It was a great management software that truly helped our office communicate and plan events with clients across campus. The system was very easy to work through. **What do you dislike about Series25?** I didn't like that the system was very limited in its efficiency. After moving from my position to another University and utilizing a different software, 25Live is behind the ball when it comes to partners and communication within the system. I would highly suggest 25 looking into a more efficient process in communicating to campus partners with task and resource items. **Recommendations to others considering Series25:** When utilizing the system, you will want to have all of your spaces on campus plugged into the system. They should also communicate with your rep from Series25 to look into campus partner communications. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Series25 benefited the department in have a centralized software that oversaw the booking of every classroom/event space/outdoor location on campus. It benefited the department tremendously with working through requests and not double booking clients in spaces. ### 2. I can find venues right there and schedule them as well and the graphic space anaylsis is really amazing and essential if your planning to renovate **What do you dislike about Series25?** Depending on how many course sections I'm adding it can take a little while to get my results, but not always **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Having series25 makes our whole schedule more efficient and that means we are more efficient and the graphic space anaylsis fixes any space problems for construction etc. And really helps you decide what to do ### 3. In the educational setting, we have many clubs, academic, departmental, and other types of meetings, along with external events, internal events, and various other reasons rooms may need to be booked. The system also allows for all of the requests (room, media setup, food, furniture layouts, etc.) to be requested at once, and sent out for approval to all areas dealing with that specific request. **What do you dislike about Series25?** There are some fixed issues and lack of editing that can be tedious with the system. For example, once a request is sent, you cannot make edits without directly contacting an area regarding the edit. This means that for food, you will need to request that separately if you are not sure what you may need booking out. The user interface is not the cleanest and most friendly layout, and it can run slow at times. **Recommendations to others considering Series25:** If you have issues with room shortages or double booking, or priority issues with requesters, this is an easy way to mitigate some of the issues, and training and usage are very simple. Our University allows anyone to be trained, so we have faculty, staff, and students who are allowed to use this for room requests. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** This stops the issues of double booking and lets all areas of campus book in areas otherwise off limits to them with approval. It means that people in one department can use spaces in other departments or building without treading on their "reserved space". ### 4. It allows my team and I to run searches on practically any combination for specific events and keep all of our reservations organized. **What do you dislike about Series25?** I don't like how dated the program looks and often acts. It seems to glitch or delay when in the middle of processing or inputting information and we usually have to contact someone to service the site. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** 25Live allows us to organize ALL of our campus events in one database and view/edit them at any time while processing. The ease of accessing and providing information for our customers' events is a huge benefit! ### 5. It was easy to go through. **What do you dislike about Series25?** It is a slow product when logging in. I would have to refresh to be able to login. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** It had helped me organize campus events to make the communication to the customer easy. Their interfaces are fairly intuitive to me and having experience with scheduling software, especially the Series25 line, makes me a desirable candidate in my industry as it does seem to be the standard in higher education. **What do you dislike about Series25?** In use of R25 and 25Live I believe the Series25 products would be improved by making it easier to toggle between login accounts (R25) and sites (25Live: production, admin,config, lynx). In the two institutions that I've used this software in, I have not had the benefit of rolling out the system. Updating information could be more streamlined which is why having an extensive understanding of how you might use the software to address present and future business problems is advisable. **Recommendations to others considering Series25:** Planning pays off, Series25 products offer holistic solutions so be sure to leverage the resources available during the implementation process which may be the best opportunity to set your institution up for success. The CollegeNet knowledge base and conferences are great opportunities to network and problem solve in a fairly specialized field within the higher education industry. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Space and resource scheduling is streamlined with Series25 solutions as is calendaring and reporting. Delivery and documentation of resources and reservations is made easier when a broad range of campus partners are on-board with using and maintaining the Series25 products. ### 9. It makes it easier to request an event so I don’t have to search availability individually. **What do you dislike about Series25?** On average it takes around 3-5 minutes to even get to the login screen. It sometimes even requires multiple refreshes as well. Very slow product initially, but usually works well after it loads completely. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have solved the need for students to require faculty assistance in requesting rooms and halls for performances, meetings, and receptions ### 10. The tabs at the top make it so that you can view how you want to search for events, by event or location, etc. It's very simple and intuitive to create an event and the calendar make it easy to see them all. **What do you dislike about Series25?** When there are a lot of events in one day, the pages can get large, maybe a way to condense and click to enlarge on that date would be better. **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** This is used for Non-academic room scheduling, so for meetings or get togethers, student affairs functions, etc. It's nice because it's much simpler than Banner to schedule a room for an event, so anyone can use it fairly easily. ### 12. Strong user group in our area. **What do you dislike about Series25?** Security and shibboleth setup was a bit confusing. I seem to remember something along the lines of certain admin accounts couldn't authenticate through shibboleth. Can't recall exactly **Recommendations to others considering Series25:** consult with other universities for great resources **What problems is Series25 solving and how is that benefiting you?** Cloud based solution, more stream-lined classroom reservations I can't comment from a user perspective as I am an IT employee who was involved in implementation from the technical side.
