They were all made with SketchWow. But I foresaw a problem: I was managing partner of a New York advertising agency staffed with art directors and an art studio that employed 8 smart, talented people. It was my secret wish to have the talent to draw and sketch like those men and women. But, alas, I'd never be like any of them. I'm "left hemisphere." Besides, they were at my beck & call to illustrate and sketch the decks we'd build for the agency's pitches. So, what the heck, I bought and installed it anyway. Of course, it "sat" silent in my PC for weeks. But I came into the office (O often used as my "classroom") one day for the sole purpose of learning to use SketchWow. Ideas came to me, but a fully functional working grasp was elusive. Determined to learn, I kept at it, and by the end of that Saturday, I felt I "got it." I was able to use SketchWow! And I now use it for almost every pitch deck we make. I've since "retired" but have gone off on my own. And I can draw/sketch/illustrate or whatever you want to call what the software does! (Can you tell? I'm very pleased with myself!) I credit SketchWow with the way my pitches and presentations captivate the attention of my prospects and clients. And, as a result, the rate at which my new little one-man agency has grown. **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** Though there are great, detailed tutorials, I was late in finding them. But be assured, you'll find them with ease (pro tip: don't multitask). I'm not certain this is a "dislike," but new features are introduced regularly—brilliant ones! I no longer have an office to drive to use to learn from the tutorials, but I typically have to reserve a Saturday to study the new ones. The creation process is easy, but requires some time to master given the richness of the options available to the user. The creation process is quite intuitive and easy. One of the things I most like about it is that the visual language of the software is very friendly for people of all ages. It is not linear, and animations are easy to use and/or include. I have used other tools such as Canva and Miro, and find that Sketch Wow exudes "creativity" versus a more formal and business templatuzed approach. **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** There is little to dislike about Sketch Wow. I think that one of the "downsides" is that there are so many new featurebeing included, expanded, or introduced that one has to spend time catching up. Then, I purchased SketchWow Animate+ and the Monthly Templates Club in February 2024 because I was so happy with the software. Jason and his team have been amazing in enhancing SketchWow since its initial launch, evolving it into what it is now with presentation function, animation, and AI integration, making infographic creation even faster and way more creative. Users can also add audio files to animate infographics with sound effects. Overall, SketchWow is easy to use, with plenty of templates to choose from and customize for various uses. I love it! **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** - It doesn't have many presentation effects or transitions yet, as it’s primarily designed for creating infographics rather than serving as a full-fledged presentation tool like PowerPoint. I do a lot of presentations, mainly with my graphics and custom models. It's the easiest and quickest way for me to capture my thoughts and work out something that will get the job done. I like that it's designed to give me that "hand-drawn" look and feel I want, especially when I am early in the ideation process. I won't immediately know where I want to get to and need to test alternative designs and approaches. The stock components help me go quickly from a thought to something visual quicker than doing freehand drawings or using more complex graphics/drawing packages. In all, it's a serious bargain for the capabilities it provides, and I cannot imagine not having this tool in my workflow! I enthusiastically endorse SketchWow! They do put the WOW! in my creative flow. **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** The only thing I dislike about SketchWow is that it does an online license check every time you open the software. This isn't very pleasant because you must be online to use it. When I travel, there are times that I'd like to work and may not have network connectivity. In those situations, I'm currently out of luck. I hope that the vendor addresses this limitation in future releases. **What problems is SketchWow solving and how is that benefiting you?** It is my go-to tool for doing mock-ups, initial concept designs, and constructing/refining models. It benefits me by helping me stay focused on doing the work and not having to worry about the mechanics of the drawing tool. Its ease of use and flexibility are unmatched for this use case. I've tried a lot of different products, and this one is the best for my workflow. ### 9. I love using SketchWow! It's not very intuitive, so this causes me to have to spend more time than I would using PowerPoint. I would like to see an upgrade to the animation tool to apply settings to speed up the time it takes to create one animation slide and less fingering, which can tire out the hands. SketchWow has made this a more efficient and pleasant process by providing a quick and easy way for me to generate a lot of different samples in a wide variety of styles. Then, when the client finds something they really like, it's easy to generate elements to insert into the final products. Even if the SketchWow materials don't end up as part of the final materials, I'm using their templates as inspiration. I use it for my social media and it is really, really beneficial. Really easy to use and the number of features, especially the new AI beta feature is really promising and I do notice that I tend to use it a lot. The templates are also really helpful and the templates are good for my content generation. And can also help with utilizing new ideas and sparking my own creative ideas. So really helpful in regards to that. The animate feature is a blessing in disguise. Genuinely one of the best things they could have added. **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** I'd say one down side may be or least helpful is customer support. Yes, it's frequent in emails, but I would like other modes of customer support if possible. I do use it a lot, so my frequency of use is high. But sometimes I do notice my laptop itself slowing down when using SketchWow which can be frustrating at times. But it is really easy to implement, ease of implementation is good. And ease of integration is really good as well. But those are my dislikes. **What problems is SketchWow solving and how is that benefiting you?** The business problems that SketchWow helps me solve is the problem of rapid content generation. SketchWow makes it really easy to do this where I used to struggle with content generation just using Canva on its own. Canva is a great. But the integration of this with other software is what I believe makes it a standard to me. ### 23. That's where SketchWow excels every software that i recently purchased. No matter which form you'd communicate - you are 100% guareenteed that you'll be contacted by someone at SketchWow with answers. That alone - for me at least - trumps all the shortcomings in the software PERIOD. **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** There are some quirks that hasn't been ironed out. One of the biggest concerns I have is that in 'Full screen' mode - you cannot switch between the Presentation and other windows. That'll break the presentation and you'll have to start that page all over again. The current workaround is that instead of "Full Screen", you'd need to change to "Window" mode. This issue would happen on 'Multi-Screen' setup as well. And to be honest, I don't dislike anything about it. My personal favourite is the ability to apply faces and people shapes. It's very easy to use: select, resize, change colours & outline styles. There's also the option of running a presentation natively in Sketchwow - the animations are really cool. And the export options are sufficient for me - the various image types, pdf, or mp4. **What do you dislike about SketchWow?** If you're a "Powerpoint shop" and want to run your presentations from Powerpoint, you'll have an additional step to export the images and import them to ppt. And for changes, you'll have to re-export them. Not a biggie - just export when the design is finalised. :) **What problems is SketchWow solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'd always felt restricted by Powerpoint - the shapes and icons weren't allowing me to express what I wanted in my presentations.
