Well established spreadsheet app has dozens of built-in formulas naturally but qalcwise is developing dynamically so I hope new functionalities will be added gradually. **Recommendations to others considering Qalcwise:** Go for a trial and ask for the intro session which will give you an orientation. It gives you the opportunity to build every logical business process. The flexibility of the forms created and the ability to create a workflow for them, is a huge advantage. As in Excel, the application uses functions that seem to be more useful here. The dedicated platform explains in an accessible way what these functions are for and how to use them. When creating new applications, the platform also gives the opportunity to re-use once created database, thus reducing the time needed to create another application.   This platform is ideal for creative people who are not programmers. In order to be able to start working on your own application, you do not need to be able to write codes, you only need to know MS Excel at the basic level. Being able to model processes that you can't model with other tools besides custom coding and developments. Spreadsheets + data base + workflow and you all all set. **What do you dislike about Qalcwise?** Sometimes on-prem deployment version. Maybe dedicated mobile app. R&D of the product is quick thus new features come to play very often... so I can't put here something that would be irrelevant a week from now. **Recommendations to others considering Qalcwise:** Review your time consuming manual processes and pick one to model it QV. Then use it for some time to see the benefits. **What problems is Qalcwise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Time savings with day to day tasks. I just got rid of these little things you MUST do but HATE to do as they have nothing to do with your productivity. QV will do it for me. More time = priceless. I find the essence familiar but simultaneously I'm pleasantly surprised by its features and UI. I must also admit that they really care about their users - support team is amazingly committed. **What do you dislike about Qalcwise?** The number of prebuilt apps on the marketplace could be much larger. Creating apps seems easy so I have no idea what's the problem with publishing finished apps so that everyone could get and customize them. Even if developing doesn't require much effort customizing is always easier ;) **What problems is Qalcwise solving and how is that benefiting you?** Qalwise helps me provide my customers with perfectly tailored solutions ### 10. Workflows can be drafted in very reasonable time and final solution can be derived basing on operating prototypes. Pricing model allows to try it out for free for up to 5 users. Anyone can try to build own apps or download some free ones from marketplace. **What do you dislike about Qalcwise?** Documentation open to the users and partners could be more extensive and more often updated. Especially as the tool is constantly improved and new features are added frequently. **What problems is Qalcwise solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of my customers uses purchase orders flow and flow for registering invoices. Early versions of both apps were delivered within couple days, taking into account my learning curve. Additionally I have devised applications for HR competency 180 assessment, work time control and company assets tracking. ### 11. This is not a big drawback and I hope that with the development will appear there soon. Continuous development of Qalcwise requires additional training. **Recommendations to others considering Qalcwise:** Try the demo version and arrange a short training. It can be the first-choice tool for every office worker on earth. Of course, it needs a lot of improvements, but the good news is that almost everything can be easily changed. Users are heavily involved in the constant process of elevating platform to the next level, you may therefore say it's "open-source" in some way. A no-code way **What do you dislike about Qalcwise?** Qalcwise offers its users a very useful suite of apps helping with everyday office routine (time tracking, travels, expenses, holiday requests and so on), what it lacks though are the more specialized apps that would be dedicated to specific industries or departments. I hope that it's a matter of time for them to appear in the marketplace. I must say qalcwise surprised me. What I like the most, is actually, that it’s not another form builder or process designer or database. Using spreadsheet-like widgets and ‘casual’ formulas makes it feel like at home. Formulas are almost the same as those in Excel or GS. Showing / hiding sections based on ‘if’ formula is also a cool thing. Using lookup formula to pull data from database table is also useful. Performance is not bad. **What do you dislike about Qalcwise?** Tutorials, tutorials, tutorials. It's not Excel and DOES require learning. So, guys get to work. Give people TUTORIALS! You have a great product but without learning materials people will not be able to use it. **Recommendations to others considering Qalcwise:** You will need to learn it. It looks easy, almost a toy like, but there is plenty of functionality wich is not obvious, almost hidden. You can build really complex apps once you get familiar with working with data. If they don't have tutorials, ask them for training. **What problems is Qalcwise solving and how is that benefiting you?** We created a Service Desk app that involves our support team and Customer. Because our Customer is a public Institution we had to deliver a heavily customised ticketing and Change Managment system.
