It is very easy to use and gives a lot of flexibility. I have fallen in love with the framework as a developer, and I only have good things to say about the employees that work there—more importantly, Nayden Mutafov. He really went above and beyond to help me. We are not even in the same time zone, but he was always happy to assist. This really means a lot to me and my colleagues, and even more to the app. I have never had a problem integrating this into our system. We use Kendo in all of our apps. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?** The one issue I have with Kendo is that it is hefty, but in their defense, they did break it up so that you can choose what you are using and only load the features that are needed. This really changed a big negative into a not-so-bad negative. **What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?** it has a tree like menu that is very importent to our business and they are one of the only frameworks that give us that feature. they also have great tables. Point being this. the app allows fast feature creation with flexible ways of using the feature you get. this means you can spend less time on making a nice UI and spend more time creating the back-end ### 14. They make developers more productive and enable them to deliver a higher quality product. We are trying to reduce the number of dependancies in our software for security reasons and having a large set of trusted controls goes a long way in that effort. Telerik also developed their controls the right way from the beginning as native Blazor controls and not a ported JavaScript library. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?** Because they developed their Blazor controls as native Blazor controls from the beginning, not all the controls were available right away. We were able to work with this and the last required control (the spreadsheet control) will be delivered in about 9 days from now. All the rest of the controls are just icing on the cake now and make our apps look and work better with less developer time. In the one case where I had an annoying technical issue and the online documentation didn't give me the answer, a Telerik engineer helped me figure out what to do -- and afterwards, Telerik improved their online documentation, per my suggestion. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?** Installation of Telerik UI for Blazor was annoying complex, but most of the competitors I tried were much worse. **What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?** We want features in our Blazor UI that Microsoft doesn't provide--like, say, table filters--and we don't want to build everything ourselves. Telerik provides a lot out of the box. Telerik UI for Blazor is well documented and fairly easy to customize. For example, I noticed that for a TelerikGrid with the Hierarchy feature, whenever you refresh the grid's data, any rows that were expanded will collapse again. I wanted those rows to remain open during live data updates -- and Telerik's documentation is good enough that I was able to tweak the grid's behavior to get what I wanted. ### 33. This has allowed us to massively accelerate our UI development to provide consistent experience, and eliminated boiler-plate code that goes into common functions such as filtering, paging, column ordering. The Tree drop down control shows hierarchical data and provides a built-in search function. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?** There are some down-sides, which if you are doing something that is outside the examples provided by Telerik on the demo site, then the documentation is a little lacking as it doesn't always explain what is happening behind the scenes on the controls, and why you need to set a particular property, or request data from a particular function. We have also had issues using the Report viewer for Telerik due to intranet restrictions even with having a local to the network content delivery applet. **What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?** The greatest business problem being solved is the speed at which data is being served up to the user in the User Interface. The use of the Telerik controls, once we mastered the controls learning curve has cut our UI development time in half. ### 36. You'll get a response within a couple days, less if you submit a ticket after midnight. I've submitted tickets around 1:00 am and received a response the same day (Support is on the other side of the world). The product is stable. I've had few bug reports. **What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?** Telerik's documentation library is abysmal. But not because it's lacking content. Rather because it's lacking organization and a competent search engine. It's so bad that I stopped looking for information in it and, instead, just began generating Support tickets. The Support people either know where everything is or they know the answer off the top of their heads. Also, I found myself fighting their technology to get it to work, It can be difficult to work with. I think it lacks a productive degree of intuition which then either steers me to the document library or to Support. In either case, I've burned a lot of time. If you have tight deadlines, you are putting yourself at risk with Telerik. **What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?** I need to express complex datasets onscreen. Telerik's suite of controls helps display a lot of information compactly and efficiently. Tabs, charts, grids, multi-function list controls, etc. help with that. ### 37. Although the documentation and support is great, we have come across issues that we have struggled to resolve.
