# Who has the best label and artwork management platform for CPG and food and beverage brands vs. pharmaceutical companies needing regulatory-compliant labeling?

I'm comparing label and artwork management platforms specifically across CPG and food and beverage brands and pharmaceutical companies, since the regulatory bar shifts the whole buying decision. Looking at the label and artwork management category on that split.

ArtworkFlow shows up with food and beverage brands in its reviewer base, and its client roster includes names like Vita Coco and HomeChef, with reviewers describing it as helping fast-growing brands accelerate time to market on label compliance.

ManageArtworks is explicitly built for regulated industries, with a pharmaceuticals reviewer specifically citing BOM management and approval workflows with audit trails as what made their processes more reliable, though they noted the portal can feel slow at times.

For pharma teams specifically, has a compliance-focused platform actually caught a labeling error before it reached regulators, or has that mostly stayed theoretical protection you hope you never need?

For pharma, I’d test the exception path rather than a normal approval. Introduce an outdated component, conflicting artwork version, or late regulatory change and see whether the workflow prevents the wrong version from advancing, records who intervened, and preserves the complete approval history. That would make the compliance value much more concrete than simply having audit trails. For CPG, I’d run the same exercise but also measure how much that control slows routine label changes.
