I use to make use of SendyScale (which dissapeared overnight) and their supprt was non-existent. Apoorv is on a next level when it comes to customer support. Thanks for that. Sendy Bay interface is great, and I enjoy the drag-and-drop builder. No more HTML coding mailers. Installation was quick and easy. **What do you dislike about Sendybay?** SendyBay is doing what it's supposed to do. There is nothing to dislike. **What problems is Sendybay solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's solving a huge pricing issue from third-party mailer companies. Our South African rand is weak competing against US currencies. 69$ a month is a lot in ZAR. Sendy Bay is priced at the right price so that we can fully make use of Amazon SES. ### 2. Before using them we did two things. First we self hosted out Sendy account through a GoDaddy shared server and were constantly being throttled due to overusing bandwidth. Secondly, when we switched to our own self hosted server (bare bones non-shared server) we were quickly hacked and the email that our marketing emails are sent from was used to send substantial amounts of spam. We have had no problems since switching to SendyBay and it allows us to continue sending marketing emails for cheap while feeling more secure. Amazon SES has excellent inbox deliverability and is very inexpensive and even gives you your first 62,000 email sends per month for free. With Sendy, you typically have to self host the app using Amazon EC2, Digital Ocean or some other hosting service. Self hosting can involve complicated setup steps, application upgrades, downtime and a whole bunch of other issues that I didn’t want to deal with so I looked for managed Sendy hosting where I can concentrate on my email marketing and not have to deal with the hassle of self hosting. SendyBay has been very reliable for my Sendy hosting needs and their support is knowledgeable and friendly. SendyBay also has added additional features on top of the base functionality of Sendy including a drag-and-drop email builder, list cleaning and email testing. The drag-and-drop email builder is handy and is a big upgrade over Sendy’s default email editor, which isn’t very good. If you are looking for a powerful and inexpensive email marketing solution, then Sendy is a great option and if you don’t want to deal with the time-consuming technical hurdles of self-hosting Sendy then SendyBay’s managed hosting is an ideal solution that allows you to concentrate on your email marketing. **What do you dislike about Sendybay?** I have been happy with SendyBay's service and support, and there isn't really anything I dislike. **What problems is Sendybay solving and how is that benefiting you?** SendyBay handles the technical aspects of hosting my Sendy install which is something that I don't have the time or energy to deal with. ### 8. It is straightforward to configure your software in the cloud. It took me less than 5 minutes to set it up. Sendybay also has many templates that you can use when emailing other people. **What do you dislike about Sendybay?** It would take a long time to send a mass email. My sends are very slow, still not as fast as Drip. My bulks mails take 8-10 minutes to go out instead of 1 minute. I wouldn't say I like that the price goes up when you send many emails. You don-t get support for your previous plans. Then the second awesomeness is the very low cost. With sendy + sendybay + AWS (well tuned) bulk email cost a tiny fraction of big ones like Mailshimp. I read in another review that sendybay is slow. Actually their technology goes as fast as AWS permit with a typical rate of 14 mail per seconds with max 50K mails / days (AWS usual limit). **What do you dislike about Sendybay?** I just didn't dislike anything. I wrote to support asking about this and they fixed it. Now my sends are faster. It's still not as fast as Mailchimp or other platforms, but I don't really mind if my email blast takes 5 minutes to go out instead of 1. **What problems is Sendybay solving and how is that benefiting you?** Thanks to sendybay I save a ton on email marketing software. Also I feel the price is very competitive and well worth its value for all the excellent support we're getting, too. **What do you dislike about Sendybay?** I tried very hard to think of something worth mentioning, but couldn't come up anything more than "I wish I could have quick links for pages I often use". But even they're just like a few clicks away so it's not a big deal for me; just would be nice. (And even that's solvable by just favoriting the pages I visit the most). (On another note, the email template building is-for now-heavily reliant on you knowing HTML to make great looking emails, but for me this wasn't a huge problem, although for beginners it might have been... but I also do know it's rather a feature of Sendy itself than Sendybay - but the Sendybay guys are even working on a better editor!) **Recommendations to others considering Sendybay:** I only have good things to say about this company's support level.
