"Time Management with Strong Scheduling and Reporting"
4/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Time?

I like that it offers a lot of features that can be used to manage employee time in a variety of ways. The scheduling capabilities are strong, and the reporting tools are also very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Time?

I dislike that, when I’m building the schedule, I have to select each employee individually instead of being able to add a group. I also dislike that contractors now automatically sync as users to Time when you track 1099 payments in QuickBooks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All-in-One Time Tracking, Payroll Sync, and Real-Time GPS Monitoring"
4/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Time?

What stands out most about QuickBooks Time is how seamlessly it connects time tracking with payroll and accounting, eliminating duplicate work and reducing errors. It offers accurate, real-time tracking with GPS support, a strong mobile app for teams on the go, and useful reporting for labor costs and productivity. On top of that, it’s generally easy to use and includes scheduling and PTO tools, making it a solid all-in-one solution for managing employees and projects efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Time?

The main downsides people point out about QuickBooks Time tend to revolve around cost, flexibility, and some technical frustrations. It’s often considered expensive, especially since you may need both a QuickBooks subscription and per-user fees. Users also mention limited customization, meaning it doesn’t always adapt well to unique workflows. On the technical side, there can be bugs, mobile app glitches, and occasional clock-in issues, which can disrupt tracking. Customer support gets mixed reviews, with some reporting slow or unhelpful responses. Finally, compared to newer tools, parts of the interface can feel a bit outdated or lacking advanced features, especially for larger or more complex teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Time?

I can't say that there is anything I dislike about it. We just recently started to use it, so our organization is still working on getting our handle on stuff. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy Time-Off Management but Needs Better Payroll Automation"
3.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Time?

I really liked that QuickBooks Time made it easy for employees to request time off online, and for us to approve or decline it. This process was straightforward, and once we approved a request, it would automatically pop into QuickBooks Time. It helped ensure we never forgot about an employee's time off, as it was clearly marked as approved or denied. It also recorded how many times employees took off, making it easy to check if someone was over or under the limit. Additionally, the setup was very easy since we were already using QuickBooks Online, so transferring all employees and syncing everything was a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Time?

I don't like that QuickBooks Time does not automatically tally up the hours from a specific pay period, so we had to enter the daily amount of hours into a program when payroll hit and then add it up to actually pay the employees. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Solid Time Tracking with Minor Compatibility Issues"
3.5/5
What do you like best about QuickBooks Time?

I really appreciate QuickBooks Time for its efficiency in tracking employees' absences and time ins. This feature is incredibly beneficial for keeping accurate records and simplifies the process when payroll is processed, ensuring that everything is easy to record and verify. The system provides a straightforward way to manage and organize employee time-related data, which helps in streamlining operations. Additionally, I find the initial setup to be pretty easy, making the software accessible and user-friendly from the start. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about QuickBooks Time?

I find that QuickBooks Time sometimes has issues with clocking in and out because it isn't always compatible with the physical terminal. Additionally, the system occasionally calculates incorrect accruals for PTO and sick days. It seems unable to manage different accrual rules concurrently, which leads to inaccuracies, especially around employee anniversaries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
