"Strong and versatile reporting tool, with some shortcomings"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Telerik Reporting abstracts away pdf management and offers many options for report generation and rendering. They're also quick to respond to questions through their support portal and offer useful assistance. I recommend using the standalone designer tool over the visual studio integration option as it's a lot less buggy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Setup for Reporting can be cumbersome and feels a bit too complicated, especially designing reports by linking them to classes in assemblies, and setting up the ReportsController to work as required. While it can work out of the box by following default settings, if something doesn't work, it can be hard to pinpoint what's wrong. Fortunately Telerik Support is generally handy for cases like that. Reporting items for tables need a bit more documentation on how chaining items inside works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good Set of ASP.Net Ajax Controls"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

For those that need a better set of controls than the out of the box Visual Studio ASP.Net Ajax controls, the Telerik controls provide a mature and consistent set of controls that perform well in production and consumer facing web applications.

The controls are easy to implement and in some cases can be directly swapped for the equivalent Visual Studio controls. This allows for ease of integration when converting from older web controls.

I've used more advanced features and had my share of interesting things that I didn't understand when trying to get controls to do what I want. In these cases, I've created support tickets as part of my subscription and found them to be tremendously insightful and helpful. They somehow seem to be able to read our minds in some cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Some of the things I dislike about the ASP.Net Ajax controls are:

The lack of a full-fledged style manager. Telerik as some basic style manager features that can be loaded in but it is quite limited compared to their other products.

Poor documentation quality. While this has improved over the years, the javascript api is quite limited to the point of just being a list of methods without any context in how to use the properties and methods in more complex cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A good components suite"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

What I really appreciate about Progress Telerik is how much easier it makes my daily work as a developer. Their tools—especially the UI components—are intuitive and save me a ton of time when building more complex applications. I also like how smoothly everything integrates across different frameworks, which helps me stay focused on the actual development rather than dealing with compatibility issues. The documentation is clear and helpful, and when I’ve had to reach out to their support team, they’ve always been quick and spot-on with their answers. All in all, it’s a solid toolkit that I’ve come to rely on, and it keeps getting better with each update. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

There isn’t much I’d really call a downside with Progress Telerik, but if I had to mention something, it would be the cost—especially for freelancers or small businesses. The tools are excellent, no doubt about it, but the pricing can be a bit of a stretch if you're working with a tighter budget. Also, a few of the more advanced features can take some time to get the hang of, especially if you’re new to the ecosystem. That said, once you’re up and running, the overall value and the quality of support do make it feel like money well spent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Working on telerik ui for blazor since 2 years"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

The documentation covers all the details that are needed for you to use progress telerik in your project. Not just this, with an inline editor in the document that helps you to write your code and understand how the component works in your project. Also, when I raise a support ticket the team usually responds with in 24hours. That’s a wow… Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Like I mentioned above, document has all the details, some times it takes time to search and find what you are specifically looking for. I know you can use the top search bar. When you hit this, even the search results are huge. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Almost Perfect with some minor issues"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

-> Completeness (Breadth and Depth or coverage) of the product. e.g. multiple Designer options like a PC-based exe and also a web-based solution.

-> No major/minor bugs

-> Integrating into the current project is simple.

-> Tech support even for the Trial is excellent. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Some irritants and minor bugs e.g.

1. If I add->Delete->Re-add the web-based designer or web viewer in my project then in Program.cs the line app.UseTelerikReporting(); is added multiple times. This causes a crash. So while adding this line a check for presence of the line in Program.cs is necessary

2. If I want to add a line in my report then I have to click on "Shapes" then I get an ellipse then change the Type of Shape to a Line and then adjust the Height. This is a very long process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Reliable development toolkit that saves tons of coding time!"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Telerik makes front end and UI development much faster. The pre built components look modern and professional, so I don’t have to spend hours styling or debugging small things. The integration with .NET and Visual Studio is smooth and stable, which really speeds up project delivery. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Some updates break older projects or need a few tweaks to work again. The documentation could be a bit clearer in places, especially when using newer components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding UI Components with Telerik's RadGrid and RadMultiColumnComboBox"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

Telerik continues to set the standard for high-performance UI controls, and RadGrid and RadMultiColumnComboBox are prime examples of why developers consistently trust their tools.

RadGrid: Feature-Rich and Incredibly Flexible

• The RadGrid is a powerhouse for data presentation. It supports an impressive suite of features including sorting, filtering, grouping, and paging—all out of the box.

• Customization is effortless. Whether you're integrating templates, enabling inline editing, or setting up custom command buttons, RadGrid delivers intuitive flexibility.

• Performance is top-notch. Even with complex datasets, the grid remains snappy and responsive.

• The support for data-binding options (like declarative and programmatic) makes it versatile across various architectures.

RadMultiColumnComboBox: A Beautiful Data-Driven Dropdown

• This control combines the best of a grid and a combo box, allowing users to search and select from structured data with multiple columns.

• It's highly customizable in look and behavior, making it easy to match your application’s style.

• With its built-in filtering, virtualization, and keyboard navigation, it dramatically enhances the user experience for selection-heavy interfaces.

• It’s particularly useful when simple dropdowns fall short—like when displaying items with multiple fields (e.g., product name, SKU, and price).

Final Thoughts: Together, RadGrid and RadMultiColumnComboBox provide developers with powerful building blocks for enterprise-level applications. Whether you're aiming for high usability or robust data management, these controls make the job faster and the outcome more polished. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

Nothing, Telerik provides the perfect balance of form and function for third-party controls. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Possibly the best UI library for Blazor"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

They have an incredible selection of controls. I have yet to find something that I've needed that they don't have. There are so many additional controls that I haven't needed yet, but I see value it all they do. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

The price is a bit high. If you're not going to use a lot of the product then it may be worth looking elsewhere. Also, there are no free templates to get you started. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great out of the box"
What do you like best about Progress Telerik?

The best part about Kendo React UI besides the components themselves is the Support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?

There's still a few lingering bugs our team has pointed out. For a paid product, I was surprised there were several bugs we found while trying to implement a few different components. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
