Super quick and helpful Customer Service. Support is incredible. Real time monitoring means rapid fraud detection. Smooth integration and implementation. Risk Team is using SEON when reviewing accounts to stop bonus abuse, affiliate fraud, reducing chargeback risk, etc. Easy to use system with a lot of features (like custom list's) to prevent fraud during the registration process. With setting up rules you stop fraud already during the registration process. However, even existing accounts are checked while the customer is logging in and you can identify connections between accounts you never checked before. Best example are savings when you stop affiliate fraud as the CPA cost is nowadays quite high. With real time monitoring Risk doesnt rely on internal reports anymore and decisions are made quickly. ATO or ATO attempts can be prevended whith some simple rules you can create or rules which are already set up by SEON. The best things about SEON are its UI and its support. I've been pleasantly surprised each time I reach out to their support team; they consistently address my issues right away and provide a clear solution or timeline. Its UI is highly intuitive and aesthetically pleasing, which makes navigating the platform a breeze. While I don't have direct access to its pricing or integrations in my current role, the overall platform performance is very reliable. My favorite feature by far is the automated sanctions list screening. What do you dislike about SEON? While SEON is a solid platform, it has a few shortcomings that I'd love to see addressed in future updates: Limitations in Rule Backtesting: SEON allows you to backtest rules against historical data, which is great, but this feature does not support velocity logic. While I understand the technical complexity behind this, it feels like a missing core feature for a platform where the primary clientele relies heavily on fraud monitoring and rule building. UI Customization: The platform could benefit greatly from more user-level customization. I would love to see a dark mode, as well as more flexible data layouts for easier analysis. The current panels are a good start, but I wish we could customize the layout within the panels themselves., especially regarding our custom fields. The ability to pin a dedicated column for a specific custom field would be a huge plus in the transaction or alert page. Data Organization & Readability: It would be incredibly helpful to add descriptions or tooltips to custom fields. This would serve as a great internal reference and ensure all our teams are aligned on what each field means. SEON is solving three major issues for our team: Agile Rule Building: While we can build rules natively on our own platform, doing so requires developer involvement, significant time, and navigating technical hurdles. SEON allows us to create both simple and complex rules using various data types quickly and efficiently. Once you learn the system, it completely solves the bottleneck of needing to deploy rules rapidly in response to emerging threats. Automated Sanctions Screening: Having a platform with built-in sanctions and PEP (Politically Exposed Persons) list screening solves the highly difficult problem of having to source and integrate a third-party tool ourselves. Out-of-the-Box Scoring System: SEON provides a reliable scoring system and grading scale right out of the gate. Having the ability to easily route decisions—like choosing between 'review' and 'decline' based on a solid scoring mechanism—saves us the massive headache of having to engineer our own logic from scratch.
