"a structured connection of ssh"

What do you like best?

Secure CRT is a fairly complete tool of high level, security and secure connection, in its complement determines to create a structure of ssh and telnet connections so that you can have to manage connections and do a good job

What do you dislike?

I do not like that the tool is based on licenses. So I can not make add-ons and I can use all the tool, additionally I do not have how to carry out that benefit of structured connections. For me, do not label the connections with flags or labels to detail the view of the connection codes

Recommendations to others considering the product

I recommend CRT for the level of management of the network devices that merit only connecting via command. Thanks to it they can manage a good job of connection ssh and telnet. I recommend it 100%

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have solved different problems with the devices that I only manage via ssh and telnet. sometimes that devices via web, I can manage them via command (CLI), the firewall of my company, I can manage them remotely

"My Terminal Emulator by Default"

What do you like best?

SecureCRT is a powerful tool that have become my main terminal emulator since 2014, and this is because let me connect to all may devices no matter the protocol enryption that is setup,

It have a very nice, clean and easy to use user interface, that is fully customizable, and this is one of the thing the i really like, because let modify almost everthing, color theme, organize my sesions in differents folders, i can control multiples sessions at once in tabs.

You can modify the scrollback buffer size, i don`t know how big, i think is more than 100k lines, but it let you keep a history of everything that is been doing in a particular session.

And one of my favorites features is that give you the power of record scripts that let automate rutines that make more easier that`s repetitive tasks.

What do you dislike?

The only thing that i dislike about SecureCRT is the price, i know that is a pretty advanced application, but is kinda high the price for just one computer.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Get the trial version and tested before you buy it, and if you are not going to manage more than ten devices, look for another option more affordable.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We are able of centralize and standardize the connection to the differents devices by making sessions templates that any of our engineers can copy to his profile to start configuring or trobleshooting right away.

What Terminal Emulator solution do you use?

Thanks for letting us know!

"Everything you need at your fingertips"

What do you like best?

I like all the security. You need to use a passphrase to access it. Then once you are in you can easily save your username and password to each site. Plus you can organize your access to devices by site location. Plus you can add relevant notes like site address to each site. Plus all of the various ways that you can access your devices. You can use Telnet, SSH, serial and so forth. It is really a very versatile product.

What do you dislike?

The only thing there is that is not to like about this product is that it is not free and therefore if I wanted to use this at home I would have to pay for it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Be prepared to be blown away. I really love how we organize all of our sites by folders and save usernames and password. Although that is not very secure we do have the ability to secure access to the software.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We can tailor the experience to be used across a whole department.

" Terminal manager, Device management"

What do you like best?

one of the best terminal managers, it is very easy to use and has many functions, you can connect with the equipment you want and create a quick access list so you do not have to always be adding the devices when you want to access them. the interface with the user is very pleasant and easy to understand. a very simple installation of the program.

What do you dislike?

what I do not like about the program is that it is not free, although it has a trial version but with a few days of use. out of this the tool is excellent for managing your devices.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I recommend this tool 100% is super useful, organized and very simple to use, its installation is extremely easy, the only detail is its paid version but it is not an impediment, if you want quality to manage the administration of devices this is ideal.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

the tool was used in the form of tests was visualized as it was the management of the terminal, its functions, and other features that it has. It has a nice visual environment, and above all it is very easy to use

"Advanced session management that saves time and streamlines repetitive tasks."

What do you like best?

What I like most about Secure CRT is its ability to configure, manage and customize a large number of sessions (I've read up to 5,000) with full control of scrollback, key maps, colors, fonts and others.

It also supports SSH 1, SSH 2, Telnet, serial and other protocols. Exporting and importing SecureCRT session profiles is easy. Two areas where SecureCRT really shines are in its configurability and in the ease with which a secure tunnel can be established.

What do you dislike?

The application was born for Windows, so I feel that in MacOS is not so powerful.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Secure CRT is a must have to almost all professionals in the IT. It'snt cheap, but is the best of the market.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

At work, I constantly need to send commands to multiple sessions, and the easiest way is to use SecureCRT. In addition, I program python scripts, which work on multiple platforms.

"Best Telnet and Secure Shell Client you can Buy"

What do you like best?

SecureCRT is a fast, secure (it supports practically all encryption protocols) SSH client. The interface lets you create and save many logins for quick access to your connections. It also lets you map keyboard shortcuts to your most used commands, which is a huge time-saver.

What do you dislike?

You only get so many upgrades before you have to buy it again, but I think that is a small price to pay for such a useful program.

Recommendations to others considering the product

SecureCRT is a major time-saver. The only other game in town is Putty, which does not even come close to the features and ease of use as this product. If you have to connect to a telnet or SSH connection on a regular basic, do not hesitate to get this program.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

We use SecureCRT to connect and manage our Linux servers. My job would be very difficult without this client.

"Best client ever"

What do you like best?

It works in any environment, even very complex. I'm used to ssh everyday. SecureCRT (for MacOS) also allows the use of jumpHost which is a great stuff.

What do you dislike?

This is not free ;) Seriously, every good software has a cost. SecureCRT is not very expansive but once you completed the trial, you just cannot uninstall, you immediately use your credit card to continue the amazing experience.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Just go live, it will make your days more productive

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

just doing my daily tasks with a well organised session manager. It stores password in very secure way (using macOS Keychain). Doing ssh from command line need you to remember the exact IP or host name + the password. SecureCRT presents you the session, just double click and you are in !

"A solid SSH client for everyday management"

What do you like best?

I like the theme support. It allows me to change my screen for better readability in different settings.

What do you dislike?

I really don't have anything bad to say about SecureCRT. It honestly performs up to my specifications.

Recommendations to others considering the product

I think if you're looking for a SSH client that makes your daily tasks easier, SecureCRT is a great option to consider.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I manage a number of servers both for myself and clients using SecureCRT. I've found a good number of improvements in SecureCRT compared to using other more barebones SSH clients.

"Excellent terminal emulator with all the functions of a Telnet client and SSH protocol "

What do you like best?

This emulator allows you to increase productivity by handling advanced sessions that save time and automate repetitive tasks. It uses emulation support for VT100/102/220, ANSI, SCO ANSI, Wyse 50/60, Xterm and Linux console, and supports SSH2, SSH1, Telnet, Telnet/SSL, serial and other protocols. You have the ability to configure up to 5000 sessions, matte keys, personalizacion of colors and fonts.

What do you dislike?

This tool was originally developed only for Windows, so many features still remain only in the version for this operating system. Although there are versions for Linux and MacOS, these versions do not seem as versatile as the Windows version.

Recommendations to others considering the product

It offers enough improvements to be able to work with several terminals at the same time. Among other things, it allows to execute scripts and commands in several windows at the same time... quite useful when you manage many machines.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I use a lot of equipment which I have to access using different protocols, mainly by SSH. Secure CRT is a very powerful and easy to use software, especially to save logs and execute repetitive commands.

"Best ssh product"

What do you like best?

running scripts on the device, transfer database to another machine, transferring files to network devices.

What do you dislike?

ease of use is open to be redesigned for it.

Recommendations to others considering the product

Easy to install almost all windows versions and handle it. Licenses sended by email are seperated info for every machine and entering step by step.

What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I can make secure connections to all devices we use on the company network and datacenter. It supports all old and new connection types. I can log my commands entering on the device and review later. By creating scripts, i make some actions faster than manual. And also i can create devices list and transfer this database to another machine in which securecrt to be installed.
