What do you dislike about Skillable?

"User-Friendly Platform with Exceptional Support"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Skillable?

I appreciate the platform's flexibility in providing different login options like using Microsoft or Google, which makes it easy to start using. I find the support and instructions within the labs to be straightforward and accurate, enhancing my training sessions. The ability to view students' screens directly in the platform is one of the most useful features, allowing me to assist them effectively without needing additional tools. Quick support and good availability of resources compel me to continue using Skillable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skillable?

I would like to see an improvement in the platform by having a trainer-specific account that tracks how many trainings have been delivered and how many students have been trained. This feature should provide a panel for trainers to access all the historical data under their profile. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Skillable Labs are useful in certifications and trainings"
5/5
What do you like best about Skillable?

Learning experience was very interactive, user interface has improved a lot making it more UI friendly then older versions. I have been using skillable from past 5years for hands on exercises on azure labs.

I get it bundled with MCT benefits which is a plus point, thus letting me learn any Microsoft concept that involves labs.

Instructions are crisp and clear. During login issue, I reached out to customer support, they were quick to respond like < 1day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skillable?

Sometime labs are buffering/ lagging behind, it could be my internet issue too. During training when I am live with students, it is a bit frustrating but I have been able to manage it by switching context to some other items while the background loading continues.

I feel labs should be interwoven using AI, Skillable can suggest whats next we should learn based on the current lab context. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great User Experience"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Skillable?

Skillable provides a seamless and interactive hands-on learning experience. The labs are well-designed, realistic, and allow users to practice real-world scenarios without any pressure. The interface is intuitive, making it easy to navigate even for beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skillable?

While the overall platform is excellent, there are occasional delays in lab loading or system response, especially during high usage times. Additionally, some advanced users might find certain lab scenarios too guided, limiting open-ended exploration. It would be great to have more flexibility in customizing lab paths based on individual learning goals. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I'd love to hear which lab series you were taking to see if we can get that feedback back to the lab author or recommend another series, if your subscription allows.

"Mixed quality and experience"
3/5
What do you like best about Skillable?

I like that skilled labs are relatively user friendly and easy to use. I like that you can save and restore and have access to the labs for several months. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Skillable?

I have taken several courses over the last year that have used skillable. For the most part, the labs have worked well for me and have had no major issues. I will say that each time there has been some sort of issue though.

In almost every lab the machines were behind on updates, which to a certain extent I can expect, but when you're working with Microsoft the first thing 'support' will always ask if you're having issues is if you're up to date, so why not make sure these machines get updated more than once a year? I have had some that were extremely behind on updates (more than a few years) or were running an unsupported version of Windows.

I have also seen a lot of issues with the lab instructions being incorrect or missing information. I know that Microsoft changes layouts/UIs/etc. a lot, but it should not be that bad that I am having to regularly search for things because the instructions are not correct. Is there any sort of QA done?

One lab I had previously the 'auto typing' was extremely slow (Anyone could type it faster with one finger).

Another lab, the machines were slow to respond to any input and were almost unusable.

My latest lab that I had was by far the worst. Within the virtual machines, webpages would not load, and Microsoft's built in troubleshooter was saying connectivity issues. I had to constantly restart the web browser or the machines themselves. I spoke with Skillable support and they run you through the list of trying to rule things out, which I understand, but if multiple people from different companies, regions, etc. are having similar issues, it's not something that I can fix or have control over (it's not my computer!). It seemed like the virtual machines were given the least amount of resources to run what they needed and had a horrible internet connection. I was constantly getting pages not loading, error messages or just the three dots waiting for the page to load. And this is all within the virtual machines as the skillable webpage was working fine. Also, I had a feeling the Microsoft tenant I was given was not properly reset from the last user, as some of the steps were already completed and I had to undo or remove items to perform the steps to complete them.

All I ask is put more effort into maintaining and QA'ing the labs so that we can actually complete them fully and learn. I feel like I spent more time in this lab waiting for something to load or having to figure out how to do it because the instructions were wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
