I really appreciate that Sisense displays all the information I need in one place and I can smoothly use it within my platform. It's great that I can connect directly to different data sources and transform the data, so I can easily compare information from various sources. I also like that I can ask questions directly to my data for deeper analysis. Building dashboards with no code is a big plus, and I love that more technical users can customize views with scripts and more detailed coding, especially using the Compose SDK. The Compose SDK is super valuable for self-service BI as it allows me to customize everything and render views and widgets directly on my front end. Sisense helps me create custom data tables within the Elasticube that can then be used for analytics. It also makes it easier to build user-friendly dashboards from complex data by using functions and user-friendly widgets. Integration with an application using JWT is very straightforward. I appreciate the flexibility Sisense provides by allowing me to incorporate JavaScript at both the dashboard and widget level. This feature gives me more control over how widgets interact with other elements on the dashboard. I also found the initial setup to be pretty easy. The visualisations are clear and easy to generate, dashboards can be shared with users, or automated out as emails. Performance is good, with data builds compiling quickly. We were able to integrate successfully with our system on items such as SAP inputs, and active directory SSO for logins. Support always respond in a short time, and our technical consultant always has methods to achieve our business goals. Subscription costs seem way cheaper than rivals such as Tableau. Elasticubes can get very complex, and visually our logic is difficult to see. Other ETLs I have used work more like a flow, where descriptions/labels can be added at each part of the process. There’s a known delay in data refresh between our platform and Sisense. While it isn’t terrible, it can still create issues when building reports, reviewing or adjusting platform data, and then validating the final dashboard or widget results. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like that Sisense keeps testing the boundaries. It's a dev space for developers, almost like a sandbox, giving a lot of control unlike other BI tools. I specifically like all its integration features and I'm a big fan of the Compose SDK, which allows breaking out of standard designs for dashboards and widgets, giving full control of the look and feel of a brand. Sisense enables clients to combine and mesh different data easily with ElastiCubes and offers multiple types of embedding features, making the integration seamless and creating a modern look for end users. I definitely think dashboard sharing or code dashboard ownership gets a little wonky, a little weird. I also find that the integration and the Python integration can be a little difficult if you're just starting to use it. The documentation on the website itself could also be improved.
