  ### 8. Roam Revolutionized My Work-from-Home Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

Roam offers a sort of intangible sense of presence so you can feel connected to your teammates while working remote. I use roam every day, and can attest that it is a much better experience for remote work than the Zoom/Slack combo so many of us got used to in 2020. The visibility the map brings means it's easy to tell who's around and available NOW (which the "green dot" in other apps fails at), and I have a better sense of what's going on in the company. It also makes me feel more like I'm working with other people, which is nice because I work in a different city than my coworkers. My calendar isn't full of meetings because the map enables quick drop ins for efficient (mostly audio-only) conversations. The GitHub integration makes it easy to quickly discover PRs that I've been requested to review, and the Spotify integration is a fun culture boost. I have all my meetings automatically transcribed and summarized with Roam's Magic Minutes, so I never have to think about taking notes in meetings. Finally, I don't have deal with juggling a bunch of different tools, because Roam singlehandedly handles video (and audio) conferencing, chat (including DMs and threaded channels), meeting summarization, screen recording, scheduling links, an AI assistant, etc.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

Because Roam handles so many different features, the depth of functionality on any given feature can be less comprehensive compared to more specialized alternatives (e.g., Roam's Magicast vs. Loom). Still, I find Roam usually covers the 80/20 well for a fraction of the price (given their all-in-one bundle), and the team puts out new features quickly (and listens a lot to customer feedback).

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roam helps our team of about 30 people work together efficiently from several different cities with no physical office. In general, there are pros and cons to remote work. Remote work has many benefits, like being able to hire talent from anywhere, no commute, greater flexibility balancing work with personal responsibilities, travel, etc., and savings on office space. On the other hand, remote work can make it so teams feel less connected and individuals more isolated, and introduces overhead in communication. Roam does a good job of bridging the gap here, bringing more of the benefits of in-office work to the virtual space. This makes it easy to feel like we're getting the best of both worlds in the work-from-home dichotomy, to the extent that's possible. In addition, the virtual office allows for more seamless integration of AI tools, which is an exciting new space to explore.

  ### 9. Revolutionized Our Team's Productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arnav B.

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

I truly appreciate Roam for its ease of use and the frictionless experience it offers in meeting with people. It gives me a sense of control over my day, allowing me to structure my time even when meetings are impromptu, which accelerates my workflow positively. The interactive features are fantastic, providing most of the tools I need, making it an overall positive experience that others also appreciate. I find the state-of-the-art notetaker to be exceptional, summarizing meetings hands-free and creating actionable items seamlessly. The ability to access full transcripts and prompt the AI assistant for tasks offers great flexibility and efficiency. Scheduling, email tasks, and developing insights using the AI tools are incredibly powerful features that I love. The on-demand video rooms and theater-style experiences for large groups provide a unified experience, enhanced with fun elements like emojis. I also value the map feature, offering visibility and insight like never before. It's a comprehensive one-stop shop which consolidates all necessary tools and integrations, fostering productivity and better team culture. The setup process was smooth and intuitive, making it easy to get started quickly, which contributes to the great experience Roam offers. Overall, it’s a game-changing product that I highly recommend.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

I think that maybe the UI is a little lightweight. It is meant to be that way, and you can configure it to suit your brand better, but I do think it could be improved further. It could feel less lightweight.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roam solves remote work challenges by keeping my distributed team connected, reducing meeting times to eight minutes on average, and eliminating the need for multiple tools. It consolidates various features, enhancing productivity and team culture with state-of-the-art AI tools and integrations.

  ### 10. All-in-One Collaboration Powerhouse

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** michael w.

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

I greatly appreciate Roam for its multifunctional capabilities, effectively combining 8 tools into one platform, including AI transcriptions, summaries, and an AI assistant. This all-in-one solution allows me to significantly cut costs, saving money by reducing the need to pay for multiple separate software tools. I especially enjoy the visibility of the floor map, which enhances the collaborative experience and makes remote work feel like an in-office setting with colleagues. The setup process was remarkably seamless, thanks to the supportive Roam team that ensured our transition was smooth and set us up for success right from the start. Furthermore, integrating Roam with my CRM system was straightforward, and replacing other tools like Zoom, Slack, Calendly, Loom, and Otter.ai with Roam has streamlined my daily operations. I couldn't be more satisfied with Roam.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

I think Roam works great overall, but I would like an additional feature that allows me to access my email inbox directly through Roam.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roam makes remote work feel like an office environment, saving money by consolidating multiple tools with AI transcriptions, summaries, and screen recording in one platform.

  ### 11. The Ultimate Virtual Office Solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Howard L.

**Reviewed Date:** October 31, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

I love how Roam has transformed the way we work by allowing us to operate without a physical office. This change means our employees no longer need to commute, and we can hire talent from anywhere in the world, all of which saves us significant operational costs. The ability to run our company without traditional office space truly revolutionizes our work structure. I also really appreciate Roam’s ease of use once it’s set up, making daily activities seamless for me and my team. The feature I find most valuable is the 'magic minutes,' an AI notetaker that provides automatic summaries and transcriptions after each call, contributing efficiently to our company knowledge. The graphical office interface with a floor plan map is outstanding, as it mimics the physical office experience without geographical constraints, enhancing collaboration and presence. It has substantially reduced our average meeting time and improved our company culture by bringing everyone together virtually in a way that feels natural and present. Additionally, Roam replaces a multitude of other apps, providing all necessary functionalities under one platform, which makes our operations much smoother and less fragmented.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

Setting up Roam was a bit of a process, which indicates that the initial setup might be somewhat challenging or time-consuming.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Roam to eliminate the need for a physical office, allowing my team to work globally, reducing commute, and saving on office costs. It integrates multiple functions like video conferencing and AI note-taking, boosting productivity and enhancing our team culture.

  ### 23. Effortless Impromptu Meetings with Unique Virtual Presence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

The fact you can quickly and easily drop-in for impromptu meetings. The virtual presence feature is unlike anything else on the market, natural & convenient without being invasive.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

Honestly? Not that much. The chat takes a bit of getting used to but it works just like any other chat system out there pretty much.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roam is making it possible to collaborate while working remotely. It helps me connect with my teammates & keep track of tasks without being booked back-to-back-to-back in meetings all day.

  ### 24. Full virtual office, but would make you miss Slack

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

Roam is a full virtual office, that I've been using daily for the past few months. It allows you to see who is online, know on the doors (start voice call) and see who is talking to who. Screen share showing other people cursors so people can point at the other screen just by hovering over the screen share (this is really helpful).

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

It takes time to get use to it, because it's not intuitive. Notifications are the worst. A call is just a beep, you missed the beep, you missed the call. There's no pending notifications at the desktop level (at least on Mac's notification center). Screen share layout is not ideal, having a lot of black margins while the actual content looks small in the center. You cannot use pinch zoom (have to Command + Scroll) and there's this awful always on top behavior that you cannot disable so it's terrible to multitask while on a screen share.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Virtual meetings with screen share and collaboration across teams

  ### 25. Love this tool. Makes our decentralized team feel super close

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim G. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

I like how close all of our team members feel thanks to it. Easy to talk to people, all minutes recorded, and much more

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

I would like to see a native clickup integration. Also the mobile app could be a bit more powerful.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making our team feel close even in a decentralized environment. Recording every single meeting.

  ### 26. Roam to Success

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oseremi E. | DJ/ Disk Jockey, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Roam?**

Easy and quick navigation. Great sound and video connectivity.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

I would say the constant updated emails that don’t necessarily have to do with me. But more of the company.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy access to upper management

  ### 27. Best Virtual Office App I Have Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew S. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 07, 2024

**What do you like best about Roam?**

The visual design of the "Office GUI" is a gamechanger for us. It's so easy to see what is happening across teams and stay connected.

The Roam team rolls out new features regularly - the app is practically bursting with them.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

My main annoyance with Roam is managing unread notifications on my phone. Not a dealbreaker at all, but since I use the Magic Minutes AI a lot, I get a lot of notifications when the AI transcriptions are ready and so it always looks like I have a bunch of unread messages.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping our team connected in a better way than Slack, Zoom, Calendly, Otter, etc.

  ### 28. interesting product but have important things to improve

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Facilities Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2024

**What do you like best about Roam?**

- it is easy to contact colleagues in the same floor

- is easy to download, install and get it working, also it doesn't requires much machine resources

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

-the user expierence is complex and intrusive, when you are in a call, another window pops up in full size and it blocks the visuals.

- has issues when screensharing, it often fails

- chats are not clear and not user friendly

- confusing for contacting colleagues in different floors

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

the problem it solves is having a virtual office since this is a remote first company and there are colleagues all over the world, the way it benefits me is that it creates a space where i can interact as if i was in a physical office due its different features

  ### 29. The Difference

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. H. | Owner / COO, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Roam?**

We have used every remote collaboration tool on the market. Teams, Google Meet, WebEx, GoToMeeting, Amazon Chime, Zoom, Slack, Discord, Signal, iMessage & Facetime. Every one of them failed to help us collaborate in a way that mimic a physical office.

Roam is different. Roam chose an interface that invites collaboration both passively and actively. It allows for subtle connection like waving or knocking on your door. It encourages unique configurations for your virtual office. It makes it feel like you're together in a shared space.

It also have all the features you'd want and expect from a modern office took: persisted chat, whiteboarding, media sharing, A/V conferencing, and more.

Roam's advantage isn't technical. You could objectively get each of the capabilities in other platforms. However, the way in which Roam creates the experience is undeniably unique.

Adoption was easy for our wide ranges of ages and personalities in our company. It came down to how Roam made them FEEL. Roam speaks to what people have been missing about in-person work in a way no one else has been able to capture.

Roam also does an incredible job with onboarding. I didn't have any trouble getting folks started because John M. and Brooke G. were so thoughtful and prepared. Just awesome.

In short easy to use, easy to implement, accessible customer support, never down, awesome features and meaningful integrations.

We use this everyday and retired Slack and Google Meet. Paid for itself in the first month.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

My dislikes seem superfluous. My team wishes the "Inbox" was more "Slack-like" and video recordings on meetings were easier to start. We are also first movers and have already seen the incredible pace and advancements coming with each weekly release.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidates our tech stack
Also for more productive interactions
Reduce expenses
Boosted Morale almost immediately

  ### 30. less meetings, better culture and lot more productivity

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you like best about Roam?**

There are so many things we love about Roam, but the best one is that I have far fewer meetings on my calendar, allowing me to focus on the big picture and building the business. Why? Because on Roam, you see everyone, so you can have 5 to 10-minute chats instead of booking and blocking 30 minutes of your time on the calendar. If you are in a meeting and need someone else to join, just invite them into the room. You can also see if they are available and not busy before you invite them. This saves so much time and significantly enhances decision-making.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

i love how fast roam is innovating. nothing to dislike and a lot to like

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

biggest problem solved: too many meetings on the calendar

  ### 31. BEST remote workforce solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 10, 2024

**What do you like best about Roam?**

Being able to visualize my entire company in one dashboard - akin to looking at an office building with a bird's eye view. Reduction of meetings and spontaneously meeting people again (as if we were in office). You have all the pros of remote work, but with the benefits of the serendipity of an in-person culture.

Also - the team is amazing, constantly shipping new features. Seamless ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

Honestly haven't encountered any issues so far.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Roam is bringing the benefits of an in-person office culture to a digital environment, and also help reduce the number of meetings that remote companies typically have.

  ### 32. The virtual office of the future is here

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**What do you like best about Roam?**

The visual interface - the ability to see your team "in the office" is a subtle, but significant difference between Roam and Slack/Teams.

**What do you dislike about Roam?**

It's still early in the product's development. It has a ton of features already though.

**What problems is Roam solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keeping the team connected
