While it often offers to choose where to apply your settings when they could differ from node to node, the interface could use more progress indicators to indicate when it is switching over to another node or when it has fully switched over. Otherwise you have to pay close attention to the interface to know when it does refresh. The reporting is great and it is easy to searcht he logs for delivery problems. One of my favorite features though is the TRAP/CLEAR functionality. Users can submit suspect emails for anylsis and any email deemed threating will automatically be quarantined across the entire Exchange environment. In addition email retrospectivly deemed threating will also be auto qurantied from all user mailboxes across the environement. This saves a ton of time on clearing up any threat that has post delivery content or was missed initially. **What do you dislike about Proofpoint Core Email Protection?** My one chief complaint is that the managment protals for the varios componenets are seprerated and not under s single UI. It would be super handy if all of the configuration, anlysis, and reporting wereunder a single UI. **What problems is Proofpoint Core Email Protection solving and how is that benefiting you?** We employ ProofPoint primarily as an SMTP security gateway. We use it for filtering SPAM and bulk email but really lean on it for detecting and removing malicious email, malware and phish emails. ### 12. We were able to turn up the service in under a day when we originally started working with Proofpoint. Additional services were short engagements to enable, and they're off to the races. I can create block and safe lists as well as being able to relax or increase the spam and bulk scores for various legitmate senders, to avoid them being blocked. For the Service Desk, the ease of use for the average user is very good. We use the POD a lot and we rarely have complaints. **What do you dislike about Proofpoint Core Email Protection?** It can be slow to apply changes, at times. Even though we have been promised that this would be fixed we still experience this issue.Support can be slow to respond at the weekend. Our email has been reduced by around 40% simply by tightening up our SPAM and Bulk email capabilities. My team is in Proofpoint daily handling requests, quarantines and other actions. It has automated their workload and reduced the number of hours they spend processing email security greatly. I cannot wait to get the CASB product in place with our DLP. So far the implementation has gone very well. We also felt confident that our protection was improving after taking time to run a POC where we saw several malicious emails get past our former vendor and land in inboxes and get placed in their on-hold queue. **What do you dislike about Proofpoint Core Email Protection?** The only change we're hoping they complete soon is improving the Admin portals. We're having to access a few different panels to gain full access to the service. They are working on that and know the process could be improved.
