"A Game-Changer for Small Teams Building Angular Apps"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

We’re a very small organization with a limited budget, and finding reliable UI libraries is always a challenge. Syncfusion Essential Studio has been a real game-changer for us.

The utility library is easy to use and integrates smoothly into our Angular projects. The online documentation is more than sufficient as well—clear, detailed, and practical—so we’ve been able to implement the features we need without any hassle. We also haven’t had to contact customer support yet, simply because everything related to the Angular UI components has worked perfectly out of the box.

What truly sets Syncfusion apart, though, is their generosity in providing Essential Studio free to small organizations. That kind of support makes a big difference for teams like ours, helping us grow and deliver professional-grade applications without worrying about expensive licensing fees.

Overall, Syncfusion Essential Studio has empowered us to build modern, feature-rich applications efficiently. It feels like a perfect fit for small teams that want enterprise-quality tools without the enterprise-level costs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

Although Syncfusion Essential Studio has met our requirements overall, we do feel the UI components’ default styles could be stronger compared with a few other libraries on the market. In some cases, the look and feel needs additional customization to align with more modern design standards. Even so, most alternatives that come with more polished defaults are simply too expensive for a small organization like ours, so Syncfusion’s offering still feels like the most practical and valuable choice. "Full-Featured Excel-Like Spreadsheet with Flexible API and Responsive Support"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

The Syncfusion EJ2 Spreadsheet component is one of the most full-featured web-based spreadsheet solutions available. It provides a familiar Excel-like UI out of the box with cell formatting, multiple sheet support, formula calculation, and JSON

import/export. The API is flexible enough to build complex features on top of it,

like programmatically creating sheets, inserting data, and applying formatting.

The community license makes it accessible for indie developers and small teams,

and their support team is responsive and willing to engage directly with

developers to help resolve issues. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The built-in formula engine supports around 88 functions, which is less than what users expect coming from Excel. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent Documentation That Makes Everything Easy"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

Very great Flutter documentation. It was easy to integrate with Flutter Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The only thing is that from the documentation for the Flutter integration, they mentioned that you need to add a license in the codebase. but later I found out that the company you use for the license application is the same company that uses the product then you dont have to do that step. So perhaps if the communication is clarified it would be great Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Document Generation with Easy Integration"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

As a solo software developer, I needed a way to generate Word, Excel, and PDF documents on the server. Syncfusion provided an effective solution for this. The APIs are easy to use, the documentation is reliable, and I was able to integrate document generation into my web application within a few hours. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

To be honest, there isn't much to mention. Initially, I was a little confused by the number of different NuGet packages available—there are quite a few, and it took me some time to determine which ones I actually needed. However, after I figured that out, everything ran smoothly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Robust Bundle and Excellent Support for Blazor and WinUI Development"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

The bundle is robust and allows our developers to build great applications in Blazor and WinUI, our two focuses right now. Customer support is responsive and complete, and they do their best to address bugs as quickly as possible. They are very helpful in answering questions as well. The components are very helpful in allowing us to recreate features we had in our old applications in newer platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

The WinUI feature set is not as complete as I wish it was. UWP had many more components. They have been responsive in adding our most desired features, like the Kanban control, but there are some components that I wish the WinUI package had that existed in UWP but still have not been added to WinUI. Perhaps that may change in the future - I hope. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Powerful WinForms Suite with Metro Themes, PDF Tools, and XlsIO"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

It provides a suite of WinForms tools that extends the standard UI components provided by Microsoft. I also use the Metro WinForms theme in my solutions, and find the PDF, PDFViewer, DocToPDF and XlsIO solve all of my requirements for PDF document and .XLS file handling. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I can't think of anything at the moment that I dislike. All of my issues in the past have been addressed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Instant Workflow Creation with Excellent Documentation"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

I love the great RTE and Diagramming tool set in Syncfusion Essential Studio®. It enables me to use my plain vanilla JS/CSS/HTML skills to create workflows for various needs without worrying about toolsets. The excellent documentation with fully working examples is by far the most important feature as it’s the best way to learn any new toolset. I start from working examples and then extend them to meet my specific needs. Additionally, using a CDN makes the initial setup relatively simple. Compared to JQWidgets, the Syncfusion ES tools are just much better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I don't use any frameworks, just plain JS and CSS, so sometimes it is more difficult to translate specific issues. The install examples can be confusing. I just use the CDN, but I'd like to know how to get the libraries and dependencies as a simple JS and CSS file to host locally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A true accelerator for SaaS teams using Blazor"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

As a startup building a SaaS platform, Syncfusion has been a huge accelerator for us. The Blazor components are robust, well-designed, and production-ready. What stands out the most is the balance between flexibility and structure: we get enterprise-grade UI components without feeling locked in or fighting the framework.

I’ve worked with several component libraries over the years, and there’s always a trade-off — you gain speed but lose flexibility, or you spend a lot of time adapting things to your architecture. With Syncfusion, the integration cost and customization effort have been significantly lower than anything else I’ve used. It simply works, and it works reliably. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

Like any comprehensive UI suite, there is an initial learning curve due to the breadth of components and configuration options. In more advanced scenarios, some customization still requires digging into documentation and examples.

That said, compared to other libraries I’ve used, the trade-offs are minimal and very manageable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Extremely reliable tools with the best support in the industry. Opinion from a long-time user."
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

All tools work as expected. Support is way beyond the average. If a issue is reported, and it is reproducible, they will quickly provide a patch for me and include the fix in the next release. That's about as good as it gets for support. It is a great cross platform tool and I've used it to provide a consistent interface between Windows and mobile devices. Once you get the hang of it, it is easy to implement and consistent across interfaces. I am a long-time user, I've used it every day for at least six years. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I have been using this product for many years. There is no downside. I have submitted many tickets and the majority have been my own fault. But I have received excellent support and even code explaining what I did wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Syncfusion: Very versatile, data, event and model-centric UI widgets with excellent tech support"
What do you like best about Essential Studio?

What I find most helpful about Syncfusion Studio is the thoughtful design of its UI widgets.

Each widget is built around a model that supports both local and remote data manipulation, thanks to a comprehensive set of properties, events, and the ability to intercept or override nearly any default behavior.

The inclusion of default streaming or paging for remote data within the UI widgets is especially important to me, as it streamlines handling large datasets.

Additionally, their technical support team is very responsive, quickly addressing any issues or bugs that arise.

I also appreciate how easy Syncfusion is to use and implement. I primarily work with JavaScript and TypeScript, but the same code and controls are compatible with frameworks like React and Vue.

Customizing the default CSS colors and switching between styles such as Material, Bootstrap, or Fabric is straightforward, thanks to the built-in options.

As far as frequency of use, all these features have made Syncfusion my preferred UI widget set, one that I have relied on almost daily since 2017—so for about eight years now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Essential Studio?

I would have to say, the least pleasant thing about Syncfusion are some of the omissions in documentation.

The major properties and events are described at the high level, and they started adding examples to every property, which is great. However, once you need to do deeper things, the documentation is bare-bones sometimes for more advanced functionality.

For example, some of the events' parameter descriptions are simply a repeat of the parameter name separated in the words that would constitute it, but nothing on the structure. If a parameter is both a value and a function, there is lost of times no description at all of the function variant or its layout.

They do however publish they source code, and when I need advanced things I'll either ping their tech support (which is very good) or look at the source code and find what I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
