- Never had a capacity issue, Reliable that way. Never had to worry about quotas either.

- Easy to scale up and down

- Choices in each individual components (full freedom to choose amount of CPU, ram and HDD and pay for only that)

- Amazingly easy to get started with a simple load balancer type setup or a job queue setup.

- Takes some time for a machine to come up.

- Want more circuit breaker kind of stuff.

We have used Salad for many months renting 30+ 4090s directly (and many more indirectly through our own user's rentals) to support our dePIN AI generative art inference network. Not only do they have the most affordable rates, but a very reliable network backed by an intuitive and professionally built front-end, can't ask for much more than that. Customer service / account management is great. They can take crypto payments and are happy to partner with new startups in the AI space. The only downside is that they don't support persisting Docker Volumes between worker sessions or offer a way to dedicate worker nodes more long term to your project (a pool of reserved instances that can have your assets pre-cached, persist runtime downloaded data between re-allocations, etc). This is a big deal if you have significant 24/7 demand for worker nodes with significant 100-300gb model caches like we do, but I hear things are in the works. What I appreciate most about Salad is how straightforward it is to host generative AI models that power our services. The platform makes it incredibly easy to deploy and access these models, offering a truly user-friendly experience. It's also a very affordable solution compared to traditional cloud providers, which is a significant advantage for us. While generally positive, we've encountered a couple of usage-related issues. Firstly, the time it takes for machines to become active can sometimes be a bit longer than ideal. Secondly, we've experienced instances where machines are listed as active but don't respond to requests. It would be beneficial to have a more robust mechanism to automatically identify and handle these non-responsive machines, perhaps through reallocation or automated rebooting. Machines frequently fail and machines takes a lot of time to start. So we often more machines than we actually require to ensure reliability.

Generous usage limits and provides good capacity. Using salad has reduced our costs by a huge factor.
