It connects to the roaster you already own, records every roast live, and keeps green coffee, roast plans and finished batches linked in one workspace. Start with the machine Rostoc reads bean and environmental temperature, rate of rise and machine status over the connection your roaster already has: USB, serial, Ethernet (Modbus TCP), Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, depending on the model. The catalogue holds 263 roaster models across 93 brands, of which 198 are supported and 55 experimental (counted September 2026). Support is per model and per connection, and the catalogue shows exactly where your machine stands before you install anything. Roast day Pick the roast plan, the machine, the charge weight and the green lot, then roast against a reference curve. Rostoc marks Charge and Drop automatically, and marks Dry End, First Crack and Second Crack when bean temperature reaches your plan's targets. You always start and stop the recording yourself. On compatible machines you can send gas or heat, airflow, drum speed and setpoint changes from Roast Studio, and each change is recorded on the curve. After the roast Every batch gets phase timings, weight loss, development time ratio, a consistency score against its reference curve, and a short written analysis of what happened. Every batch and green lot gets a code (RB-0001, GL-0001) that you can print as a QR label and scan back to its record. Green coffee inventory (Growth plan) Coffee lines, lots and warehouses, with a ledger of every stock movement. Each roast deducts from the lot it used, so stock falls when you roast, not when someone updates a sheet. The inventory dashboard shows stock value, how many weeks each coffee will last at your actual usage, and orders on the way. Existing stock imports from CSV, XLS or XLSX with a mapping preview. On your desk and in the browser The desktop app runs on macOS, Windows and Linux. On Foundation and Growth, batches, plans and inventory are also available in any browser at web.rostoc.co. You can export your whole account, a single roast as CSV or JSON, or a stock-and-value snapshot for your accountant. Switching from another tool Import Artisan roast files and machine settings, or Cropster roast and lot exports, so your reference roasts and green stock come with you. Help when you need it An assistant built into the app answers product questions, discusses your roasts with the batch data in front of it, and walks you through connection problems. Where Rostoc stops Rostoc does not do order-driven production scheduling, wholesale ordering or fulfilment, roasted or packaged stock, or structured cupping and QC. If those are central to your roastery, a broader operations platform will serve you better. Pricing Every new account starts with 30 roasts on the top plan, with no card and no time limit. After that, Hobby is free for 30 batches a month on one machine. Foundation is $19/month for 50 batches a month, browser access and cloud backup. Finally, we found software that doesn’t charge per kg. The UI is very sleek, the connection is stable, and it’s updated often. It supports the whole flow, from ordering beans to roasting and inventory. The AI integration is actually helpful, and the support and documentation are quick and responsive.
