**What do you like best about Shippo?**

The best feature of Shippo that I have not found with any other similair service is the ability for me to get a full snapshot of all the orders I am buying labels for.  From there I can change the service on each shipment without having to leave the screen.  If I have 15 orders and some go fedex, some ups, some canada post.  I can shop the rates right on that screen, change the services and hit buy labels and it will print them all out.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

I dont have any dislikes currently. I did have an issue with billing for sometime where each label was getting billed individually and was just some extra work for AP but that has since been sorted out!

**What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shippo allows me to populate all my shipping services in one place.  I have it linked to shopify and the handshake between the two softwares makes life a lot easier.  All new orders get populated into shippo, when the label is bought the tracking number goes back to shopify.

Sometimes I get lazy and just grab a label from the other app, would be nice if those linked to Shippo direct so I could see the best pricing options.

There wasn't enough Custom Field to record our shipping info as well as all of our other additional fields we continue to fill out per order.

Shippo does take away the need for manual order building via independent carrier websites.

Manually created orders don't reflect the Sales Order number.
Doesn't support splitting orders.

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

It's very easy to set up the API and get rolling with shipping labels. We were able to get up and running in no time.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

They closed my account and wouldn't open it back up without me sending selfies (weird?). I would be cautious about integrating this into your system. Shippo will close your account if they believe you are fraudulent. They require you to upload your ID and take live selfies and send them to them. I deal with other vendors and businesses all the time and do not have to do this nonsense. Beware!

**What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shippo helped us eliminate using 3rd party software outside of our ERP system. It was helpful having it integrated into our system.

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

The ability to shop rates on the fly and print labels in bulk is something I have not seen on any other platform.  I have tried multiple shipping ERPS and every one of them would add way more fulfilment time to my operation.  Shippo allows me to select all of my orders at once and select different shippers for each and then printing them all.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

The only downside is the billing.  It would be nice to be able to get all my shipments compiled onto one bill and sent weekly.  Easier for accounts payable to pull those out.

**What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shipping our online orders while shopping rates to get the best pricing and keep shipping costs low.

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

Shippo makes multi-carrier shipping easy and efficient, especially for small businesses and teams managing multiple orders across different platforms. The dashboard is clean, the API is well-documented, and the label generation process is smooth. I particularly appreciate the real-time tracking updates, automated notifications, and support for bulk shipping workflows. It integrates well with platforms like Shopify, Etsy, and even custom order systems, which helps us streamline fulfillment without constantly switching tools. The webhooks for tracking updates are a great feature that adds automation and insight to our process.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

While Shippo is solid overall, a few things could be improved. First, the handling of webhook reliability and delivery diagnostics could be more transparent—when something goes wrong, it’s not always easy to pinpoint the issue without external testing. Additionally, adding more customization options for tracking pages and branded notifications would really enhance the customer experience.

From a user perspective, the UI can feel limited when trying to manage large batches of shipments—basic filtering, tagging, and export features could be more flexible. Also, support for more international carriers and services, especially regional couriers, would be a huge win for global users. Finally, offering more robust error messaging or sandbox testing tools would make integration for developers much smoother. However, at the end of the day Shippo is still the best tool out there for this job.

**What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Shippo is solving the problem of manually tracking shipments across multiple carriers in our Airtable-based purchase tracking system. Before integrating Shippo, tracking information had to be checked manually on each carrier’s website, then copied into Airtable records—wasting time and increasing the risk of errors or outdated data.

Now, with the Shippo API connected to Airtable, shipment status, location, ETA, and last tracking update are automatically pulled and logged in real-time. This means we have a centralized, accurate, and up-to-date view of all shipments—without any manual effort. It keeps our team informed, helps us respond to delays quickly, and provides better visibility to stakeholders relying on accurate delivery timelines.

Overall, Shippo has turned a tedious, error-prone process into a seamless and automated workflow, which saves time and increases reliability across our logistics and purchasing operations.

I love how Shippo has integrated with my WIX website. I also love the shipping discounts!

There isn't much I dislike about Shippo. It is a little wonky if you want to create a label independently from orders that come in through your site (once you have integrated it into the site).

Shippo keeps me organized. It helps me keep track of the online orders that come in. It creates the labels for me. Also, it provides me with a shipping discount so that I can offer my customers the best rate possible.

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

I use Shippo daily for my Etsy store and they make it so easy to ship packages from their platform. The integration between the two companies is practically flawless. I love that Shippo has plans for those that are just starting out with limited budgets all the way to full blown day to day businesses. Shippo has something for everyone regardless of the amount of volume that you do. The dashboard it very simple to navigate from importing sales from my shop to creating new labels within the website. I love that they give you options on who you prefer to ship with and their pricing is affordable.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

One of the biggest downsides to using Shippo is that it doesnt' cooridnate very well with my Etsy shop. Sometimes when I am printing off the packing slips from within Etsy, they aren't lined up and listed exactly how they are in Etsy. Another thing that I've noticed is that sometimes it misses when the payment has went thru and it will show "payment pending" on Shippo.. so I have to double check from within Etsy that it is in fact an actual sale. I also wish their was a way to adjust the weight of a package with multiple checked instead of having to manually change it individually.  It's small things because overall I like the website.

The easy of double checking people's addresses, the simplicity of printing the labels and creating labels. I also enjoy that they have it built in for me to process refunds when I sometimes accidently buy postage.

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

Shippo's UPS rates are considerably better than what I can access through WooCommerce or my own UPS account. The interface is smooth and reliable. Unlike some competitors, there's no monthly fee for using this service (though a premium subscription would entail a fee). Connecting to WooCommerce and eBay is very simple.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

My biggest dislike is really a feature request: I wish I could display live rates at checkout in a WooCommerce store. As it is, I wind up refunding customers for the overage they pay in shipping, as we don't want to make money on shipping.
Additionally, it would be nice to integrate more tightly with WooCommerce's order notification system, sending tracking info as part of the Order Complete email instead of as a separate email from Shippo.

**What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a small online retailer and have access to other shipping options, but Shippo provides better rates with minimal overhead either in subscription costs or management time. We ship primarily USPS and UPS.

Best prices for everything . I have done the comparisons. I have tried all of the competion. ALL OF THEM. Even directly through UPS. They are the best price, hands down. I have tried other because I desperately want to sync my cvs square orders to a shipping platform. Goshippo is the best price and it's worth the hassle.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

I have a list... 
1. paste address section is terrible.
2. Import CVS is terrible
3. Email tracking information to customer doesn't send automatic. I have to go manually one by one to send tracking email to each order. Every single week! 
4. I would like to paste customer name, email and address into the section directly since the cvs and orders don't sync automatically 

5. I would like to pay a balance and deduct from their instead of having a bunch of $100 charges.
6. Pages freeze very easily

Shippo is easy to navigate and understand.  It records all informaiton about the shipment and allows access to previous orders.  Can switch out payments as needed and creat profiles.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

Only downside is when you create an "estimate" for shipping, it stays in the system.  There is no way I could find to delete or remove.

Its benefiting by cost savings and ease of use.  You can create profiles for repeat clients and will put up most recent pricing.  Even allow you to change dates and package sizes for better savings.

I love the amazon integration. One stop shop for all the carriers make choosing super easy. Also love the email notificaitons for the receiver.

I wish you could save addresses that you ship to frequently.

We used to have to shop around for all our shippers to see who fit best. Shippo allows me to see all those in one place. It confirms shipment with Amazon as well as a nice looking packing slip and email notification for the customer.

-Based on the package details shippo provides a comparison of major courier companies, these report include the shipping rates plus the delivery time.
-Label maker: One tap label creation for shipment as well as return.
-Provides a trial as well as a free version which is sufficient for smaller businesses.
-Shipping calculator: Highly efficient shipping calculator which directly uses the courier partner APIs for it's calculation.
-Web based app which means we can use it on Desktops as well as mobile.

-Actual Shipping charges differ if you choose an unsupported partner.

-There's no option to contact the support team via phone.

-Return & refunds process is tricky, takes a long time.

Shippo allows us to compare rates, print labels and track packages using a single application, it has streamlined the entire shipping operation in a few months. We no longer have to rely on any third party apps for our activities.

The downside about shippinis that they don't do all of the work for me. I have to measure and weigh my own packages instead of having a personal assistant to do it for me at no extra charge.

Shippo does not allow you to quote palletized freight from common carriers.  Customer Support was difficult when I had an issue and needed help.  I ended up using another provider.

I don't think there are solving any problems for me currently.  It is hard to contact anyone if needed immediately.

Shippo has been very easy to use and I got great prices from available shippers.  If I needed a refund, it was also easy to submit that.

I didn't have a platform to connect from Shopify and Amazon over to my 3PL. Shippo did exactly that.

Their labels are cheaper than buying from the courier directly.

Non-existent customer service. I don't really know what to do. Been using them for months and never had to use customer service. Now, I think I need to change to the other large company in the space.

They don't really solve problems. They just give cheaper rates than buying elsewhere. I would say they create more problems than they solve.

Shippo is one of the easiest shipping platforms to use. I have tried others and they were cumbersome and convoluted. They have great customer support and I use it often.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

I wish Shippo had more webhook/API integrations with Pabbly and Zapier. I'd love to be able to send an sms requesting a review when the package is delivered. Maybe it can do that but I just don't know how yet.

I like that Shippo is so user friendly, customer service is available if needed, and no hassles.  From setting up our account to creating types of shipments to label printing, everything was very easily explained.  I enjoy the fact that I am not limited to the amount of times I can log in a day and create a label.  I do love that I can work on a label on my laptop and move to my ipad or my iphone.

Honestly, I don't think there is anything I dislike about Shippo.

The ease of use made using Shippo very handy for my business. The fact that it integrates with some many various e-commerce platforms is a big plus when starting a business, and the budget is still a big concern.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

Needs more versatility as far as the type/style of the shipping label that can be used. It would be very beneficial to have a one in-done style invoice that you can print and have the shipping label at the bottom that you can peel and apply to the order.

Don't have to use eBay, Amazon, or any other built-in shipping service. Since orders translate directly to our e-commerce site, it's streamless and makes shipping as simple as calling UPS for a pickup.

The ability to get all the options needed to set up shipping is great. With every major shipping company ready to set up and discounts are a great touch for small businesses!

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

While the options are great, there are many of them, which is quite confusing to get set up. It would require extensive time to get set up for a small business or startup, which is rough as there are many things to get setup when starting a business.

Shippo is bringing the competition to businesses looking to ship their products all over with automation features at the ready. Features and options for the most popular shipping companies available with options to integrate at deeper level with a current account if the business so chooses.

* Rates are reasonable
* Fees to use the platform are reasonable
* Supports most providers
* API for importing orders

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

I've been using Shippo for 2+ years. It's been a constant headache. Here are some of the top hits:

* Getting billed $108 in carrier fees for a $120 package which was sized correctly and weighed correctly in their interface
* Constant nickel and dime charges from carriers. Seems like a new one each week. Boxes are measured with bogus dimensions which causes the fees
* You don't know you're being charged these fees unless you check your bill
* To give them some credit they were responsive and worked with me on most of the problems I encountered. Only until recently..

Honestly, don't nickel and dime people. Charge a monthly fee and be honest and up front.

It was pretty easy to figure out the site and get started quickly without much of a learning curve.

Took a bit to get used to the interface and it is hard to select multiple orders or look at more of a summary view but otherwise not much

We have to ship swag to our employees regularly and being able to input multiple orders at a time is great

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

Like literally my billing is connected to UPS and FedEx, and it keeps requiring me to put a card down... Which I do every time... And then it doesn't update for 24 hours and support is nowhere to be seen, like a hippo underwater. They really don't understand bysinesses that need to keep things on time, they're more of the ChinaPost mindset (if it arrives it arrives).

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

Support, frustrating forms that don't save your input and clear all your friends if you misclick, extremely long wait times to get a response, seems like Goshippo has never had actual experience with shipping from a business standpoint.

**Recommendations to others considering Shippo:**

This is not it, trust me

I've tried to tell them for years, their system has literally been the same for the past 4 years, I haven't seen a single difference. They're wiping their butts with the seed money while I could pay a student to program what I need in a week. I'm genuinely livid with this company.

It is easy and convenient to ship my own packages at home. It also provides cheaper alternatives than what is offered at the post office.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

One of the downsides of using Shippo is having to print the label, since sometimes accessing a printer can be challenging personally.

It keeps me from having to wait in the long lines at the post office, it also saves me money on shipping costs.

**What do you like best about Shippo?**

I like how it allows me to select custom sizes for my business packaging and it really saves me money on shipping costs. It also syncs all of my orders from my GoDaddy site so i can just create my labels automatically along with letting my customers know that their package has been fulfilled.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

The one thing i dislike is the time it takes to process a refund for a label and that instead of being able to update an address on a label that has already been paid for, i have to refund and redo the address if something is typed in incorrectly by a customer. It is also not very mobile site friendly which is a little annoying.

**What problems is Shippo solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has helped me keep my customers' orders in order and allows me to let them know all of the details of their orders as well. I really like the email to notify feature as well.

It is easily integrated with our Wix store. The orders automatically sync up, making printing the shipping labels quick and easy.

Occasionally there will be glitches with their website where we have troubles logging in or getting to our orders page to print the shipping labels.

Easy Enrollment, seems to have alot of features if their verification process wasn't irritating.

**What do you dislike about Shippo?**

After signing up with an account the software seemed pretty straightforward, however after working with it a couple things happened: 
1. My account was locked when I used the Test API system to start building an app
2. To unlock my account I was told I would need to provide an image of a Government Issued ID
3. I would also need to provide documentation on my business just to ship a couple products. 

Update*
They reached out and opened up my account. I am actually quite pleased with the service now.

The API is the reason that I'm using Shippo. 

The low initial price point of no cost is great for starting things out. 

This has helped us so we don't need to manually input information and get quotes.

more integrations with other sites, not shopify and GoDaddy. Other than that the website is perfect and I use it every day! It saves me so much $$$! I switched from pirate ship!

I have not had any problems which means shippo is doing an excellent job! I called once to ask a random question because I could not see the function and the rep clearly pointed it out.

Shippo has a default insurance company which is themselves. However, the fine print says that the damaged item must remain with the recipient. So if a buyer claims damage, you must refund their money, and they keep the thing, or you send them an additional item. There is no way to inspect the damage and have a successful claim. ABSOLUTE SCAM! Stick with the shipper-supplied insurance.

I filed a legitimate shipping damage claim, which was denied due to their deceptive practices.
