Before Fieldglass, external labor data is usually a "black box" of PDFs and manual invoices. What researchers like best is the centralized data model. It provides a consistent schema for every contractor, gig worker, and SOW (Statement of Work) consultant. SAP Fieldglass has been a total lifesaver for getting our external hiring organized and out of messy spreadsheets. I really love how easy it is to track spend and compliance in one spot without having to constantly ping vendors for updates. The reporting is super detailed, though I'll admit the interface feels a bit dated and takes some getting used to. That said, once you’re over the learning curve, the automation saves a massive amount of manual admin work. The process without Fieldglass was more cumbersome and time-consuming, so it has definitely streamlined operations for us.
