"Easy for Basics, But Confusing Sprint Tracking/Adequate Reporting Make It a Poor Substitute For Jira"

What do you like best about Redmine?

It is a useful tool if you have very limited reporting and task management requirements. Its UI is fairly easy to learn and you can get the basics done very quickly Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Redmine?

Once you get past simple reporting and tracking, its usefulness falls off quickly. Its Agile sprint tracking interface is confusing and not nearly as good as its competitors. The basic reporting it offers is barely adequate, and unless you have the time to code your own enhancements, not very useful for sizable tasks. We ended up switching to Jira even with the cost difference, as it more than filled in the gaps that Redmine left Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
