It's absolutely useless out of the box **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** I first bought scrapebox 10 years and it worked well then. After trying to use it with the original license, scrapebox wouldn't honor the "pay once" lie so I bought another one. Boy was that a mistake. Essentially the software can't do anything without buying an addon like captcha breaker or buying more proxies or the yellow page addon etc. And who knows if any of those actually work. When asking for a refund, the owner gives you the rigamarole trying to dodge a refund. I also sell software and when a refund request is made, ai do it no questions asked. This software and the people that run it are a joke **What problems is ScrapeBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** It didn't solve any problems. Just wasted my time ### 2. Extremely Useful SEO Swiss Army Knife for over 10 Years **Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars **Reviewed by:** Dan D. | SEO Analyst and Consultant, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.) **Reviewed Date:** June 21, 2024 **What do you like best about ScrapeBox?** - Huge number of useful tools and functions all in a single product. - One-time payment (buy it for life). - Continuing support and updates, even after 15+ years (as of 2024) **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** Some of the features are complicated to use (but there are excellent online tutorials and videos) **What problems is ScrapeBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** I'm a whitehat user and there are too many uses to list here (literally hundreds, counting the addons) but here's a couple common uses: 1. Verify dead/live links from an online link index. Link indexes like Majestic/Ahrefs do not work in real time so they are out of date and inaccurate when reporting lost links. Additionally, if a site is blocking their crawlers they will report the link is dead when it's still up (and Google is still counting it). This happens a lot and Scrapebox can process a bulk link list of allegely dead links to verify which of them are actually dead and which are still live. If a link is actually dead, SB it will also report the page status (http status code) to see, for instance, if the link was removed or if the entire page or site is gone. All this is can be cleanly exported to an excel/.xlsx/.csv file as well. 2. Stripping link URLs down to domain or subdomain-level to create a disavow file. Seems so simple but excel can't do this, online tools can but they make mistakes with some URLs. SB always does it correctly, in 1 click. ### 3. With keyword you can simply research without knowing it. As link checker, it can also scans lot of pages easily. **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** Sometimes it's little slow while using some options in scrapebox. User interface is not that much friendly, could have improved little bit. Activation time is little high. **What problems is ScrapeBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Great tool for SEO and saves multiple URLs It acts as proxy harvester to harvest proxies from different websites. Scrapebox also allows to download videos and extract emails easily. ### 5. The program is still being developed, maybe not very dynamically, but the author keeps tinkering with it. For ~ 100$ we have the software on property and lifetime license. Just 3 years ago it was for less than 70$. With the right footprints you can collect really a lot of information in a relatively short time, bearing in mind its price. It is not a speed demon, but a lot also depends on the proxy you are using. For it to make sense you need to buy a paid one, because working with free ones is a real pain. However, if someone wants to gather a lot of data fast, he is probably ready to spend some extra money. I currently consider this program a "must have" for marketing related people. The amount of collected data can be skilfully processed and transformed into financial benefits. **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** The user interface is not very friendly. It takes a while to learn the program. The second thing is that without a proxy, and on a static IP, it is impossible to work. You need good proxy. Another thing is the activation, it is 2022 and after registering the program you have to wait up to 12 hours for its activation. Very very poor. I do not know why it is not yet automated that licenses and activations are automatic or require some kind of reset by "clicking" in the panel. The author has ignored the implementation of basic functionality. I think that the program has lost much of its relevance and is not as great as it was a few years ago. Very advanced users will find much better software for large scale data collection e.g. A-Parser. It is also incomparably more expensive, something for something. **Recommendations to others considering ScrapeBox:** If you work in marketing, collect email data, search for customers and feel like creating footprints (it's not that easy if you want to have a good harvest) think about this program. When you process really large amounts of data think about the competitive A-Parser. It's more expensive, but the capabilities are huge. If you are just starting with SEO, don't bother. Buy or test an All In One program like SEO PowerSuite and I think you will be more satisfied. **What problems is ScrapeBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** As I wrote earlier, a lot of data can be collected with the program for further processing. Unfortunately, in order to have any sense, you need to create footprints well, and here it happens differently. Practice, practice and practice again. ### 6. Scrapebox allows me to build profiles of email addresses to contact later on in my campaign. It also allows me to search multiple sites at once to find the email addresses I need. **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** Sometimes it gets a little slow when scraping on a wider scale. It is also not a simple app to master. It takes solid time investment to understand the features and safe practices. It allows you to perform a huge amount of tasks on a single PC, and it also allows you to get links from forums, blogs, and more. My favorite part about Scrapebox is that it allows you to create a large list of keywords to target, and it also allows you to check search volume and competition for each keyword. With this software, you can easily find keywords that have a low competition, but a high search volume. ### 7. It has been going super strong for over a decade and there's no sign of slowing down. I've been using it since 2011 and I can vouch for it more than any other SEO tool. There is no SEO tool that offers more value for money than Scrapebox. Note: Scrapebox is infamous for being used a lot for spamming blog comments. But if you learn how to use it for White Hat SEO, you'll know it's real worth. **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about the software. Would recommend but you can find other tools and use them before your registration and activation for this one is processed. **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** The registration and activation process is from 1984. You pay $100 then wait up to 12 hours for your software to be activated? **What problems is ScrapeBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gathering data. It can be effective at scraping websites for keywords, but again, I got another tool and completed the work before activation of this software was completed. ### 10. Good. When it works. Scrapebox is a tiny little software which can do more awesomness than any of the big cloud machines out there. I use it for my prospecting and data gathering and it's just a beast. You're able to scrape data from search engines, social media pages, and business directories super simply and super fast (provided you have good quality proxies). I used to launch a search in the evening and get 2 million unique results in the morning. You're also able to get the Meta data on the sites you've gathered, and the check their social media profiles + their domain authority + if the site is still live. My sales process consisted in entering my keywords, taking the sites I've scraped and get the META. you then have all the titles and descriptions of the sites in your excel, and this is done instantaneously ! It means instead of having a VA doing 6 years of work, you get in 8h 100,000 potential customers site, with the description and title in an excel. Then with a couple of clicks you can get their social media links, and their rank on google. It's pretty awesome when you think about it, and its just the tip of the iceberg. **What do you dislike about ScrapeBox?** The custom data harvester is really hard to use, I've never been able to make it work even after watching their youtube tutorials. Some parts could be updated and simplified. **Recommendations to others considering ScrapeBox:** If you know what you're doing, go for it. It's better than any other (more expensive) services you'll find online. **What problems is ScrapeBox solving and how is that benefiting you?** Gathering and verifying potential customer websites and information. It's a very valuable tool in my business and without it we could have never achieved the numbers we did in sales. ### 12.
