Your post brings me right back to balancing chemical equations and feeling like it was a foreign language. After beating myself up, I went and asked another science teacher if he could explain things a different way. I encourage you to reach out to your professor and ask the questions you have. I'm not sure which CompTIA lab you're taking, but my hunch is that it's designed to help you practice and apply what you've learned in class. That will be difficult until you have a core understanding of the subject matter. Keep trying - you are going to get through this and then if this isn't your vocation, you never have to do it again! :) That's the beauty of a semester. It's finite and gives you the opportunity to see where you shine as well as where you'd rather not spend time. BTW - Skillable is the company that hosts the lab you're taking with CompTIA. I have noticed numerous discrepancies between the execercise instructions and what's actually in PowerBI. The most frustrating part is how they tell you to reference the 'snippet file definitions to create the following measures' but then don't give you access to the snippet file destination from the exercise. They give you a two hour time limit on how long you can use the exercise module so you don't have time to look up how they are done and still have the time to complete the actual assignment. You should make sure that the labs will go smooth wothout breaking the bank. In the past, i use Azure Pass or Free account for my students for the lab works. Skillable provides cost-effective and high performance lab hoster. I dont need to manage users, manage the budget for each user, and create worksheet for the students. If only they have personal subscription rather organization subscription.
