I find the interface of SAP Fieldglass isn't very user-friendly. I think there could be a bigger use of AI and a redesign with fewer tabs or more organized tabs within each tab. What I like best about SAP Fieldglass is the structure it brings to external workforce and procurement-related processes that are usually hard to manage consistently by email or across different spreadsheets. In practice, the biggest value comes from having a clear workflow for requests, approvals, and tracking, which makes it easier to follow where things stand and what still needs action. I also appreciate that the platform creates a more standardized process across stakeholders, which reduces confusion and helps avoid gaps in follow-up. Once people are familiar with it, it improves visibility quite a lot and gives a stronger sense of control over activities that can otherwise become very fragmented. The integration aspect is also important, because having this type of process connected to the broader enterprise environment makes the tool more useful than a standalone system. From a return-on-investment perspective, the value is mostly in better governance, more reliable tracking, and less manual coordination. It's been easy to implement and to use frequently. The receipt capture and upload experience is another sore spot: images don’t always auto-read correctly, so I end up retyping details that should have been pulled in automatically. SAP FG is one of the most popular VMS available in the market to manage Contingent Workers, I have been using it to mange contingent workers for different clients. Its bridge the communication between Vendors/Consultancy and the clients in managing contingent workers. I use it to track active job status and submitted candidates application status and beyond.
