I mainly used QR.io to create QR codes for website links, product pages, and digital documents that I needed to share with clients. The interface is straightforward, so I didn't have to spend much time figuring things out. I also liked that I could customize the QR code with colors and a logo, and downloading it in different formats made it easy to use in both print and digital designs. I love this platform for its user friendly layout and efficiency in creating QR code really fast. I love the ability of this platform to create design and save it in the templates folder. I love the capability of this platform to save the file of the QR code in multiple formats. I love the capability of this platform to bulk create the QR code by just uploading the CSV file. Files and information can be conveniently shared with QR code by using this platform. It makes the user to even conveniently receive feedback, send coupons etc. The platform have a user friendly interface and the performance of this platform is also good. The onboarding of this platform was easy and secured. The analytics of this platform allows user to track the activities of the QR code by user which provides information for further decision making. I tried to create 2 simple static codes for a campaign, only to be told they were 'dynamic' and that the free trial had ended unless I paid a significant monthly/ one off fee. My QR codes no longer work despite them advertising 'free forever'. WATCH OUT when you are creating codes, the website tricks you into creating premium 'dynamic' codes when you think you are creating free 'static' codes. It is an appalling user experience. These costs are not transparently shown. Customer service is disappointing, as they only reply once and then never get back to you, even after several emails. It seems like a scam to me. What problems is QR.io solving and how is that benefiting you? QR.io offers an easy way to make QR codes, but it’s a cleverly disguised scam for extorting money once you’ve created your code. They rely on people not paying close attention in order to make money off monthly subscriptions. I didn’t even realize they were charging me $35 monthly for a QR code that expired. They are happy to take your money but send zero invoices or communication, so there is no paper trail. Then they lock you out of your account so you can’t even change billing info or subscription status.
