutely wonderful, and building a slate from nothing is extremely easy. Working for a school, I tend you use Slate to tell a story about a special class and or project - Slate helps create an intense, visually stunning piece that we can show to prospective parents and students easily. No long-winded explanation, no boring course descriptions. Just beauty! Well done Adobe! **What do you dislike about Slate Desktop?** I cannot stand the watermark/footer at the bottom that shows you've created your beautiful, scrollable website, using Adobe Slate. Absolutely obnoxious and totally unprofessional looking. If this could be removed, this would probably be one of my favorite programs of all time. **Recommendations to others considering Slate Desktop:** Choose where you put your Slates carefully! A Slate can be a powerful story-telling tool, but don't overuse them. Pick a story that needs to be beautifully represented; building a Slate for it will come naturally!
