The standard reporting is also somewhat weak. **Recommendations to others considering QorusDocs:** Be prepared with your content. Do some pre-planning and inventorying as this is definitely the most difficult part of the process. Also, make sure you're aware of how many users you will have and how a system with licenses may change the way you work. **What problems is QorusDocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** We have not yet rolled Qorus out to our whole department. We were looking for a way to better track and manage the number of proposals going out the door and create more accountability for our professionals. We've worked hard on our content library to make it accessible and easy to manage for reviews and adding in new content - a lesson learned was not to load up too much information initially and start with core documents only and then expand as the user experience is developed and understood. **What do you dislike about QorusDocs?** I'm not sure I have any real dislikes apart from email alerts (part of the issue being we loaded too much content initially). This has been resolved. **Recommendations to others considering QorusDocs:** The initial set up of your content library needs careful mapping out as to who will be reviewing documents as they age Make sure that you launch the product with supported training - the Qorus LMS training is good, but you need your own companies spin on how you want to use it Don't load too much content initially as this may create a large return from searches that are not (at first view) easy to navigate Have a content manager assigned for best practise in loading new content **What problems is QorusDocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** We run large and complex bids, requiring solutions designs, legal, commercial, operational, IT, project services content to be written - quite often these SMEs are not in the same office, or continent. The benefits have been: Production of final drafts quicker Multi-review capability in the live document Ability to produce higher quality responses and ability to bid on more opportunities as the teams are able to be more productive ### 12. We reached out to the sales team at Qorus who were very responsive; allowing us to test the product’s features. Once we made our decision, we had a Qorus implementer working directly with us to understand our needs and bring forth recommendations of the product’s capabilities to meet those needs. The Qorus team has been very flexible with adjusting the implementation schedule to balance our existing workload. Our staff is most pleased with the simplicity of their user interface. Then it's a Breeze ; ) The ease of use and user interface is what I like best. Everything feels like it belongs, not like a bunch of spare parts tacked on to Word. **What do you dislike about QorusDocs?** Word. Any frustrations you have with Word won't go away. You may find yourself more familiar with Word, and especially styles, once you have everything set up, so that's a positive way to look at it. A lot of the frustration with Word comes from lack of understanding of how more in-depth features work. Most users use direct formatting and have never set up a template, let alone try to automate something with additional plug-ins and features from a vendor. **Recommendations to others considering QorusDocs:** Make sure you fully understand styles, formatting, fields, etc. All of the formatting quirks with Word don't magically go away with Qorus, so understanding which style/formatting issues cause frustrations for your team will make your transition much easier. **What problems is QorusDocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** Team collaboration. The system is very streamlined based on its intended design. However, for those who fall outside the intended design, it may be difficult for you to manage the content as you please. **Recommendations to others considering QorusDocs:** I work as the lone administrator of the solution with a team of 6 other proposal writers. The solution is set up so that each content entry is assigned a SME through a license. However, our org isn't configured to provide licenses to every SME (I reach out to them individually to get feedback needed). Because the review process starts and ends with me, we didn't quite fit with the streamlined process built by Qorus; therefore, they had to configure the system to how we work (a big plus), but it still requires additional and unnecessary steps from an admin standpoint. **What problems is QorusDocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** As a content management database, it does it's job well. I see even more benefit as a publishing and organizational tool across multiple teams. Our team mostly uses it as a content database for stored question and answer pairs. ### 15. There are always issues with every implementation, but I think the most important is making sure you have a proposal management and proposal content storage strategy in place when deciding on a proposal management software, so you choose the software that will fit the needs of your organisation. It sounds simple but can be a tricky process. For example, are you issuing out short proposals via a sales team every week or complex, large scale proposals via a dedicated bid team? How you write the proposal, the solution, pricing, store and reuse content etc. will all be affected by the nature of your proposal process and the software must complement this process. There are the usual quirks in MS Word that have to be resolved, however the knowledge source works well for managing content storage, retrieval, suggestion and provides an efficient review process. Project point delivers the proposal production workflow and this allows for you to set up tailored document templates, task allocation, workflow management and content searches directly from the knowledge source. **What do you dislike about QorusDocs?** Compatibility issues with MS Word and your organisations own systems may also have to be monitored and resolved during implementation, but I would assume these could occur with any software. There can be delays in workflow as the system updates. **Recommendations to others considering QorusDocs:** It is a reasonably flexible system so you can build it to suite your organisation. Make sure you allow time for implementation, system testing, training users etc. It is user friendly but time spent up front will make sure you get the best out of the system. The helpdesk are very helpful and this is such a benefit. Don't underestimate the value of this when considering any software as there are always issues that need to be resolved. **What problems is QorusDocs solving and how is that benefiting you?** The delivery of a dedicated proposal content library structured for the organisation, with easy search facility and proposal management workflow. ### 16. This is frustrating because it will happen to random responses, meaning that I will then have to log in to the online version to pull the information. **Recommendations to others considering QorusDocs:** I love it. We consider it our RFP version of Google.
