## About Prepr CMS
Prepr CMS: The headless CMS for lead-gen and commerce. Prepr CMS is a headless content management system for teams that need their website to capture and convert leads, not just publish pages. It combines structured content with built-in personalization and A/B testing, so marketers can ship changes fast and see what works. Most teams run into the same problems: - Websites show the same content to everyone and underperform. - Simple changes require developer time and slow release cycles. - Web and CRM data live in different systems, making personalization hard. Prepr CMS solves these by connecting content, data, and delivery in one place: - Personalization built in — tailor content by behavior, campaign source, or segment. - Visual editing — build and adjust pages without developer handoffs. - A/B testing — validate headlines, layouts, and offers with clear results. - Integrated data layer — track content performance and tie it to leads and pipeline. - Default CRM integrations — use CRM fields for targeting, send buying signals back. Prepr CMS is designed for marketing and growth teams, content editors, and developers at B2B companies and digital organizations that run lead-gen campaigns. The platform supports multi-channel delivery (websites, apps, and other touchpoints) and scales with traffic and content volume. Primary use cases: - Improve conversion rates — test key pages and personalize for different visitor groups and audiences. - Generate better leads — capture behavior signals and sync qualified interest to the CRM. - Personalize buyer journeys — continue campaign context beyond the landing page. - Future-proof the marketing stack — flexible and scalable headless content model with clean APIs. - Manage multiple brands — share schemas and components for easy development and consistency while keeping access controlled. What this looks like in practice: - Personalization: Launch a campaign page, then tailor follow-up pages by source (e.g., LinkedIn vs. search), visitor behavior, firmographics, or buying stage. - A/B testing: Test and optimize messaging by adjusting proof points, offers, or CTAs for different audience segments. - Buying signals: Send events like "viewed pricing," "downloaded guide," or "visited integration page" directly to your CRM. - Zero code website updates: Let marketers ship copy and layout changes in minutes, without developer support. Prepr CMS provides the structure developers want and the control marketers need. The result is a site that adapts to visitors, learns from every interaction, and turns more traffic into qualified demand—without stitching together multiple tools.

## Prepr CMS Reviews
 ### 1. Prepr: Uniquely User-Friendly and Flexible for End Users and Developers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Connor v. | Software Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I've worked with quite a few CMSs - self-hosted and SaaS - in the past, each with their own pros and cons. But Prepr is uniquely user-friendly, for both end users and developers. When I started using it, I immediately noticed how well though-out and flexible it is. From the easy to set up previews to the ability to mix both Models and Components in one simple Stack field.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Dislike is perhaps a strong word, but I'm mainly missing some quality-of-life improvements like an API endpoint to sync content models. This would allow us to automatically deploy content schemas automatically, instead of having to press an extra button manually during deployments.

Other than that, I would love to see an option to make conditional fields no longer required when they're hidden.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The client needs to be able to quickly A/B test content. To that end, they've chosen Prepr. Although I haven't yet used it, it seems to work quite intuitively and the Prepr Next.js package seems to handle most of the work.

 ### 2. An all-in-one CMS that grows with your clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Wendy L. | Digital Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

What sets Prepr apart is its all-in-one approach: content management, A/B testing, and personalization live in a single platform, eliminating the need for separate tools. Everything you need is in one place — and with a team that continuously ships new features and improvements, the platform keeps getting better.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

For smaller to mid-sized projects, navigating content is smooth and intuitive. On larger implementations with a high volume of content items, a more powerful search experience would be a welcome addition — something worth keeping in mind when structuring your content model upfront.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr solves one of our core challenges: delivering platforms that clients can actually manage themselves. The intuitive interface means less training time and fewer support requests after handover. The Visual Editor in particular is a win for our clients — they can draft and preview content changes without touching anything live, which gives them confidence to work independently.

 ### 3. Custom Solutions Made Easy with Prepr CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jori R. | Freelance Digital Strategist & Software Architect, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I use Prepr CMS to create custom solutions for a large set of clients as part of a digital agency. I like its deeply integrated A/B + Personalization features, which make content for client-side content editors more interactive, going beyond just static pages. It's also a great affordable alternative to enterprise CMSes with A/B/personalization features like Sitecore or Optimizely. Moreover, service at Prepr CMS truly means service: you can have direct contact with their teams about the product, which is of great help when setting up.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I would say that content publishing views are quite straightforward, long forms of inputs underneath each other. Very Drupally. Which is fine, but with the rise of AI, how can UIs be further optimized than just long forms of input? Also, from a developer's perspective, configuration of the CMS is mostly done via web views. It would be great if configuration could be consolidated more. This is now done throughout the web portal, while a specific developer segment or maybe even a CLI tool would speed up development, especially with the rise of agentic AI.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS provides headless content management in a user-friendly way, with built-in AB testing and personalization, making content more interactive for editors.

 ### 4. User-friendly No-Code Solution with Price Tag

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mattijn S. | Medior Full-stack Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I find Prepr CMS an interesting app because it is a no-code platform. Before I worked with Prepr, I always looked somewhat negatively at no-code, but actually, with Prepr, you can do everything you can with other CMSs like Sanity or Drupal. Prepr saves you a lot of custom solutions that are the same in many projects. It's like a package where you can do almost everything you need. Additionally, the simplicity of the setup is pleasant, because everything was self-explanatory and it was quite simple. It also works very well with different projects like Firan and e-hubs.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The costs

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Prepr CMS for both new and old projects. It is convenient because I only need to create one schema that is reusable for different environments. Prepr CMS works as a no-code platform and offers 99% of what other CMSs do without the need for much customization.

 ### 5. User-friendly and Flexible with Powerful AI Integrations

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johan C. | Senior Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I love Prepr CMS because of its user-friendliness, simplicity, and flexibility. The AI translations are very useful, and I look forward to further AI integrations that can make the content management process even faster. The intuitive user interface allows users to get started with minimal training. I also appreciate that personalization and A/B testing are integrated, enabling marketers to easily set up experiments within the CMS. The solution offers both content management and personalization and A/B testing right upon delivery, and the combination of the CMS and hosting platform from the EEA is a plus. It is an affordable integrated solution that takes a lot of work off our hands.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I have not yet encountered any real limitations. From a development perspective, more can be done in terms of automation, for example through a more extensive content management API in which models and components can also be realized.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS offers content management, personalization, and A/B testing in one solution. It has a user-friendly interface, allowing users to get started with minimal training. This makes setting up experiments easier for marketers, among other things.

 ### 6. More than a headless CMS: content management, personalization, and A/B testing in one

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rob P. | director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I have been using Prepr for some time now for content-driven websites and marketing platforms, and what particularly appeals to me is that it is more than "just" a headless CMS. It combines content management with personalization and A/B testing, without the need to immediately integrate various external tools. This makes it especially interesting for teams that are serious about conversion and lead generation.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

no comments so far am very satisfied

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Flexible content model
You are not tied to fixed page structures. This makes it easy to set up content that is scalable and reusable, which is especially nice for larger sites or multiple channels.

Personalization & A/B testing are just included
Big plus. You can create content variants and target them to audiences without extra tools or complex integrations. Really valuable for marketers.

Great for developers and marketers
API-first, GraphQL, clearly set up. At the same time, content editors can work well with it once the model is in place.

Support is good and personal
No cumbersome enterprise support, but people who really think along. I found that very pleasant.

 ### 7. Easy to Learn, Feature-Rich CMS with Flexible Block Editing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alessandro A. | Frontend Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Beyond being easy to learn, it includes all the features you’d expect from a solid CMS, which makes it a well-rounded choice overall. I’m particularly impressed with the ability to place blocks directly in content fields. It’s also clear that the team is committed to improving its capabilities and helping the people who use Prepr get the most out of it.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I don’t have any major issues with it overall. The main thing that comes to mind is that it can be difficult to keep track of menu items that share the same name on the frontend but actually serve different functions. I'd like an option to give them a different name for the backend only.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a front-end developer, it has helped me a lot by letting me implement designs quickly and set up flexible back-end environments for clients.

 ### 8. Great for A/B testing and content personalization

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom M. | Frontend Ontwikkelaar, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I really love features like A/B testing and content personalization. They make it much easier for me to experiment and tailor the content better.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I find the CMS a bit messy. I would like to be able to organize my pages by group. I have created categories, but they all appear one below the other in the sidebar. I can't create an overarching group, like "Categories," to bundle those elements. This makes it more difficult to logically organize certain groups and keep the CMS clear and understandable.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I really like that I can add images per section so that it is clear to the user which section he/she is adding.

 ### 9. Great Communication and Support from a Local Dutch Company.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Danny Paul v. | Senior Software Developer Team Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

It is a local (Dutch) company. Communication with Prepr as developer is very good, they take the time and effort to support.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

De complexity for editors could be an issue if to many Items exist. Folder structure is still a default way of thinking for many people.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A good content management system to solve the general issue for mainly containt. It gives good insights. How I sometimes (as a developer) wish it would not be full headless.

 ### 10. User-friendly and Visually Intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maarten E. | Creatief Strateeg, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I find it great that with Prepr CMS you can easily create, manage, and publish content with a full content team. The user-friendly nature and the attractive appearance of the platform are also plus points for me. Especially the Visual Editing feature is amazing; it allows me to adjust 'live' content and immediately see the result, which saves me a lot of time. The shared media library also proves to be very handy. The initial setup of Prepr CMS was moreover child's play and really very easy, and the longer I work with it, the more cool features I discover.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

In the future, I envision even more AI integrations. For example, for writing or checking copy. But also, for instance, automatically filled alt texts or SEO fields. But I think they are already working on that!

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Prepr CMS for easily creating, managing, and publishing content live with our team. It is user-friendly, and the Visual Editing feature saves time by showing results directly without publishing. The shared media library is convenient.

 ### 11. Freedom and Innovation with Prepr CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max v.

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I really find the A/B testing a wonderful feature of Prepr CMS because we can quickly switch content without using an external service. Additionally, the developer tools are also very cool, especially because we can easily see on the front-end which block we are loading or need to adjust. It makes it easier for us to measure which content works or doesn't work. The initial setup was super simple and we could start right away!

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

It would be really cool if we could set up a standard schedule and use it as a template for multiple projects, so we can start (even) faster. It would also be nice to be able to export (and possibly import) these schedules.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS gives us the freedom to come up with creative concepts without impacting the customer. I appreciate the A/B testing, which allows us to quickly switch content and measure what works. The developer tools are also handy for adjusting the front-end.

 ### 12. Essential for Modern B2B Marketing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jeroen V.

**Reviewed Date:** January 28, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I love Prepr CMS because it bridges the gap between strategy, content, and technology. It is designed with the idea that a website should not be a static business card, but an adaptive marketing tool that evolves with the target audience. The segmentation, personalization, and content structure logically come together without adding unnecessary complexity for marketers and developers. What Prepr really excels at is making personalization practical and scalable, allowing us to quickly build segment-based experiences. Additionally, the headless architecture is a major advantage because it gives our developers maximum freedom while allowing marketers to work wisely with content. It is a platform that makes our vision of modern B2B marketing tangible, is user-friendly, and improves customer relevance and conversion. Finally, the support you get from the team to implement personalization for us and our clients is very valuable. The onboarding from the Prepr team ensured that everything was set up within a day, which I found very easy.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

nothing so far

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS increases relevance for each target audience without complexity. It improves conversions from campaigns, accelerates the time-to-market for new propositions and content, and offers a future-proof solution within a composable tech stack.

 ### 13. Streamlined Content Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexay S. | Senior Software Engineer

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like how efficiently the content workflow is organized in Prepr CMS. It offers flexibility for developers and usability for content editors. I appreciate the AI assistance features, like translations and content optimization. The native support for A/B testing and personalization tools is a great advantage. I also find it straightforward to create and refine content models, and the system is designed in a logical and clear way, making defining components and relationships both intuitive and efficient. The initial setup was super easy, and there is good documentation provided. Additionally, the central storage is helpful for storing content in one place and using it across different apps, and the out-of-the-box integrations with tools to build forms and search functionality are beneficial.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

One area that can be improved in Prepr CMS is the presence of small UI issues. These issues don't block my work, but they can interrupt a configuration done. Sometimes the preview mode doesn't update correctly, and the configuration of conditional fields can disappear.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Prepr CMS for central storage of content, simplifying content management across apps. It offers built-in A/B testing, personalization, and easy content modeling. The flexible workflow helps both developers and editors with AI tools enhancing translations and optimizations.

 ### 14. Clean Interface and Lightweight, But Faces Common CMS Challenges

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jens V. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like Prepr CMS for its nice clear interface and lightweight design. I also appreciate the clean interface and good APIs that make it efficient to use. One of the features I find valuable is the live preview option, which adds to its usability. Additionally, setting up Prepr CMS was easy thanks to the environment they provide, making it simple to create a test environment.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The same things every headless CMS struggles with, like handling routes and redirects.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS offers a clear and lightweight interface, making it easy to build websites. It provides good APIs and a live preview option, simplifying the development process.

 ### 15. User-Friendly CMS with Powerful Personalization

I use Prepr CMS for our R&D project and really like its combination of CMS features with personalization and user-friendliness. The platform assists us in defining a correct content model for our content distribution, which is a huge plus. It's also handy for our content team not only to publish content but to leverage personalization through the cinema interface. Additionally, the initial setup was pretty straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Ni particular things that stand out

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS solves CMS challenges in a composable architecture. It offers a combination of CMS and personalization with user-friendliness, helping us define content models and leverage personalization effectively for content distribution.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

As someone who is inexperienced in headless, it is sometimes still difficult to understand the content model and keep it organized.

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I have set up Prepr CMS with Next.js to create a multi-site with a consistent content structure. It is easy to set up and offers a lot of freedom and control over my content and the construction of pages and blocks. I especially appreciate the ease of use. The layout is neat and organized, and the support is exceptionally good.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Sometimes there are still some bugs, but they handle them quickly.

 ### 18. Very happy front-end developer using Prepr

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jelle v. | Senior front-end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

As a developer, I really appreciate how developer-friendly Prepr CMS is. The API is clean, well-documented, and consistent, which makes integration smooth and predictable. The headless approach gives me flexibility to structure content exactly how I need it, and the GraphQL support makes querying efficient and intuitive. I also like that the platform balances power with usability. Content editors have an easy interface, while developers have the control they need under the hood.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Overall, Prepr CMS works very well, but there are a few areas that could improve. The learning curve for some advanced features (like personalization and content targeting) can feel a bit steep at first. Occasionally, the UI could be a little faster. Also, while the documentation is solid, a few more real-world code examples and best-practice guides would make onboarding even smoother.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS is helping us streamline content delivery across multiple channels without having to maintain separate systems. The headless setup means we can reuse the same content for web and other platforms, which saves a lot of development time. The personalization features also allow us to deliver more relevant experiences to our users, which improves engagement. For me as a developer, having a reliable API and structured content model reduces complexity and speeds up implementation.

 ### 19. Prepr is easy to use and has all of the functionality we need

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom K. | Senior Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I've been using Prepr CMS for a while now. It’s just easy to work with. It didn’t take long to figure things out, and I wasn’t constantly running into annoying stuff that breaks your flow. It does what I need without getting in the way.

There’s a lot of features packed in, which I’ve appreciated. It’s flexible enough for more complex setups, but still simple when it needs to be. Also, it’s been super fast and stable so far. No weird bugs or slowdowns.

Docs are solid too. I’ve looked stuff up a few times and the examples were actually useful, which isn’t always the case with other CMS I've had experience with.

The API is also well documented and works well. It’s clean and made it pretty easy to hook things up with what I was building. The code examples in the docs helped me get started.

Support has been great, and questions have been answered very quickly.

All in all, just a good experience.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

While it's mostly a matter of taste, I think the UI is a bit too big in general. Perhaps some more options to customize the look and feel would be nice in the future.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Making websites quickly.

 ### 20. Works like a charm with a very nice and intuitive layout

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Niels v. | Digital Product Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr is one of the best CMS platforms I’ve worked with. It’s fully headless, which gives our developers all the flexibility they need, but at the same time, it’s super intuitive for content editors. The interface is clean, modern, and easy to use—you can find what you need without digging through menus.

Another big plus is their support. We have a shared Slack channel with the Prepr team, and their responses are incredibly fast—sometimes within a minute. That kind of direct contact really makes a difference. All in all, Prepr feels like a solid, modern CMS built with both tech teams and content teams in mind.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Because Prepr is more modern and flexible than many traditional CMS platforms, we’ve noticed that some clients need a bit more time to get familiar with how it works. The learning curve isn’t steep, but it can take a short adjustment period—especially for users coming from older, more rigid systems.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr solves a few key issues we had with previous CMS platforms like HubSpot and Craft. Unlike HubSpot, Prepr is fully headless, which gives us complete freedom on the front-end and allows us to build fast, modern websites without limitations.

Compared to Craft, Prepr is much more intuitive for content editors and better suited for managing structured content and personalization. It also looks and feels a lot more modern and organized than Craft, which makes it easier for teams to navigate and work efficiently.

 ### 21. Clear and Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vincent S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I find it pleasant that Prepr CMS offers a nice place for the editorial team, which is organized in a clear manner. The support from the team is very nice and it allows for quick adjustments, so small problems are quickly resolved. Prepr has supported us well in setting up advertisements and in the customization of the website. The initial setup went smoothly thanks to good contact with Erwin.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

It would be nice to be able to customize a bit more yourself.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS is a clear place for the editorial team, offers superior support, and quick problem-solving. It has helped us with advertisement and website customization.

 ### 22. Clean, Fast UI and Solid GraphQL—But Stability and Schema-Based CMS Are Missing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Clean interface where i can find everything rather quickly, good Graphql layer.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Sometimes it has stability issues. No schema based CMS (like Sanity) to easily copy schemas to create new website. No version control because of this.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No more backend needed, headless is for me the way forwards to rapid development.

 ### 23. The Headless CMS That Speaks Marketing’s Language

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roman H. | SEO, Human Resources, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I love how easy it was to get started with Prepr CMS — the implementation was smooth and straightforward. The built-in personalization and A/B testing features make it simple to deliver tailored experiences without extra tools. And their customer support is exceptional — quick to respond, knowledgeable, and genuinely helpful.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

At first, it took us a little time to get familiar with the functionality and layout of the new CMS. However, we quickly adapted to the admin panel and soon found it intuitive to use.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS helps us manage and deliver personalized content effortlessly, all from one platform. The built-in personalization and A/B testing tools allow us to tailor content to different audience segments and continuously optimize for better engagement. This has streamlined our workflow, reduced the need for multiple tools, and ultimately improved our conversion rates.

 ### 24. Prepr: a very fast developing CMS that helps us personalizing and A/B testing our website

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Douwe J. T. | Board Member, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Love the way Prepr enables us to build a new website very fast, with personalisation and A/B testing included. What impresses me most is the development of the product. In the first assesment we did, Prepr wasn't among our fist choises because it lacked some functionality we'd love to see, but only six months later we did a new assesment and were surprised to find out Prepr had added that functionality (and more!) to their product.
We also like the feedback we receive to our questions: the Prepr staff is always helpful and fast in their replies.
Implementing has been very easy and we were able to integrate with all the systems we need so far.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

So far, we didn't find any major downsides

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Building a model that's easy to use for our content managers and links to all different systems we use, with A/B testing and personalisation included

 ### 25. Prepr offers a modern platform for managing a headless CMS

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Head of Product, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr offers a modern platform for managing a headless CMS. The thing which made our sales and marketing team choose for Prepr is mainly the A/B testing feature and dynamic personalized content options. During development Prepr offered nice support on the questions our development team had and they were also flexible in helping out on some not so standard requests. The fact that it is a Dutch company is also nice!

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Some things in the pricing model are less nice. The fact that they offer no uptime guarantee in the basic plan is understandable, but a bit weird if you look at it from a tech perspective.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping our sales and marketing department taking ownership of our corporate website.

 ### 26. Developer & Content Editor Friendly!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivo B. | Frontend developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr is user friendly and developer friendly. Their documentation is easy to read and the users (content editors) love it. For development there were some items that needed improvement. Bi-weekly calls with Prepr gave us the time the give feedback, they picked it up pretty fast or let us know when they were going to fix it.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

What we said in the good part, there were some missing elements in Prepr. But after the calls they told us how we can do it in a other way, or they put it on their backlog and fixed it in short time.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gives the content editor the freedom to set up own a/b testing, personalisation and customised content editing. This with a easy look and feel.

 ### 27. Simple and Innovative: Offers Unique Options for Website Creation

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sander K.

**Reviewed Date:** January 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I find Prepr CMS pleasant to work with and it offers great options for A/B testing. I appreciate the way of building in the admin and the fact that it provides options that other CMSs do not have. Moreover, the initial installation was simple.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

It takes some time to learn it

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS is pleasant to work with, offers unique options for A/B testing, and provides options that other CMS do not have.

 ### 28. Build multiple platforms with Prepr as a front-end developer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Justin v. | Front end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr is constantly evolving. During the time we’ve been working with Prepr, numerous updates and improvements have been implemented. What sets them apart is their willingness to engage in meaningful conversations with us and their clients, genuinely listening to feedback and suggestions.

Communication with Prepr is seamless. They respond promptly, and the added benefit of being able to communicate in Dutch is a significant advantage—not only for us but also for our Dutch clients.

We’re very satisfied with the user interface of the application. It’s easy to set up, and our clients consistently mention how intuitive and straightforward it is to navigate.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Currently, Prepr does not yet support the ability to display conditional fields based on previous input. In some situations, this means that unnecessary fields may need to be shown in the CMS, which can negatively impact the user experience.

Segmentation is a key feature of Prepr and works very well and intuitively overall. However, it is not yet possible to segment stack fields within a component. This limitation can occasionally lead to more cumbersome tasks for the development team.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

To start, Prepr is an easy-to-set-up and user-friendly headless CMS that offers a comprehensive suite of features. For us, the decisive factor was the seamlessly implementable segmentation and A/B testing capabilities. These are quick and straightforward to implement for both developers and content managers alike.

 ### 29. Headless CMS with lots of support and rapid development

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc S. | Senior Front-end developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The support that Prepr offers, the speed of new developments, and the freedom you increasingly have as a developer in the CMS.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

As a developer, you have complete freedom in design, but sometimes we still have to make choices about this design because the UI for a content editor can become complex (think of screens within screens if you have many models nested together.)

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr provides the freedom as a headless CMS that other traditional CMSs (e.g., WordPress) do not offer. This allows us to use our own technical stack and determine the IT landscape ourselves. The code is separate from the CMS, with the CMS serving only as a content/data provider.

 ### 30. Versatile SaaS-based CMS with excellent support and adaptive capabilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

What I like best about Prepr CMS is its combination of flexibility and ease of use. The content modeling is intuitive, making it easy to structure content exactly the way we need it. Customer support is excellent — fast, knowledgeable, and always willing to go the extra mile to help resolve issues or answer questions. Their responsiveness gives us confidence that we’re supported, even when working with more complex setups.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Compared to other CMS platforms, Prepr's GUI can feel less intuitive and harder to navigate, especially for new users. It takes some time to get used to the structure and workflow. Compared to other CMS platforms, Prepr is closed source which can be a deal breaker sometimes.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS helps us deliver the ideal content management solution for our clients. Its flexibility allows us to tailor the content model to each client's specific needs. For us, the ease of implementation and strong API support make it easy to integrate Prepr into a wide range of digital products. This accelerates our development process and enables us to offer a scalable, future-proof CMS to our clients.

 ### 31. Clean, modern CMS with powerful APIs and excellent developer experience

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris B. | Backend developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

As a backend developer, what stands out most about Prepr CMS is its well-structured GraphQL API. It gives me precise control over data fetching and makes integration with frontend frameworks (like Next.js or Nuxt) incredibly efficient. The API schema is clean, predictable, and auto-documenting, which reduces the need to dive into external docs constantly. Prepr has excellent uptime and performance, and their support team has been quick to answer questions

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Prepr CMS has a bit of a learning curve, especially if you're new to GraphQL or structured content modeling, but the thorough documentation and API explorer make onboarding much smoother.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS solves the challenge of managing structured, reusable content in a headless architecture. Instead of combining multiple services, I can work with one unified platform that exposes everything through a clean GraphQL API. This simplifies my backend logic, reduces dependencies, and speeds up development.

 ### 32. The single best content management system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin v. | Technical manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The usage of prepr is basically unlimited in use cases. It allows for a dynamic schema of which any single property can be changed to your hearts content. Our content needs barely scratch the surface of what prepr is able to do. we've barely had any issues, and when we did, support is quick and clear with their response.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The dynamic nature of Prepr allows for almost anything you can think of, but also is a pitfall for when you don't know what you want to do. But it's simple enough to overcome these issues with ease.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Content management on a gigantic scale

 ### 33. The cloud CMS we always needed

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Milan L. | Full Stack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The best thing about Prepr is the scaleability. For that one time per year a website gets a complete overhaul in 100 different languages we don't need a super server. It will all be on Prepr's servers

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Because it is a cloud solution it is a little less dynamic, but that is also a work in progress and gets better. And if there is a function missing we are supported very fast in what the best course of action would be.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Definitely scalability and moving CMS server power-responsibility to another party.

 ### 34. Feature-Rich CMS with Built-In A/B Testing and Segmentation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

That it has many features i don't always see in other CMS's. Such as A/B testing and segments

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Since I have been working with it, not much. But whenever I have issue, support is really quick.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it really easy to build simple, but also complex projects

 ### 35. Easy to use, very adaptable, personalized CMS systeem

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liselotte P. | Project Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

How easy it is to develop your pages by drag and drop, very intuitive that even a non-developer like me can make models. Then creating your content is super easy. When implementing the system we gave some feedback to the Prepr team and they really supported us in finding the best solutions and also changed some things to improve the application based on our comments.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

We used the remote source option to integrate with another system, but it didn't support arrays in JSONs, so we were limited in using this option and had to build a workaround directly to the front-end.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A very easy to use, content editor friendly, adaptable system. It is so intuitive that anyone can work with it.

 ### 36. Easy to use and helps me work faster

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristina V. | SMM Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 26, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like that it’s easy to work with even if you’re not an admin / tech person. Creating and updating content is straightforward even if you don't have deep knowledge on how it works

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

At first, it took me a bit of time to get used to the layout and where everything is, but once I did, it felt much easier to use than my previous CMS.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating and editing content feels simple, and I like that I can see right away how it will look.

The personalization and A/B testing are built in, so I don’t need extra tools to try things out or adjust content for different audiences.

 ### 37. Very accessible and user-friendly CMS

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Apparel & Fashion | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Very accessible and user-friendly CMS

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

No specific points. Perhaps more explanation can be given somewhere about what the terms entail.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The freedom for our customers to edit content on any page they choose.

 ### 38. A good CMS to use as developers, which our content-editors like to use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordy F. | Frontend Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 12, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I recently had the opportunity to work with Prepr and I'm impressed with several aspects of this headless content management system.

The customer support truly stands out. When I encountered issues during implementation, their team responded quickly and provided thorough solutions. Unlike many tech support experiences, the representatives were knowledgeable about the product and didn't just follow scripts they've just provided by email. They followed up consistently to ensure my problems were resolved, which made a significant difference in my overall experience.

Another strong feature is the way of exporting data to different environments. What sets it apart is their thoughtful validation tool that tests the export function before execution, checking for any mismatching items or potential issues. This preemptive testing prevents errors and saves significant time that would otherwise be spent troubleshooting failed transfers.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Personally for me, I encountered a few things. I worked with a lot of different CMS tools and a lot of end-users prefers a visual preview on the same page preview, in stead of externals. Also some textual stuff like showing conditional fields are missing, which would make a big impact.

Overall my experience with Prepr and their Support team has been fantastic.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Serving a way of serving a headless CMS environment for multiple websites. By the ease of transferring schemas and data in between, it makes it easy to maintain and grow.

 ### 39. The best headless CMS choice, when content personalization and A/B testing is a top priority

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aatu V. | Head of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I really like how Prepr CMS allows to extensively personalize the user's experience. I haven't come across any other headless CMS that comes even near to this level of built-in content personalization capabilities.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

I have not come across anything that I necessarily dislike about Prepr.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS helps our agency by providing a headless CMS platform, which we can recommend for potential clients that can benefit from having great built-in content personalization and A/B testing capabilities.

 ### 40. Technically advanced CMS with a personal touch

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Yannick H. | Technology Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Does anything you want technically, including a/b testing and personalization, which is a nice bonus for an headless CMS. The direct contact with support and development via Slack is very valuable to us as well. Integration with Algolia is easy to use as well. The new content editor helps the content editors as well in their daily work.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Documentation could be more current and elaborate.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Combining headless CMS with A/B testing and Personalization

 ### 41. Minimalistic CMS with awesome customer / developer service

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim M. | Backend developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The people that work there. Since we have a lot of data and technical complexity in our stack, we often ask Prepr to implement features from our large wishlist, or help us fix a problem that occurs. Especially the latter is super helpful to us. They are always stand-by to solve a problem, and friendly when doing so. Also, I think that Prepr is curious about how their customers use their CMS, in order to improve it - for example, they attended one of our user test days and took the results very seriously.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Currently, the CMS is not as feature-rich as other CMS products, like Directus or Strapi. This could be a problem for bigger and technical complex projects. Also, it sometimes feels as if the fundamentals of the Prepr architecture are directing more towards a website publishing system than a "pure" headless CMS that is able to serve multiple platforms at once - for example by leaving out the separation of data and view in their model structure

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is going to replace our outdated and very headfull CMS. Prepr is much cleaner and easier to use for our editors. We hope that editors will spend less time doing boilerplate kind-of-work such as tweaking an article with the right colors, and more time on writing an actual article.

 ### 42. The CMS that fuels your content effort

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olga P. | Brand Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

I like its flexibility and the AI featured that allow to support website in different languages without having to spend too much time on translations.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The only thing that comes to my mind is that there's no "Preview" feature.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr helps us manage our multi-language website in an efficient way.

 ### 43. Prepr is a modern, user friendly CMS with interesting optimization tools

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marten J. | Technical Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

User friendly interface
Good team, quick support
Good performance
Good documentation
Good integration with Next.js (SDK provided)
Git integration

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Limited control over UI for development
No structuring in content types
Git integration is a bit clunky

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need a good headless CMS to accompany the applications we deliver to our clients

 ### 44. Great partner to work together with

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

We have worked together on client(s) and the communication was great, we could quickly provide the customer with the right solution and work towards a partnership for the long term. Their tech team is also great and aid with the correct implementation of the application and their support is great.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Nothing, they are great and think along with you about the best solution for the case.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prepr CMS is aiding me in providing the correct solution for our customers, with personalization at their core providing the visitors with the right content is key.

 ### 45. Glad to work with a platform that doesn’t just listen but also acts on user requests.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria K. | Senior Content Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

We’ve used several CMSs in our company, so I have something to compare. Prepr takes user convenience and requests very seriously, genuinely listens, and responds to feedback. This is a crucial quality that many other products lack. We can see the product growing right before our eyes, and that’s fantastic. The platform is intuitive and easy for everyone to use.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Issues and bugs are resolved fairly quickly, though there’s still room to add more customization options.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily content tasks are handled smoothly.

 ### 46. Easy to use CMS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 18, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

The interface is easy to understand and I can make changes to our site very quickly. Using A/B testing on pages directly from the CMS helps us to test pages on a more daily basis. The support team is great.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Adding ALT tags to images is currently only possible one by one.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've got Prepr with our new website. It's very quick and easy to work with. I really like the A/B testing that is built in.

 ### 47. My review of PreprCMS as a backend for headless

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Boris D. | Fullstack Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

Currently I feel like PreprCMS works precisely how I want it to work, and features I am missing are usually quickly added when talked about.
I worked with other CMS's and apart from some specific I find the workflow intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

Initially some features that I personally found standard were missing, but it shines when it comes to unique features.

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Large content management. No need to update the CMS manually (saas).
A/b testing out of the box and extensive segment management.

 ### 48. Flexible headless CMS with a good UI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rico J. | Software Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2025

**What do you like best about Prepr CMS?**

It is flexible and provides a good UI for editors.

**What do you dislike about Prepr CMS?**

The query capabilities could be more expansive

**What problems is Prepr CMS solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It relieves us from maintaining and developing a CMS. Instead we can focus on application development.

 ### 49. Excellent Personalization and A/B Testing
