Designed to be intuitive, user-friendly, and cost-effective, ScheduleReader empowers users to quickly understand the project status and make informed decisions to keep projects on schedule and within budget. The software is suitable for a range of users, from non-schedulers who need to review project schedules to project controls, project managers, and schedulers requiring fast access to schedule data, report generation, and project analysis. ScheduleReader is widely used as a XER file viewer and an alternative to viewing project data in static PDF printouts or Excel files. Why consider ScheduleReader? - With ScheduleReader users can transition from the static view provided by PDF files into viewing project information in a more sophisticated, dynamic way. Personal views with custom filters, sorts and groups per individual project specifics are supported. - Schedulers can save time and share project schedules as XER or XML without formatting and exporting plans to PDF. - Schedules can be constantly up-to-date by introducing a two-way communication channel between the teams from the field and the teams from the office with the unique Progress Update feature. ScheduleReader is available in two versions, ScheduleReader and ScheduleReader PRO. It also helps to ensure all stakeholders in a project are aware of its status at all times. I like the GUI of ScheduleReader. **What do you dislike about ScheduleReader?** The only thing I dislike about ScheduleReader is the limitations in their standard version **Recommendations to others considering ScheduleReader:** I think you should try it out. The software allows users to analyze and keep track of projects progress, and even offers a two way-collaboration. **What do you dislike about ScheduleReader?** Limitations on the Standard version (View only) for the XER and XML schedule data. **Recommendations to others considering ScheduleReader:** Evaluate the amount of projects the company manages in a year-basis, the frequency of changes and the number of stakeholders that could benefit from the Schedule Reader report. **What problems is ScheduleReader solving and how is that benefiting you?** Enhance the possibilities comparing with the Adobe Acrobat (pdf), once it provide a dynamic view of the project data compared with a Stactic view of the PDFs. ### 4. You can import a baseline via an .xer file and then set the baseline to the project. - you could have different baselines depending on what reader wanted to see **What do you dislike about ScheduleReader?** no PDF option / printing was a challenge. filtering and grouping needs improvement. **Recommendations to others considering ScheduleReader:** give it a try. I hear the mobile app is improving too. **What problems is ScheduleReader solving and how is that benefiting you?** schedules could be customized according to the recipient / content / logic /etc. ### 5. It supports both .xer and .xls file formats. It has advanced filtering and printing options. It doesn't have any learning curve or training costs. And most importantly it offers very powerful EPS, WBS and OBS views. It works on Windows, Iphone and MAC. **What do you dislike about ScheduleReader?** It's a little costly as it's a stand-alone program that is bought separately from Primavera P6. Printing options doesn't include a PDF option which is a must. Custom filtering is not as powerful as it is in P6. Also, grouping options are very limited and need to be expanded on as well. It doesn't support .xml files. **Recommendations to others considering ScheduleReader:** PrimaveraReader is very user-friendly. I recommend it if you need a project viewer that allows users to open and view project data exported from Oracle Primavera P6. **What problems is ScheduleReader solving and how is that benefiting you?** When I was training last year in a construction consultancy office related to a H.A holding we couldn't do without it. As we used Primavera 6 very much and we needed to view the project details and plans in a simpler way that doesn't involve all the complexes we went through when we were creating it. So we would use it to simplify our project activities, schedule and grant chart. It worked well with our existing systems and would process without requiring any integration and without making any changes to the project database. It also allowed automatic sending of activity progress update (% complete, Actual Start Date, Actual End Date .. etc.) that we could import in the Oracle Primavera P6 in a few clicks with no error. ### 6.
