## Freckle Reviews
  ### 1. A Game-Changer for Personalized Learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

What I like best about Freckle is how effectively it personalizes learning for each student. The platform automatically adapts questions based on individual performance, which ensures students are always challenged at the right level without feeling overwhelmed.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Limited integrations with third-party tools

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freckle helps me manage different student skill levels by automatically adapting content for each learner. It saves time on lesson planning, keeps students engaged with interactive practice, and gives me clear visibility into their progress so I can quickly address learning gaps.

  ### 2. Freckle is great for elementary learners

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kerri Z. | NEMS Special Education Department Chair, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle does a great job of taking students step-by-step to ensure students master necessary skills. For elementary learners, the store where they can buy outfits or accessories for their avatar is a lot of fun.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

We use freckle math in our middle school FAP program. The lessons are great, but the look is very elementary. The look is frustrating for our middle school learners. I would love it if the program had a more age-appropriate interface for older learners

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freckle is incredibly beneficial for our students who are more than three grade levels below their peers. It is a wonderful supplementary support for our students. Freckle can help students get additional math practice, make up for skills that they should have learned (but have not mastered), and introduce new concepts.

  ### 3. My students absolutely love Freckle Math!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lynn C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2024

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I love how students can work at their own level. I also like how I can assign practice to them.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Students can log into other students accounts.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freckle allows students to work at their own pace. Students who need more of a challenge, get challenged. Students who need reinforcement, also get help.

  ### 4. I love Freckle!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shonda H. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle is so user friendly. Everything is organized into sections to support specific standards. When a student does well, they move on. When they do poorly, the computer finds other similar practice questions and takes a lot of my prep time out of tutoring.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I don't like the assignment section. I don't find the problems I assign are always directly correlated to what I am doing in class. It can cause some upset among the students when the assignment and beyond what the standard states.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This platform saves me a ton of plan time when working with students. This is also extremely helpful in helping parents to guide and tutor their children as well.

  ### 5. Practice with Freckle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Denise S. | Elementary Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle is easy for students to use. It has gamification features. It is also easy to use on the teacher's side.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I have only found one skill that is not on Freckle. Counting dollars and coins for k-2 is not a skill to practice.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freckle is helping student practice skills/standards. Freckle can differentiate, so it is a great practice for all levels in the same grade.

  ### 6. Easy Platform for Reviewing Math and Reading

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

My students review their math and reading skills at their own pace. They are engaged by earning coins at the pig store.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

My students performing above grade level can't move up to an appropriate placement without me manually assigning it.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My 23 six year-old students need something educational that they can do independently while I run reading groups. Freckle is one of their stations.

  ### 7. Freckle Math Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Candace B. | Teacher, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle is fun and engaging for the students. There are adaptive and targeted practice activities that tie in with Star Assessments and are on a just-right level for students. Standards are used to tie in easily with curriculum or report card needs. Teachers are able to select questions and amounts of questions for exit tickets and daily assignments Freckle also administers a fun - game-based math facts practice daily where students may earn coins. They love the avatars.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

There are so many options. I hope that we can streamline WHICH to select and focus on in our second year using the program.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Benefits are real-time data and the ability to print work or have students on the computer. I am able to pull small groups for instruction quickly and easily with no prep work required.

  ### 8. Freckle Targets Success

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephania S. | Academic Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle provides meaningful practice for students and is intentional based upon differentiated student needs. I love how lessons are adapted to meet the needs of students but also makes learning fun and empowering!

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

The fluency. I would like for fluency to be intentional and with timed practice in multiple disciplines. I believe in fluency practice and wish we had a better way to assess our students in this area.

**Recommendations to others considering Freckle:**

the webinars are great, take advantage of the resources provided!

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a horrible transition to rostering Freckle classes for our middle school teachers but we are eager to try new ways to improve the process and increase effectiveness.

  ### 9. Easy to adapt to any student

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sharon F. | Teacher; CTE Marketing and Business; Foreign Language: Spanish, Department Chair, Mentor, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like the ability to adapt to the needs of each student. Personalization is a quality that is invaluable. It allows for student engagement and excitement. Freckle is way ahead of the competition and cannot be compared.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I truly cannot think of anything I dislike. I cannot think of anything not realized. Maybe improving graphics is something where space is available for improvement.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Having to modify lessons for each student is extremely time consuming and Freckle solves this issue for me, time after time, allowing me more time to plan other portions of a lesson or class.

  ### 10. Freckle Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren T. | Assistant Principal, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Our district has been using Freckle Math for just at a year. The Special Education math teachers have really enjoyed using it to build student's skills and close some of their gaps. One of my teachers has seen 2+ years of growth from August to December when we progress monitored our students. She really enjoys using the product and says that it is user-friendly and the students enjoy it as well (which is hard to find for high school-aged students).

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

There is not anything that I can report that I do not like at this time.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to start closing some of the foundational gaps that have been seen in their learning. Students are making great progress and are moving forward. They are able to feel success which is very important for our students right now. Some students are approaching grade level and it makes our teachers happy and feel success as well.

  ### 11. Fantastic Freckle

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tiffany B. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 19, 2022

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle allows my students to work at their own pace while focusing on their ability level. Freckle is easy and fun to implement in any classroom.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Currently, I have nothing but praise to offer the program.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I teach First Grade, so my students are acquiring knowledge. We use Freckle 20-30 minutes per day. My students focus on mathematics and ELA skils. The program is so cute and incredibly engaging. My students really look forward to using Freckle and earning their coins ( we call it our GREAT GELT and BRILLIANT BESO (money in Navajo). I've really noticed a significant difference in our mathematics scores since using Freckle. 82% of my students had a 50% increase in their data scores on our recent school wide assessment. I attribute a lot of their success to the daily practice platform on Freckle.

  ### 12. Efficient nad innovative

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jana Z. | E-learning Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Everything seems to be working remotely - no need to commute anywhere for either party.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I have not discovered anything I would not like yet

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping students advance in maths and English and let's educators help them - it brings together two parties of interest

  ### 13. Easy to Use

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Freckle has easy to prep reading articles to use for classroom instruction. Teacher friendly to prep

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I would prefer more articles in a variety of levels available in languages other than English.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time, research based articles

  ### 14. Freckle

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like the adaptive practice as well as the daily lessons and the inquiry lessons for students who need higher level thinking.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Sometimes the inquiry lessons can be a bit too difficult for some students and it does not assign individual lessons to meet students' needs.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been able to give my students individual practice for specific standards to preassess their knowledge or give as a post assessment after teaching a lesson. Students are able to practice facts and continue their knowledge while also participating in higher level lessons.

  ### 15. Differentiated Learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like the way I can assign a specific strand for my class to work on. But I can also let them pick something to practice on and Freckle will differentiate and give them the skills practice they need.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

What I don't like about Freckle is that my students are able to practice kindergarten work, which they will do to get more coins.

**Recommendations to others considering Freckle:**

Freckle is a great way to differentiate learning

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Freckle allows me to individually assign what each student needs to work on.

  ### 16. Freckle

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amber A. | Teacher, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like that you can personalize the lessons for individual students or small groups. I think it is a great tool for distance learning.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Learning all the features can take a while.

**Recommendations to others considering Freckle:**

It is a great resource to add to existing Renaissance products that you already use in your classroom, such as STAR Assessments.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like that I can give students personalized math practice through distance learning.

  ### 17. Math and Reading Practice Made Fun

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

My students love the format of this online practice program. The lessons are quick but fun.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I wish that I could load more assignments each week with the level that my school uses.

**Recommendations to others considering Freckle:**

I suggest showing student how to navigate the site on a smart board before assigning tasks.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This program allows me to differentiate math and reading practice for my students without them knowing that they could all be working on separate skills. I can also assign the same practice to the whole group. I get email reports of their progress.

  ### 18. Freckle Math

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I love the extra independant practice that it provides the students. I also like that the practice is divided up based on the particular skills which make it easy to assign when my students need extra practice on a particular subject.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I just wish there were more questions to assign to my students. It seems like my student cruised right through all the questions.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides the extra Math practice for my student that is presented in a more appealing way than worksheets all the time. I have witnessed the success the students are having with using this program.

  ### 19. Freckle Makes Distance (and Face-to-Face) Learning Easy!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rita P. | Principal, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Ease of use for both students and teachers alike.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Really, there aren't any downsides that I see.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This year, with kids in and out of the classroom due to COVID-related issues, Freckle as allowed us to provide a more seamless math instructional experience for our kiddos. Additionally, because the program is computer adaptive, kids are working on the skills they need to work on.

  ### 20. Don't Have Program, but Definitely Willing to Use

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Education Management | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

Based on what I saw on the 2 videos they have available online, I like how it is very user friendly and students really enjoy the program.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

That I haven't tried the program yet but looking forward to download it.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reading and Math skills. There is also a Social Studies and Science program as well.

  ### 21. Overall great experience for students

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Primary/Secondary Education | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 09, 2020

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

With freckle, students can learn effectively and from the comfort of their computers.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

sometimes it takes too long and there can be technical difficulties. I think they should offer more features where they can play games and compete with students head to head if they are online at the same time. That would make for a more interactive experience.

**Recommendations to others considering Freckle:**

It is especially great for students in times like today because they can complete activities in school or from the comfort of their own home.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With freckle, students are able to learn effectively, track their progress, and compete with their peers all from their computer on their own time. You can attach different subjects to it, like reading and math, so it provides a lot of versitility. By having things like times table cards, fractions, and other fun, game like activities, students can have fun while they learn and hopefully the information will stick for a longer term.

  ### 22. Freckle

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Angela W. | librarian / media specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like that it has several objectives and moves at the student' pace.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I wish you could assign only specific objectives at the time you want to.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps students practice on objectives and they move at their own pace.

  ### 23. Great Tool for Virtual Learning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lisa S. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 11, 2020

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like that I can assign lessons through Google Classroom.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

Some of the activities I would use are only available with the premium. For instance, the library would be very useful for my position in Title 1 Reading, but we cannot afford anything extra this year.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am able to assign lessons to students who have to be homeschooled because they are quarantined.

  ### 24. Engaging

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I wish that this program had more options within the free version.

This is a great intervention piece for my virtual students. They can work on both reading and math, in a fun, engaging way!

  ### 25. Great Education App

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas S. | Teacher, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 01, 2019

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like that Freckle provides the ability for you to pretest your students to determine their specific reading levels.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I would like it if you could have the pretests taken prior to allowing users to schedule assignments for students.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have found that freckle allows me to assess and instruct my students in a very user friendly manner. I have found another online source that provides me with instruction material.

**Reviewed by:** Sarah S. | Teacher, Primary/Secondary Education, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 15, 2018

**What do you like best about Freckle?**

I like that practice is adaptive and students progress at their own pace. I also like that my students willingly use Freckle.

**What do you dislike about Freckle?**

I think that kids are allowed to earn too much game time. I worry that it supersedes learning.

**Recommendations to others considering Freckle:**

Students like this more than Moby Max and IXL.

**What problems is Freckle solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Student engagement is the primary benefit; they practice skills without being nagged.
