resinOS is an operating system tailored for containers and designed for the unique realities of the embedded world. resinOS supports almost 20 distinct device types, has a robust networking and provisioning story, emphasizes reliability over long periods of operation, and enables a productive developer workflow. We’ve been running resinOS as part of the resin.io platform for years and are now releasing it as an independent operating system, so that others can benefit and contribute to running containers on connected devices.

**What do you like best about resinOS?**

resinOS is best operating System designed commonly for Internet of Things.It is secure and minimal and open-source operating system.It runs on variety of devices like Intel NUC, Raspberry Pi and x86 device.This tool have the primary goal to provide container applications at edge means applications with their dependencies.

**What do you dislike about resinOS?**

resinOS is best oerating system and I have not seen any issue tll now for this product.It provides update request for Remotely connected devices and Developers do not need extra efforts for this.it handles all the Problems very effectively.

**What problems is resinOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

resinOS is best operating system for Applications transfer with their dependencies in secure way and their is no issue comes along the way.And its over the Air feature to provide real time update requirement for Devices connected with it reduces the efforts of Developers very much.

**What do you like best about resinOS?**

resinOS has been on fore front on quick easy setup and configurable startups making it one to standout of rest. Consistent updates backed by balena is a good start

**What do you dislike about resinOS?**

resinOS has one persistent feature - although useful does take a huge load during development. May want this to have a speed up version with multi threaded / tenated solution

**What problems is resinOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Brings a lightweight start quickly - for demos and such frequent sandboxing experience. Helped in rapid prototyping of the solutions, other specific one considered are native ubuntu light weight os needed lot of stripping off the kernel and modules. Where as this comes handy in such rapid modularized tiny shipping sandboxed environment for experiments and development purposes

**What do you like best about resinOS?**

The standout feature for our organization is ResinOS's excellent support for Docker containers. It easily handles multiple IoT devices, a crucial requirement in our trade. The read-only root filesystem is another significant advantage for us. The integrated VPN and OTA updates are also convenient tools to use.

**What do you dislike about resinOS?**

The learning curve here is a bit steeper than other tools. But once the Users get accustomed to the features, it becomes easier to use. Also, customizations have limitations, but that is understandable since the OS is mainly focused on being lightweight and secure.

**What problems is resinOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, the main problem it resolved was the ability to deploy software across multiple types of devices, including but not limited to desktops, mobile phones etc. The security offered by Resin OS helped us get reassured about the software we were deploying. We were skepticle at first, but after a few runs, we knew this was the right tool.

The resinOS is best among the OS and it is open source operating system and it helps in accelarating the thigs and hence for the same i like this thigs about the resinOS

**What do you dislike about resinOS?**

resinOS is much difficult in the setting up which consumes a lot of time.
Apart from that there is nothing much to comment upon as everything else looks fine
waiting

**What problems is resinOS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is easy to merge and connect with the linux server and easy to handle the things.
Also it is easy to integrate and connect with the other device and easy to manage.

resinOS is a simple yet powerful operating system that brings standard Docker containers to embedded devices and works on a wide variety of device types and architectures

**What do you dislike about resinOS?**

Featured update on resinOS  is not stable initially. upgraded for devices with lower storage is a cumbersome task

We are creating the secure IOT devices

**What do you like best about resinOS?**

resinOS is a open source operating system and works on different verieties of system and architecture. It satisfies the needs of modern computing. This is one of the OS developed for containers and build for the embadded world, with yocto, systems, and Docker.

**What do you dislike about resinOS?**

Overall a good option to choose, did not find any complications as a normal user. Also there was a proper updates provided for the feedback given in the resinOS beta 0.1

Application based platform, applicable for Linux users

It is a good choice of host operating system for running embedded device containers. It is intuitive and accessible for users, it is easy to use.

It has many useful features, however, it could be better if some other features that other operating systems have could be added, thus broadening its functionality.

Use the platform according to the instructions for a better user experience.

The problem solved with resinOS is mainly running containers on embedded devices, it functions as a host for this, therefore allowing us to do it without any issues.

Setting up Resin os is bit difficult. Can extend to other embedded device as well.
Waiting
