# Which PR analytics platforms work best for a corporate communications team at a company that operates across multiple industries and needs to monitor sector-specific coverage?

Hi corporate comms folks and PR analytics software reviewers on G2! Wanted to start a proper discussion on this: which PR analytics platforms actually hold up when the monitoring has to be split by sector — particularly when there’s one corporate communications team at a company that operates across multiple industries?

Three names keep coming up in the PR analytics space on G2: Meltwater, Muck Rack, and Agility PR Solutions:

Meltwater is the widest source footprint here, with dashboards and searches you can segment per business unit or sector. The flip side of that flexibility: G2 reviewers score its setup below category average, and multi-sector configuration is exactly where setup burden multiplies.

Muck Rac’s journalist database is organized around beats, which maps neatly onto sectors. You monitor coverage and see which trade reporters wrote it in one motion. Better suited to teams whose sector work is media-relations-led than to heavy analytics splits.

Agility PR Solutions monitors across online, print, broadcast, and podcasts, with managed-service analysts who can build sector-specific briefings for you. Sensible when the team is small relative to the number of industries; less so if you want everything self-serve.

This one’s a bit tricky because I want one tool for one comms team that runs monitoring across multiple industries. So, when a few of these look evenly in demos and on paper, what's the thing that actually decides the answer? Is it the source coverage, the workspace segmentation, or something no demo shows?

The hardest part is not collecting more coverage. It is keeping each sector’s reporting clean without creating five separate monitoring systems. A useful platform should let the team build distinct searches, dashboards, competitors, topics, and media lists for each business unit while still rolling everything into one corporate-level view.
