## Progress Telerik Reviews
  ### 1. Awesome Performance, Great UX, and Top-Notch Telerik Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Doug T. | 2016-22 Full Stack Solution Architect, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I’ve been with Telerik since it launched. Progress feels like it’s all about “nickel & diming you to death,” and it’s clearly very different from what Telerik used to be. The Telerik support team goes above and beyond, and they’re much better than Syncfusion. I’ve recommended Telerik at every company I have been at (or kendo). The components are complete and well tested, and are WCAG compliant. But licensing was always an issue : stuff wont work, wont deploy, so any sort of upgrade was hell. Your product does not include AI / Intelligence as advertised, that an extra $2000, so a dissapointment. Its like buying a car only to fine the 4 wheels are optional extras. In general the Performance is awesome, the intergration is good and the UX are just perfect

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I dislike Progress and what feels like their asset-sweating approach. They say the product has AI, but it doesn’t—AI is a separate purchase, which comes across as paying again for something you thought you’d already bought. If they’re this upfront about it, it makes me wonder what else is going on in the areas you can’t see? Trust is becoming an issue. With the AJAX product it is getting a little over complicated(like it can do everything) but at the cost of one feature breaking another - thank god for chatGPT. The other huge issue is the Cost of Ownership. If you have 15 developers, and any one of them may touch a telerik bit of code - you want all 15 licensed even if they never touch the UI. A floating license would be an easier sell. Then its up to the senior/lead developer to do all the support calls. This makes the move to kendoui cheaper.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have been using telerik for a long time, so know it well. For me the rapid prototyping and proof of concept to deliver is great - the client gets to see delivery and can feel confident. For me i can work thru itterations of a UI to get the right mix really quickly. I know that you have tested the stuff, and there is a load of stuff I dont need to worry about (eg WCAG etc)

  ### 2. A Broad Range of Web Controls, Combined with Robust Customization, Elevates the UI/UX Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario V. | Desarrollador de software sénior, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Lot of web controls that are easy to implement, to enhance UIX, We love the way you can bind and use data using datasources, customization it's also very extensive, forums and online documentation are very helpful, the dojo tool its awesome. we use them in web applications like ASP.net, Java and Angular

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

even tho, the customization it's very poweful, sometimes one can get lost in the "Theme builder app".

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In recent years, users have increasingly come to expect web controls that are both highly responsive and visually engaging. They also place significant value on the ability to customize these controls in terms of both appearance and functionality to better align with their specific needs. For these reasons, Telerik controls have become our preferred choice. Furthermore, the Dojo tool has proven to be exceptionally valuable in accelerating the design process, enabling us to rapidly develop and iterate on mockups.

  ### 3. Intuitive Docs and Clean Razor + Code Workflow When It Works

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

When it works, it really works. OOP is easy to implement, and the documentation feels intuitive to use—at least when it isn’t missing code. I especially like being able to keep both the code and the Razor file together in one place. Also, the under-the-hood shared-memory approach for passing @VarItem to child components is a real boon when I don’t need to micromanage the resource.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

When I need a component to do specific things, then things can get tricky on how I need more minute parts of the component or having to make a JSInterop script implementation entirely.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solves the lower level micromanaging of resources, handlers, micromanaging aspects by keeping the components simple, implementable to ADA compliance, and scalable. It seems to perform well under load or at least, the OOP implementations even upon multiple layering seem to perform well under large data contexts that I've seen be troublesome in other non-telerik projects.

  ### 4. Progress (Telerik) Winforms/Blazor 2026

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris M. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Having used both the WinForms and Blazor UI packages for a few years now, the great thing about that (plus all of the additional packages that I have access to) is the ease of implementation and the support/documentation (which is extensive to say the least). Pretty much everything has a mini-demo which makes it easy to utilise that particular component. Due to the subscription I'm on, the customer support for tickets is usually 24 hours - I've had to contact them a few times over the years when I was querying rather obscure issues and the team are more than happy to generate projects to try and replicate the problem or will suggest code snippets for me to try (which usually fixes the issue). Overall, very happy with everything they offer and they show no sign of slowing down with updates etc.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

There have only been 1 or 2 instances where what I have been trying to achieve has not been possible (due to how a particular component has been built, but usually they will take what I am asking for into consideratioon for a future build), but apart from that I can't think of anything negative to say about what they offer.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to build an entire solution around their UI packages allow me to focus on building the business solutions into the code without having to worry about creating the visual elements from scratch - it saves weeks (if not months) of time.

  ### 5. Honestly did not expect it to fix our resourcing mess this fast

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amara K. | Digital Products Agency, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The resource allocation view across live projects is something our ops lead checks every single morning now without being asked. Seeing who is overloaded and who has spare capacity in real time means we stopped having the uncomfortable conversation about why something slipped after it already slipped. That visibility alone changed how our team leads make daily decisions and the difference in how planned our weeks feel compared to before has been consistently commented on in our retrospectives.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Setting up project templates for the first time takes longer than expected and the options can feel overwhelming without proper guidance.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were running ten plus client projects with no single place to see how they were all connected. Resources were being pulled in different directions by different project managers who had no visibility into each other's commitments and the conflicts that created were showing up as delivery failures rather than scheduling conversations. Celoxis put everyone on the same page and the reduction in last minute escalations has been significant enough that our delivery director brought it up as a measurable improvement during our last board update.

  ### 6. Telerik AI Coding Tools: Faster API Chatbots and Fewer Errors

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard P. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I totally like the Telerik MCP model and the native AI coding tools for enabling me to build solid chatbots on APIs. Building codes directly to the IDEs saves time and cost for app deployment. The AI Coding assistant has reduced errors and reduced broken code scenarios when creating interactive pages.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Progress Telerik has enabled me to complete most projects successfuly. The learning curve was steep with complex coding techniques for new users.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I highly depend on built-in Telerik MCP Servers for developing clean UI. The natural language prompts enables me to select efficient themes for building page layouts. Telerik Fiddler helps clearing network hitches across the enterprise infrastructure. SmartPaste has streamlined data entry process into application forms via clipboard data inserting system.

  ### 7. Excellent UI Controls and Stellar Support, Needs Predictability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fredrik B. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I really like Progress Telerik for its comprehensive suite of well-developed UI controls, which allows us to concentrate on our business logic rather than developing our own input controls. The online documentation is very good and makes it easy to understand the features of their control suite, complete with example guides that significantly shorten the implementation time for us. Additionally, I find their customer support to be very helpful, as they always find a way to solve our problems in a short time period. I also appreciate that Telerik provides a much broader suite of controls compared to other tools and is updated more frequently. The initial setup was very easy, which further adds to its ease of use.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

We have been disappointed a few times regarding features on the roadmap being pushed backwards several times. Features that we have been waiting for. So we would like more predictability and timeframe on features and on issues with existing functionality. Additionally, we had some troubles when they first introduced the license key in the application.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik provides us a great suite of UI controls, allowing us to focus on our business logic. Their documentation and customer support help us understand features quickly, shortening implementation time, and solving our problems efficiently.

  ### 8. High-quality Blazor controls with strong documentation and fast support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I have been using Telerik UI for Blazor in various client projects for several years now and am overall very satisfied.

I am particularly impressed by the wide selection of high-quality controls: they are not only visually appealing but also very functionally sophisticated and can be easily integrated into existing projects. Another big plus is the extensive documentation. It offers many practical examples that noticeably facilitate both getting started and daily work with the components.

The support from Progress Telerik also deserves praise. For all previous concerns, I have received quick, friendly, and dedicated help. You can tell that the team is genuinely interested in actively supporting users.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

What I like less is the new type of licensing – even though I can understand that these changes were necessary.
Additionally, it would be desirable if the Balzor Data Grid could directly edit the data classes instead of always creating a copy.
But there are workarounds for that.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik UI for Blazor helps us so that we don't have to redevelop all standard controls.

  ### 9. UI components that stopped being the reason our sprints slipped

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jakub D. | Product Engineering Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The component library depth is genuinely hard to match from anything else we evaluated before committing to Telerik. Grids charts forms and data visualisation components that would have taken our frontend team weeks to build and test from scratch are available production ready and customisable enough that they fit our design system without looking like off the shelf parts. The consistency across components has also meant that our UI behaves predictably across different parts of the application which was a constant source of small but accumulating quality issues before we standardised on Telerik.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The learning curve on some of the more complex components is steeper than the documentation prepares junior developers for and getting them productive independently takes longer than expected.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Frontend development was consistently the bottleneck in our sprint delivery and a significant portion of that time was going into building and maintaining UI components that were not differentiating our product in any meaningful way. Telerik shifted that time toward the parts of our application that actually matter to customers and the sprint velocity improvement that followed was visible enough in our first quarter of full adoption that our product manager brought it up unprompted during a retrospective. The reduction in UI related bugs has also had a downstream effect on our QA cycle time which has shortened our overall release cadence in a way that compounds across

  ### 10. Perfect Solution for Dynamic Labels

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco Q. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like that Progress Telerik includes two-dimensional barcodes like QR Codes, Data Matrix, and PDF417, which I use in the prints used by our companies (especially labels that identify the products sold); 2D barcodes are increasingly demanded by customers for their ability to store a lot of information in a small space and are useful for automating the receipt of materials. The ability to have formatting dependent on the dataset being worked on is very useful. In collaboration with SQL Server, I can generate a dataset through stored procedures (with the flexibility provided by a programming language), which offers a wide range of customization possibilities. The integration with SQL Server allows me to customize the prints according to customer needs, extracting different data and allowing the prints to evolve over time, which is a great advantage. I did not encounter any difficulty in starting to use Progress Telerik as the software suppliers who call the Telerik prints had already delivered a working software and the first versions of the reports already functioning.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I haven't found anything so far that represents a problem.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik to update labels in case of company changes or customer requests and to adapt the prints. Additionally, QR codes assist internal logistics, the formatting depends on the data, and the integration with SQL Server customizes the prints.

  ### 11. Consistent Cross-Platform Components with a Solid UI and Great Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tuukka U. | Head of Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Solid components that work consistently across multiple platforms. The UI is solid, the documentation is pretty good, and the customer service is great.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Some components force you into certain workflows and have very complex interactions that can be difficult to manage. At times, the documentation is also a bit vague, which makes it harder to understand how everything is supposed to work together.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides a stable set of components for enterprise-style applications that need a consistent look and feel. With theming support and a wide selection of components, most common UI needs in typical applications are already covered, so developers can focus more on the application logic.

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like the support from Progress Telerik, which is very efficient and fast. The engineers show dedication in addressing the needs. Additionally, I appreciate the extensive documentation and the availability of many sample projects to get started, which makes the process easier.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Yes, it would be interesting if they developed more code examples, because they have a lot of examples, but when one goes to program directly in CCHAR, there are hardly any examples. There are examples for Maui, examples for Maui NET Core 8 and 9, but when one tries to run them in 10, there are quite a few execution problems due to the platform change.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I focus on the business rules without worrying about the visualization, saving myself time. It also benefits the clients by maintaining a consistent visual line across all web, mobile, or desktop platforms.

This singular set of components streamlines our workflow by eliminating the need to learn different component sets for each platform. This consistency not only saves valuable time but also ensures that our applications benefit from the robust features Telerik offers, such as the flexible data grid in Blazor, which supports sorting, column switching, and fixing. The extensive demo apps provided by Telerik have been invaluable in getting up to speed with the toolset. Utilizing Progress Telerik since 2010, I've experienced how it continuously helps us in crafting high-quality custom software. I also value the supplier's commitment to simplicity while maintaining high-quality components.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Learning a new component set takes time, as you do not know all the components and their properties, which can be challenging at the beginning.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik for Blazor, MAUI, and WinForms applications. It consolidates our component sets, reducing the need to learn multiple tools and includes components that solve specific problems, like the datagrid in Blazor for sorting and switching columns.

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I have been working with the KendoReact components for several years and use them on a daily base. I use the Telerik ThemeBuilder since a couple of months. The components are really rich from a features perspective and the documentation is very good too. And integrating them with my application was as easy as adding a couple of npm packages to my app and I was done. Implementing them in my application is really easy too and they add a lot of functionality if needed.

ThemeBuilder is for styling of a Kendo Theme and it is a great tool that makes it really easy to change the look and feel of your application.

But the best thing in my opinion is the Telerik support! These guys are incredibly smart and also very fast in responding to any issue that gets reported (if any). I can only say that I'm really very satisfied with the product and the service.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Since now I have not come accross anything that I dislike with the product. As I said before, I'm a happy customer.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If I wouldn't have the components of the KendoReact product or the ThemeBuilder application then I would have to develop a lot of things from scratch which would take a lot of time. So this enables me to be much faster in shipping final products.

It would have been helpful to have access to video resources. So far, we have not encountered any issues related to Telerik.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are currently using Telerik Reporting in our application. Previously, we relied on Crystal Reports for our desktop-based application. Now, as we develop a web-based application, we need users to be able to generate and customize reports according to their requirements and deploy them easily. Telerik Reporting has been helpful during this transition. They have even provided some tools that allow us to convert Crystal Reports to Telerik Reports without any issues.

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik’s components—both the original AJAX suite and the newer Kendo UI—have always been rock-solid, well-documented, and feature-rich. They save me countless hours on front-end development and make it easy to deliver polished, professional-looking applications. The Telerik Grid, in particular, is incredibly powerful and customizable. I also ap

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Nothing really! There’s a bit of a learning curve when moving between suites (e.g., from AJAX to Kendo UI), and occasionally the documentation could be clearer for edge cases or advanced configurations. Licensing costs can add up for smaller teams, but the value delivered still justifies the investment.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik helps solve the challenge of building rich, responsive, and user-friendly interfaces without reinventing the wheel. Their component libraries dramatically reduce development time by providing ready-made, customizable UI elements—especially for complex features like data grids, forms, scheduling, charts, and file uploads.

In our case, this has translated into faster project delivery, consistent UI/UX across modules, and lower long-term maintenance. The components integrate well with both legacy Web Forms and modern JavaScript frameworks, which is particularly valuable in our environment where we support both. Their tools help us focus on business logic instead of getting bogged down by front-end complexities.

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

We are using Telerik reporting last 1 year. we use Telerik reporting for crystal report migration. Initially we face couple of challenges because we are new to this technology but after checking Telerik Documentation and support we got from Telerik team we completed the couple of report.
I like most here Telerik Support by 24 hours always get the reply from the with proper solution.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

1.Accessibility Documentation Could Be Clearer – Features like Enable Accessibility and ViewerRenderToolTips are available but making them work effectively with screen readers (such as NVDA) and different PDF viewers (like Adobe Reader vs. Foxit) often requires trial and error. More complete and practical examples would help a lot.
2.Inconsistent Tooltip Support Across Viewers – Tooltips (via AccessibleDescription) show correctly in Foxit PDF Reader but not in Adobe Reader or most browser-based PDF viewers. This inconsistency can create confusion for end users expecting uniform behavior.
3.CanShrink Property in PageHeaderSection – The CanShrink property does not behave the same way in PageHeaderSection as it does in ReportHeaderSection. Even when content is hidden based on conditions, the section height remains, which affects layout. Aligning its behavior with the ReportHeaderSection would provide more layout flexibility.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Progress Telerik Reporting helps us solve several critical reporting challenges:

Complex Report Generation: We can design and deliver highly structured, data-rich reports without needing to write extensive custom code. Telerik’s drag-and-drop designer and parameter support make building reports quick and efficient.

PDF Accessibility (ADA Compliance): With features like Enable Accessibility and support for tagged PDFs, we can meet accessibility standards—ensuring screen readers like NVDA properly interpret and announce report content.

Server-Side Rendering: The ability to generate reports programmatically using the ReportProcessor.RenderReport API streamlines automation and batch processing of documents.

It provides enhanced controls that users find useful, with little to no extra effort required.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The complexity of RadGridView can be hard to work through, especially when it comes to adding new rows. I think it becomes even more challenging in our case because we’re using unbound data.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides users with a modern interface that’s both easier to use and visually appealing.

  ### 36. Tech support was wonderful.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Tech support was very helpful and professional.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I was using WinForms controls. Features are overwhelming.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve been using Telerik WinForms controls for many years and recently upgraded my projects to the latest 2025 versions. Everything runs smoothly in my local Visual Studio environment regarding the Telerik license activation. However, I encountered an issue when trying to build the project in the CI environment, where Telerik license activation was not initiated.

I contacted technical support, and their response was very timely. They provided a detailed analysis along with additional documentation. After exchanging messages about three times, the problem was finally resolved. I truly appreciate the help from the technical support team—they were polite, knowledgeable, and very professional.

  ### 37. Variety of Controls

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like the variety of controls that Progress Telerik offers, which helps me in winforms programming. I also find that the initial setup is quite easy.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Sometimes there are bugs in the controls and some functions are not compatible with interop.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Progress Telerik for the interface integrated with VB6. I like the variety of controls it offers.

  ### 38. Great Support, but a Slightly Steep Learning Curve

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I really like that there are plenty of usage examples for each component, which makes it easier to get started. The implementation with Angular is also very smooth, and I use it daily in my projects. It’s very rare that I can’t find a component I need — there seems to be a solution for almost every use case. However, if I need to customize something beyond the basic examples, I usually need to reach out to support. I haven’t really used third-party integrations yet, so I can’t comment on that.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Some components have a slightly steep learning curve, especially when it comes to more advanced customizations. Also, the price can feel a bit high for smaller teams or projects.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me develop applications faster by providing ready-to-use and well-designed components. It also ensures code standardization across the project and avoids unnecessary duplication of components. This saves a lot of development time and helps keep the codebase clean and maintainable. Updating to a new version is very simple, and there are frequent updates that keep the library improving over time.

  ### 39. Great component suite, I use the data grid in all my apps

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The data grid is amazing. It's easy to setup in any language I've used and saves me so much time. The input controls are ok, some are no different than HTML controls but others are more robust. It would be nice if some controls were more customizable but overall they are great.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The licensing. Each project has had different requirements for implementing the license. Sometimes it's a file included with the project. Other times it's a pretty complex process to have it included in a deployment pipeline. I think someone needs to look at how licensing is applied and make it even easier than the controls you supply.

I also find the examples are a little simple. It would be nice if you had an example application that showcased real world examples of how your controls can be used. Maybe have 3-4 different ways ranging from simple to complex.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik is here to simplify the front-end coding for our dev team. Instead of spending countless hours re-inventing the wheel we use your controls that already have the features we need rolled into them.

  ### 40. Progress Telerik's suite of controls are great and their support team can be very helpful

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik's products and support are quite good. They have a large suite of controls that we use and when you engage their support, you don't have to wait too long for a response. They have extensive documentation, so it is relatively easy to get started and to add controls you may not have used in the past in an existing project. I really like the fact that their support often creates sample projects for you to test out their solution to your problem.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Like most things, if you want something very out-of-the-box, it can be hit or miss. Sometimes, Telerik has the solution and engaging their support early-on has been very beneficial. Other times, it is a known issue or limitation, and you can tell it is not likely to be fixed in the near future. It is disappointing to get that news, but at least their support is very responsive and lets you know quite quickly. Sometimes they have a control that you find really useful but unfortunately it is not used by many and so does not get the attention you would like (in terms of making it better and easier to integrate into your project).

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are created extensive component libraries for both desktop and web applications that we use in our products. They are continuously improving on their products and adding new components. They have good documentation and demos which are very useful in both the planning and implementing stages. And when we get stuck, their support team has often gotten us un-stuck. We have also used their document generation libraries and report generation libraries.

  ### 41. Fast Development, Responsive Support, and Easy Start with Pre-Made Projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alfonso A. | Student intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I appreciate the speed of development and the responsiveness of user support, along with how easy it is to get started using the pre-made projects.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

It’s a bit difficult to learn at first, and I’ve also noticed that the properties of certain components aren’t always consistent with those of other components, which can make things confusing.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been helping me prepare a school practice project, especially because it greatly speeds up development thanks to its pre-established designs.

  ### 42. Effortless Controls and Real-World Examples Make It Stand Out

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Timothy J. | CTO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The ease of use in terms of their controls and tools. They also tend to have very realistic examples that can be applied to real-world situations. I also like the technical support over the years.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

They have a lot of tools and suites of tools. It can be confusing to know which bundle or bundles to choose.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Telerik helps with legacy WinForms based applications and modern Blazor based websites by providing robust components that require less coding than existing Visual Studio components from Microsoft. A prime example is the grid controls they have for various platforms. They are easier to implement and have many features that can be enable merely by toggling a property.

  ### 43. I use the product in almost all my projects

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dariusz L. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

thethe vastness of available controls and the quantity of guides and examples to view both for web forms and for the ASP part

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The first disadvantage for users is the price of the suite. For a developer working alone, it's a bit high.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I found myself faced with a problem, I opened a ticket related to the problem and in a short time I received a response from Telerik with the solutions and examples.

  ### 44. A solid suite of native components with good coverage for common UI needs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthías Leó T. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Kendo provides a wide range of flexible components available across the most popular web frameworks, and they integrate seamlessly into our Vue 3 applications. Whenever I’ve run into issues and reached out to customer support, they’ve been quick to respond within the promised timeframe and provided clear, helpful solutions.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

My biggest issue with Kendo-Vue right now is the broken event type support. As a TypeScript user, I’m not a fan of being forced into using a generic catch-all for event handlers. The documentation also feels crowded and difficult to navigate, with examples that are often too basic to cover real-world scenarios. Additionally, the website could use a refresh — the layout feels bulky, the fonts are oversized, and the high-contrast color scheme (dark blue/white/red) is a bit straining on the eyes.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Developing financial applications with lots of tabular data (virtual grids) and excel file handling, most of our UI is built with Vue 3 using Progress Telerik components.

  ### 45. Excellent Controls and Fast Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc V. | CTO / CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The vast amount of great controls. Telerik is easy to integrate and use. Support is fast and able to help.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Sometimes even simple adjustments or additions in components take long to implement or are not implemented at all, even when there are various votes or missing key functionality.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Telerik we create modern looking applications with flexible possibilities. Also reporting is easy to integrate.

  ### 46. Effortless Coding Made Simple with Telerik

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cindy N. | Web Deverloper, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

I like how easy and shorter it makes for me to do simple code

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

I dislike the help articles on the website. I need more visual examples and code. Especially for first time user, I feel like the documentation needs a lot of improvement to help me incorporate Telerik into my code.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely benefits me in time where I spend less time coding due to Teleriks help

  ### 47. Clear Documentation Makes Learning the Components Easy

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alcocer F. | School intern for the development team, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 18, 2026

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

The documentation is clear, and it makes it easy to learn how to use the components.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

The ability to troubleshoot errors and resolve compatibility issues is a key benefit.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What I like most is the speed of development, along with the pre-made components.

  ### 48. Strong and versatile reporting tool, with some shortcomings

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

Telerik Reporting abstracts away pdf management and offers many options for report generation and rendering. They're also quick to respond to questions through their support portal and offer useful assistance. I recommend using the standalone designer tool over the visual studio integration option as it's a lot less buggy.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Setup for Reporting can be cumbersome and feels a bit too complicated, especially designing reports by linking them to classes in assemblies, and setting up the ReportsController to work as required. While it can work out of the box by following default settings, if something doesn't work, it can be hard to pinpoint what's wrong. Fortunately Telerik Support is generally handy for cases like that. Reporting items for tables need a bit more documentation on how chaining items inside works.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most beneficial problem solved by Telerik for us is minimising the boilerplate code we need to write while offering meaningful customisation options

  ### 49. Good Set of ASP.Net Ajax Controls

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

For those that need a better set of controls than the out of the box Visual Studio ASP.Net Ajax controls, the Telerik controls provide a mature and consistent set of controls that perform well in production and consumer facing web applications.

The controls are easy to implement and in some cases can be directly swapped for the equivalent Visual Studio controls. This allows for ease of integration when converting from older web controls.

I've used more advanced features and had my share of interesting things that I didn't understand when trying to get controls to do what I want. In these cases, I've created support tickets as part of my subscription and found them to be tremendously insightful and helpful. They somehow seem to be able to read our minds in some cases.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

Some of the things I dislike about the ASP.Net Ajax controls are:
The lack of a full-fledged style manager. Telerik as some basic style manager features that can be loaded in but it is quite limited compared to their other products.
Poor documentation quality. While this has improved over the years, the javascript api is quite limited to the point of just being a list of methods without any context in how to use the properties and methods in more complex cases.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes for an easy set of controls to implement advanced web user interfaces.

  ### 50. A good components suite

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gianluca M. | Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 05, 2024

**What do you like best about Progress Telerik?**

What I really appreciate about Progress Telerik is how much easier it makes my daily work as a developer. Their tools—especially the UI components—are intuitive and save me a ton of time when building more complex applications. I also like how smoothly everything integrates across different frameworks, which helps me stay focused on the actual development rather than dealing with compatibility issues. The documentation is clear and helpful, and when I’ve had to reach out to their support team, they’ve always been quick and spot-on with their answers. All in all, it’s a solid toolkit that I’ve come to rely on, and it keeps getting better with each update.

**What do you dislike about Progress Telerik?**

There isn’t much I’d really call a downside with Progress Telerik, but if I had to mention something, it would be the cost—especially for freelancers or small businesses. The tools are excellent, no doubt about it, but the pricing can be a bit of a stretch if you're working with a tighter budget. Also, a few of the more advanced features can take some time to get the hang of, especially if you’re new to the ecosystem. That said, once you’re up and running, the overall value and the quality of support do make it feel like money well spent.

**What problems is Progress Telerik solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One of the things I value most about Progress Telerik’s Components Library is how it helps tackle some of the common headaches in modern app development.

First off, it really speeds things up. Having a full set of ready-made UI components means I don’t have to build everything from scratch, which saves a ton of time. On top of that, I get consistent results across different platforms and devices, without having to dive into endless tweaks or customizations to make things look right.

The quality of the components is also solid—they’re fast, reliable, and clearly well-tested. And whenever I’ve needed help, the documentation has been detailed and the support team quick to respond, which makes a big difference when you’re trying to keep a project moving.

All in all, using Telerik lets me focus more on the logic and real business needs of the application, instead of getting bogged down in UI problems. It definitely boosts my productivity and helps me deliver better results.
