Seon has been a vital and very important tool in our role as Risk Management Team. This has been our go to system for detecting fraudulent accounts, actions and other suspicious activities.
While fraudsters are evolving, being more creative in finding ways to bypass or rig fraud detection systems, Seon is able to keep up with the ever-changing demanding landscape providing real time risk scoring which helps up make sound or better decisions.
The interface and layout are also easy to understand. Having this tool helps us review accounts and transactions faster which in return improves customer service experience like avoiding delays. It also helps the company prevent or minimize unnecessary losses through prevention of bonus abuse and other similar activities.
Seon is also a big consideration in crafting effective standard operating procedures. Overall, Seon has proven to be a reliable tool in bringing more profitability to the company without compromising security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
While Seon is a very good tool in Fraud Prevention, it has some shortcomings and aspects that can be improved. This may depend on the users of data but speaking for our company, here are some of my observations:
1. It would be more helpful if there's a "tip" tool or short info on icons when you hover providing an interactive reminder of its function. While this may create some clutter or become possibly annoying, an option to toggle it on and off would be good especially for new users.
2. An option to disable map movement or freeze it. Sometimes it can be annoying when moving your mouse in the main page especially if the cursor goes to the map area as it automatically zooms even if you don't intend to use it. An option to disable it can save a few seconds which is vital especially when checking several accounts in a very short period of time.
3. While this may not be on Seon's part, there are occasions where Seon is unable to trace or flag similarities in names and date of birth. There are instances where accounts are simply missed to have connections despite having the same name and dirt of birth which is a very likely indicator of multi-accounting.
