## About Scrapbox
Scrapbox is a note-taking app for teams.

## Scrapbox Reviews
  ### 1. Outdated Software

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Alternative Medicine | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

Most features are absolutely useless and you can find them in free online tools however backlinks in blog posts would be good feature, too bad its outdated and doesn't work as advertised

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

They refuse to refund you even tho it's a digital product with a removable license that is linked to your email address. Please save yourself some money and don't purchase this software - you will regret it

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Please don't buy this software! Look for better options

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scrapbox doesn't solve problems it only causes new ones! Lets say you want to scrape some info from web, prepare to spend huge money on proxies cause they will die fast

  ### 2. Excellent for brainstorming and team work

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mo S. | Data Analyst, Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2019

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

It's the easiest service to use ever. It took me like 1 hour to get used to it and started organizing my ideas. The first I started by myself then I shared it with my colleagues in order to use with the team. Additionally, you can add as many as you want of pins in an organized way. It's not like OneNote, I thought that at the beginning. Also, easy to add drawing.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

Unfortunately, there is no app on PlayStore or AppStore for it. It's only on the computer. I think that's the downside. It needs more work to get to perfection, but it's fine now.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Start using it along with another service, if you like it you can move ahead with it

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved the way we share ideas, we still have not fully adopted it, but we might in the future.

  ### 3. Not dissimilar to Trello, would benefit developer teams more than marketing/management

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

Scrapbox seems simple. It's easy to create a new sheet, easy to rearrange them - easy to drag and drop images in. It responses well, doesn't seem laggy and there's some lovely customisation features. The stream view is particularly useful for watching a project unfold - and keeping on top of updates.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

Whilst it seems simple, it's somehow *too simple*, which makes it complex. I was drawn in by the 'Want to work with less friction?' and 'New kind of knowledge base' particularly when we're looking for something internal to share knowledge across teams. However the lack of support, templates and tour style navigation made it difficult to really figure out how to generate the planning style I was looking for - or indeed the way it looks on the features page.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I wanted to implement an internal knowledge and communication base. Where users could share thoughts and collaborate on projects or ideas. However in testing it hasn't really been a straightforward process, so unless there's an improvement in the self-serve support provided I'm not too sure it will benefit our way of working. This could however be of use to our development team.

  ### 4. Scrapbook is a fantastic platform for collaborative note-taking!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Somontha P. | Chemistry & Digital Marketing Intern, Biotechnology, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2019

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

I use Scrapbook consistently at work in the biotechnology field for project management. When working with small teams, it is particularly useful since they have a live mark up editor so everyone on your team can access images, links, and important documents in real time. It makes project management easier when juggling multiple contracts going on at the same time.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

It would be great to have an app available for iPhone and Android.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized increased productivity because Scrapbook allows project management in the small teams I work in. The ability to have slack notifications is also a plus. The interface is easy to use as well.

  ### 5. Well crafted knowledge management tool for effective workflow

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aster S. | Technical Specialist, Telecommunications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

I like Scrapbox's cards in the dashboard where you can see all of your notes and data at a glance. It also has an autosave, even though it is browser-based. Thus, when you accidentally close one tab, it saved the last action you made on your board. The drawing board is also a nice feature, but not really a big impact on our work. But I like how you can add team members on the board and simply interact with the one another. You throw out ideas and are easily organized withing Scrapbox. And lastly, you can publish your board publicly and share the link with other people. Nicely done, especially some of our customers don't have Scrapbox account.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

Since it has a drawing feature, why not make a document signing feature, where people can edit their pdfs and sign it right then and there. Or export to pdf where the drawn signature is easily affixed. But that is more of a suggestion.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Scrapox is doing a good job with their product. The team has developed an app that helps us manage urgent information that we can easily call. I would highly recommend this tool especially when you are in a fast-paced environment.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Scrapbox as our easy access sheet of all important information that we might convey to our customers during a call. It is also very easy to share the board with a link, and no need for our customers to create an account or face the daunting technical complexities of sharing screens.

  ### 6. Feature-rich launchpad of our important campaigns

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joy D. | Brand Marketing Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

Scrapbox's unique drawing board is a very nice addition. It lets users sign their notes and documents, and an integral part in our diagramming procedures. I liked how they made the importation and exportation of files across networks is made easy with just a text file. I liked, also, how they integrate slack notification. Team members in our regular communication medium gets notified when an important update has been made on our knowledge receptacle. And lastly, I like its unconventional way of formatting text. No need to use a mouse, just plain brackets.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

I think, less tech-savvy people will find Scrapbox a bit difficult to get ease with. As mentioned, it has an unconventional way of formatting text items, with the use of brackets. It is like a very light programming. Though the options are readily available for formatting, but I think it would be best they would just highlight more the use of visual text formatting.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Scrapbox, with minor polishing, will be a great tool for general note-taking and idea-management tool. I reserve my full recommendation, but I merit their developments so far, and with that, I believe they are heading a good path for a start.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As brand marketing spearheading campaigns across Asia, using Scrapbox has been beneficial to us by making it our knowledge receptacle. We add our important content messages, press kits, articles for push, and email drafts for reviews. That way, we have a separate tool for important stuff that are about to get public. We use drawing section to sign our documents and we get notified via slack with those changes. Convenient and time-saving.

  ### 7. Convenient app for jotting quick notes and scribbles

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rae Jayson C. | Full Stack Developer, Telecommunications, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

I like how Scrapbox was created for speed. They have drawing feature whenever an idea pops up and needs a visual aspect to be drawn. They also have a shortcut for adding links to text with the use of brackets, which is very handy most of the time when adding links to my texts and phrases. I also like that you can export and import your notes back and forth because the notes are saved as a .txt file. It means, I can open it to virtually any Windows application, even on a browser, whenever I find the need to. And lastly, I like that they have integrated it with Slack, and people get notified of changes and comments on the project.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

I do not like that they have no image media support on their text editor. Clipping images should be easy especially it is browser based. Another thing, they could also develop an ipad specific version of the app, in order to maximize their drawing feature. Safari seemed to be buggy when loading the web page, sometimes. Overall though, it is a convenient tool to use for notes and scribbles.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

If you are good with native image support, but needs a good note taking app that jots down your visual side like drawing and scribbling, then Scrapbox is something you should check out.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used to write down scribblings and to-do lists on a piece of paper and take an image of it. OCR is bad with handwriting, so there is virtually no use but to remind me of the idea. With Scrapbox, I get to draw my ideas and put them to life with renders when I get back to my proper working unit. Effective tool for spur-of-the-moment ideas.

  ### 8. An Easier way to collaborate teams of all ideas

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chela T. | Account Manager, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

I like how Scrapbox developed it's intuitive dashboard where you and your team can be private and public of what is going on with your project. You can have your ideas tucked into place nicely and systematically organized for collaboration. I like how it is not solely for note-taking but for all sorts of creations and idea making. I like how they made the projects, ideas, and notes into card pieces. You can see all of your creations in one glance. They also have a developer support for people who are techie enough to develop their own api calls and integrations. And they support slack, so any updates from my students and teams are easily forwarded via slack. Handy.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

None that I could think of. I can not complain about anything because it does well and solves some of our problems in our workspace and team collaboration. I wish they would support drag and drop of pdf files.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Scrapbox is leading a good way. It stands out against the competition by reinventing itself as more than a note-taking tool, but a collaborative one for that matter. I highly recommend them to people for their organization.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As an educator mentoring young individuals on startup projects, I like to see all of our projects organized and neatly arranged. The logistic and communication part is also taken cared of because it has slack notification which we can easily see changes of our boards.

  ### 9. More than just a note app

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Princess P. | Consumer Insights Manager, Consumer Electronics, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

I like the dual view, timeline view for focused scrap-writing and grid-view for overall bird's eye view of the entered notes. I also like the draw feature. I also like that you can add members of your team and set certain projects to a limited number of people. In my case, I limit my teams' access on certain projects that don't concern particular people.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

They definitely need an app developed. By the looks of it, the workflow is better with the aide of a complimentary mobile app. Right now, it seemed you are only stuck with browser version of the tool. Also, there seemed to be a bug with their drawing tool on the MS Edge browser not rendering properly the drawing area and then crashes.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Scrapbox better pivot fast. Currently, the are satisfying our business needs and solving some business needs. But the team collaboration and note-taking niche are filling up fast. They need to find ways to keep up with the competition. I think they are heading to the right direction, just a matter of how fast to get there. They need to add more features and solve more problems for current consumers and users to stick around, else they will be losing them in a matter of time.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scrapbox is more than a simple note-taking tool, it is a collaboration tool for teams who are highly inclined to fast-tracking development. Currently, the problems being solved by Scrapbox are our signature campaign collaboration.

  ### 10. Sweet Knowledge Management tool for my Content Schedules

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Carl G. | Project Engineer, Computer Software, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

I like Scrapbox's Drawing tool. It is like a scrap box but digital. I like you can add your scribbles and is readily downloadable and shareable. I also like how they make the notes like cards for easing glancing, looks almost like trello. You can create separate projects for each of your notes, and you can organize them the way you want it. You can even change the color theme, and each project has its own URL, which is nice for showing it privately. Or you can simply switch your project board to public, so everyone can see.

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

I wish to see a mobile application for this one. It would be nice to do my scribblings on a mobile app, rather than a solid hard mouse. But I get the idea they are still developing, and probably that's one thing they are looking at right now.

**Recommendations to others considering Scrapbox:**

Scrapbox is a nice tool for content and knowledge management. I think they heading the right way, and it would show for their constant developments. I would recommend them should anyone is looking for a tool to manage their contents.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I manage my contents on Scrapbox because I can create and collate the contents for public relations and content management team to follow. It gets the work done, by making sure that I am right on time and effectively managing all the knowledge, notes, contents, drawings, files, and media in one place and ready for the next step.

  ### 11. Scrapbox

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordynn A. | Project Management Intern, Higher Education, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2018

**What do you like best about Scrapbox?**

Scrapbox a new style of team noting. It takes collaboration to a whole different level

**What do you dislike about Scrapbox?**

It is not terribly unique, many other products on the market with the same benefits.

**What problems is Scrapbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ease of post business meeting collaboration. So after the meeting we are all still on the same page and not left in the dark
