While PowerSchool SIS may not be the most intuitive system to learn at first, its depth of features and integrations make it an incredibly powerful tool once you begin to tap into its capabilities. Over time, we’ve discovered just how seamlessly it connects with other platforms we use daily—such as Finalsite, Edlio, and Clever—streamlining many aspects of our school’s operations.

In the last two years, we’ve fully embraced its inventory system, which has become an essential part of managing our technology resources. The built-in sample reports have also been invaluable, serving as a model for how we communicate with parents this year.

One standout for us has been the integration with MBA Add-Ons, which truly opened our eyes to features and efficiencies within PowerSchool that we hadn’t realized were possible. This combination has helped us unlock an entirely new level of functionality.

Lastly, the customer service deserves recognition—they are responsive, persistent, and committed to resolving any issues until we’re completely satisfied.

My biggest challenge with PowerSchool is its complexity. While the system is powerful, it can be difficult to figure out how to complete certain tasks or pinpoint the source of an issue. I love that I am able to use Powerschool as my primary grading LMS. Students can get all of their grades in one location. Grades from the Canvas LMS are synched and easily transferred into PowerSchool which saves me a step. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

PowerSchool is highly customizable. I can quickly add custom field that allows me to track special fields for my international school settings. Nothing, from the platform - which we are moving on from - to the terrible customer service - I would never recommend working with this company unless you need to save your job or life - even then, you are not in good hands. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The service is god awful - it takes weeks to get a response if you need to change anything about your contract. They are unhelpful or unwilling to help. They don't escalate customer issues appropriately and it seems like I have 3 different account reps - but only one of themcan help me. The emails she sends me are either auto-generated or she misspells common English phrases and misassociates most of my SCHOOL references with something else..Their reps don't care to understand the tax rate setting process or the fact that tax dollars are being spent on their products. They carefully sculpt each deal to scalp your local school district and refuse to negotiate.

WELL, THAT COULD CHANGE, CONSIDERING THERE ARE SERIOUS COMPETITORS NOW - MAYBE POWERSCHOOL SHOULD RESEARCH WHAT SCHOOLS NEED AND WORK WITH THEM.
