## reap Reviews
  ### 1. Powerful API and Simple UI for Fast, Multilingual Video Clipping.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Qasim Z. | Product Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

The best thing is the API that allowed us to automate our ads workflow. We are now expanding into using it to clip our webinars to distribute them in different languages for customer education across different regions and platforms.

It's an all in one suite to clip, add captions, edit, schedule, do it in multiple languages.

The UI is simple to get things done without showing any complex screens.

Its affordable as well and the speed to clip the videos is also better than other platforms.

Support is always very responsive and quick to solve any issue.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

I faced only a few bugs and it was sometimes difficult to find exports but their new clipping view page has made that better as well.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap is only clipping platform that offers 360 degree coverage. API, MCP, CLI provided has made it even more easier to use it using tools like Codex. Dub allowed us to record creative once and then the product itself dubs and translate into multiple languages, allowing us to expand into different geographic markets in ads.

  ### 2. A practical AI Video Clipping/Editing tool for turning product and business content into short clips

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nadeem A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

What I like best about reap is that it helps turn long-form content and business material into short, usable video assets much faster. For a company like Pursue Today, which positions itself around building products, software solutions, and teams for modern businesses, that is useful because it can help repurpose demos, founder messages, interviews, or product explainers into more shareable content without a heavy editing workflow. Pursue Today describes itself as building products, software solutions, and teams to help businesses succeed.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

The biggest opportunity is in the clip management and review experience. As more clips are generated, the interface could do a better job helping users quickly organize, preview, filter, and manage outputs at scale. A more refined workflow for reviewing and handling multiple clips would make the overall experience even stronger.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap solves the problem of turning one piece of long-form content into multiple short-form assets efficiently. For Pursue Today, that is beneficial because the company offers software and development services, which usually means there is a steady need for product communication, demos, social content, and customer-facing explainers. Instead of producing each asset manually, reap helps reduce editing time and makes distribution easier across multiple channels. Pursue Today highlights software solutions, technological tools, and services such as frontend and mobile development, which makes content repurposing a practical fit.

  ### 3. API-First Clipping That Automates Ads and Scales Localization

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mahad A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

Reap is the only API, MCP, and CLI-first clipping platform I’ve found that offers true 360-degree coverage. We can clip, dub, and translate captions, which let us record creative once and expand into different geographic markets through localized ads.
The best part is the API. It allowed us to fully automate our ads workflow, which was previously a manual bottleneck. We’re now expanding our use of Reap to clip our webinars and distribute them in different languages for customer education across regions.
Customer support deserves a special mention. It’s actual human support, not a chatbot loop, and the team has been responsive and helpful every time we’ve reached out. They’ve been promising improvements to the platform and I’m looking forward to seeing them roll out.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

The clip preview page UX needs more organization tools. It gets confusing when you’re working through a batch. Project management within the platform also needs work, especially when you’re juggling multiple campaigns and podcasts at once. There isn’t a clean way to keep everything separated and organized.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap solves two problems for us. First, it removes the cost and time of producing separate creative for each market by letting us dub and translate one master asset into multiple languages. Second, the API lets us automate clipping and distribution at scale, which means our ads and customer education workflows run without manual intervention.

  ### 4. Effortless Editing with Enhanced Scene Detection

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dalibor J. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 26, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

I like that Reap automatically edits videos and gives me suggestions of finished videos. The editor is very easy and simple to use. I appreciate the improved face detection and scene recognition, which correctly positions scenes from long videos into short video formats. The setup is just plug and play; I just give it the URL, and it does the job.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

Honestly, last time I tried it, it was a bit clunky. It didn't detect the scenes properly, and I had to do a lot of manual adjustments. This has been much much improved. The only other limitation is the YouTube API, so I have to upload videos manually if I want to connect shorts to the long form video. That is a YouTube limitation, not Reap.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap suggests good moments from long videos for short ones, does all editing automatically, and gives suggestions of finished videos. It's much better now with face detection and scene recognition, reducing manual adjustments.

  ### 5. Reap Makes Multilingual Short-Form Clipping Seamless

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Basirat A. | Technical Sales Associate , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

I’m an active user of Reap, and when it comes to clipping long videos into short-form formats, it really outperforms itself. It can do this in 98+ languages, which is a plus for localization. I recently tried testing its CLI capabilities: basically using Reap’s skills in my Claude code: and it worked pretty seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

When I’m waiting for a video to upload and the generate page is loading, the UI on that page should be improved. It would also help to add product tutorials or short guided tours so users know what to do while they wait.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most comprehensive problem it solves is clipping long-form videos, and not just that: it also lets me edit them directly in the browser, which is outstanding in itself.

  ### 6. High-quality AI video workflows with better limits and strong automation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Annie T. | Creative Designer, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

What I like best about reap is that it gives us significantly higher limits than most products in a similar pricing range, while still delivering better clip quality and stronger output consistency. A lot of other platforms feel constrained, almost like they are being overly conservative with processing and output quality, but reap feels much more capable. It is also one of the few true all-in-one solutions for agencies because it lets us caption, translate, and dub content at scale. That is a major advantage for client work across different regions and languages. On top of that, reap supports API and MCP, which helps us automate a large part of our workflow. That combination of quality, scale, multilingual support, and automation is what makes the product stand out.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

The biggest area for improvement is the clipping page and overall project management experience. When managing a high volume of clips, the workflow can feel a bit too basic. It would be much better to have stronger organization features such as folders, better categorization for client projects, and more ways to sort, group, and manage clips once a large batch has been generated. For example, when there are 30 to 40 clips in a project, it should be easier to organize them by status, usage, or client needs. The team has shared that improvements are coming, so I am watching that closely, but outside of this area, the product works extremely well.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap solves a major operational problem for us by giving us one platform where we can create, caption, translate, dub, and automate video workflows for clients. That has made it much easier for us to serve multilingual audiences and expand the type of services we can offer as an agency. Instead of stitching together several tools, we can handle more of the workflow in one place and automate repetitive tasks through API and MCP. That has helped us move faster, support more languages, improve delivery for clients, and ultimately grow the business.

  ### 7. “A simple and reliable way to repurpose long-form videos into Shorts”

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amjid Y. | Strength And Conditioning Coach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

What I like most about Reap is how clean and practical the workflow is for repurposing long-form videos into Shorts. It saves time without overcomplicating the process. The clip library is especially useful because nothing is lost — clips can be reused, scheduled later, and managed across multiple channels. It fits perfectly into a batching strategy and helps maintain consistent posting without daily manual work.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

There aren’t any major downsides for my use case. Like most SaaS tools, there’s always room for gradual feature improvements, but the core functionality works as expected. I’d rather have a stable, focused tool than one overloaded with unnecessary features.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap solves the problem of time-consuming content repurposing. Instead of manually clipping and formatting videos for multiple platforms, I can quickly create Shorts from long-form content and schedule them efficiently. This has helped me stay consistent across YouTube, TikTok, and Reels while focusing more on strategy and content creation rather than editing.

  ### 8. Empowers Video Editing with Helpful Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria K. | Certified Facilitator and Executive Coach for Cross‑Cultural Organizations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about reap?**

I like the human support from the helpdesk with Reap, and I find the initial setup easy.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

I find the UX, especially the names of the buttons, a bit confusing. For instance, the button labeled 'edit' should be 'save'.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Reap video provides short clips, which is really helpful.

  ### 9. reap is the GAME-CHANGER

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Martin E. | Marketing Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2025

**What do you like best about reap?**

Reap is an incredibly efficient tool for editing videos and creating social-ready clips. Its AI-powered features, like text-based editing and automatic captioning, save me hours of work and deliver great results. I particularly love the flexibility it offers to customize captions with branding and adjust styles. Additionally, Reap is user-friendly and easy to navigate, even for beginners. The customer support team is exceptional .. e.g. Usama resolved my feature request in just two days and continuously roll out updates based on user feedback. These factors make Reap a standout video editing platform, especially for producing short-form content for Instagram and YouTube Shorts seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

The editor needs a bit polishing. However, they are improving it each and every day.. got a word from Usama (CEO). Hence 5* for this one from me!

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Video captioning..

  ### 10. Generate clips on 1 click :)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David K. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2025

**What do you like best about reap?**

It's very simple to use. You just copy and paste ANY YouTube video into Reap and it generates clips within a few minutes. I tried personally a long video like 40 min. and it gave me all clips I needed within 10 min. Not bad. I tried different similar tools it took them almost 2 days. Horrible. Reap does the job perfectly well and quite fast.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

I would love to see more integrations. for now just YouTube but I need to post clips on other social platforms like Tik Tok, Fb, IG and of course, Reals are the most important at the moment. Also I'm missing public API and webhook which would help us to scale our clips generation.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reap helps us to generate clips from a long form video. It does the job perfectly well and it saves us a lot of time. Before Reap we used Adobe but for some people in our team it was so advanced. We needed a little app that generates clips, add some nice looking subtitles and that's it and Reap does it. we use Reap along with other tools for paid campaigns and social platform posting. So happy with it :)

  ### 11. Quality product today, long term potential

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriel K. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 13, 2025

**What do you like best about reap?**

text editor, and the ability to direct what Ai to focus on. I use it daily.

**What do you dislike about reap?**

a handful of bugs. Customer team is on it and responsive, which is helpful.

**What problems is reap solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use to create clips by hand in FCPX. It literally would take 10-20 hours. No joke. But now the ai does it - and if you direct the Ai, it's 90% there. Really impressive!
