The AI capabilities are where it stands out, specially Aura, which handles the routine work like bank reconciliation, accruals, and flux analysis automatically. The close management tools are also a real differentiator: there's a built-in checklist, automated reconciliations, and prepaid expense tracking that used to require manual effort. What do you dislike about Rillet? Rillet is clearly built for the modern finance stack, and it does that very well. If you're in GovCon and need a DCAA-approved accounting system, that's a specific niche it isn't yet designed for, which is worth knowing if you're in that space. What used to be data entry and manual reconciliation is now handled automatically, which has freed up real capacity to focus on more advanced, higher-value work. Most software vendors treat feature requests as low-priority backlog items, if they track them at all. With Rillet, about 95% of what we've flagged has made it to production, which has genuinely changed how we think about the product relationship. The automations, integrations, and AI capabilities have also let us scale the finance function without adding headcount, so the resources we're not spending on hiring are going back into the business. Starting from implementation the experience was amazing! I've been part of ERP implementation projects that have taken 12+ months, whereas we were live in ~9 weeks. The implementation team was really knowledgeable and took the time to understand our processes and help us design / build the system that would scale with us. We've been able to reduce our timeline to reconcile cash from 5 days to 1 day leveraging cash rules and AI-enabled cash matching automation. This as well as the native subledgers for previously manually tracked prepaids, fixed assets, and deferred revenue, have allowed us to reduce our month-end close timeline from 12-14 business days down to 5-6 business days. Also, the customer support team at Rillet is fantastic! They do a great job of listening to customers, understanding pain points, and offering solutions at an incredible pace. I've worked with other software solutions where it's nearly impossible to get a hold of a support team member, so this was definitely a game-changer. That said, there are a few improvements that could make simple drill-downs or filtering data a bit easier and more intuitive. Since it’s a newer platform, there are definitely areas that can still be refined, but whenever I’ve raised something with our support team, they’ve been great about taking feedback seriously and offering a solution. Rillet is obviously set up to be one of the ERP's of the future. It's out-of-the-box AI capabilities are impressive. Chat can be used to update the GL, make changes to customer records, and pull reports including SaaS reports that would have had to have been done manually in excel before. It has a slick interface and is improving design on a regular basis. It integrates with everything that we use (Salesforce, Rippling, Ramp, etc). Some of its features seem hastily rolled out and like they weren't ready for showtime. At Sphere, we operate across multiple currencies, and finding an ERP that handles that natively (without a stack of manual workarounds) was a big part of why we landed on Rillet. Multi-entity and multi-currency handled natively, with no manual workarounds – that alone put Rillet ahead of everything else we looked at. The flux analysis module surfaces and explains what moved month over month in seconds, work that used to eat hours. The AI being native to the platform is what actually makes a difference day to day. We set up a weekly Aura workflow to handle our aging analyses and send past-due AR emails. That used to be a full morning of work and now it just runs. Identifying month-over-month GL changes used to take half a day just to figure out what moved. Now Aura surfaces it immediately and my time goes toward actually resolving things. We also use the MCP connection for contract amendments, which has sped that process up a lot. The repetitive work that used to take up a meaningful chunk of the week runs automatically. We have a team of three and I don't see that changing as we scale. Rillet absorbs enough of the recurring work that we haven't needed to add headcount. You don't need to be an ERP expert to use it, which matters a lot when you're running lean. Processes that were historically manual, took many hours, and relied on off-book supporting schedules can now be completed within seconds, all within the system and are fully auditable. This has been immensely helpful because of the time it saves my team—my controller and me—as we manage over 200 individual sets of financial statements and multiple lines of business. I used to swear by an FP&A solution that helped me consolidate financials easily, build custom layouts for our financial statements, and do scenario planning. The auto-generated audit trails follow Finanzamt standards exactly—no more manually stitching together evidence folders for tax audits. Standard built-in report templates don’t align with official Finanzamt formatting guidelines at all, so every audit summary needs heavy restructuring in Excel before submission.
