We also use the app for annual leave requests which has been great. **What do you dislike about RotaPlanner?** The only thing I would say is that when getting the annual leave notifications it would be better if it could be any number of hours instead of full or half day and specifically for us we have a rule of 3 people off at one time so once I've seen the notification, I have to then go to the day and check it before I can approve or reject. It would be better if it was slicker so you could check the day at the same time as the notification somehow? I also find sometimes it can be quite slow and I have to click a button a couple of times. **What problems is RotaPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?** It's been great for having a long record of shifts overtime, tracking TOIL, sickness and annual leave. The main benefit is that the updates to shifts are instant and able to be seen by all staff. I am able to direct people to the app more often than having to find information myself or explain things so has been a great time saver. I love that you can also use to create a series of shifts, individual availability etc. All extremely helpful. ### 2. It would be great if there were a reliable standalone phone app. As it is, the current phone app seems to freeze at times, which can be frustrating. **What problems is RotaPlanner solving and how is that benefiting you?** We’ve tried numerous rota programmes in the past, but none have quite met our needs. Rotaplanner does a great job all round and has been a much better fit for what we were looking for. ### 3. Compared with what we used previously, it takes less staff time to input data and to calculate everything. ### 4. It has made our rotas a lot easier and being able to add ongoing shifts has been great for our home care service.
