Powerchart makes charting easy and simple. **What do you dislike about PowerChart Touch?** Some aspects are not UX friendly, such as the variety of tabs at the top of the screen. This app would be improved by having options for sending chat messages instead of email like messages. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChart Touch:** Note that its main functionality is based on collaborative care and ease of access. **What problems is PowerChart Touch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Powerchart makes it simple to access records quickly and holistically. Progress notes are collaborative and make caring for the patient more team friendly. Additionally, powerchart has enabled me to collaborate more with other providers through the message center. ### 3. This application allows me to stay current with the latest updates when rounding. It is well-organized and easy to use. It doesn't try to mimic the computer/desktop version of the chart, but it offers the information I need in an organized, well-thought-out design. It is helpful for me so that I can be helpful for my patients. **What do you dislike about PowerChart Touch?** I dislike that sometimes the layout can be a little confusing based on what I'm used to seeing in the desktop version of the chart. I can sometimes get lost or click on the wrong tab. This isn't that bad of a flaw because it is something you become familiar with as you use the application more frequently. I believe the only other complaint would be that it can lag and this can be extremely frustrating especially during rounding when you need instant access to patient information. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChart Touch:** I would recommend spending some time on YouTube learning from tutorials other than the basic set-up guide upon opening the application. It will allow you learn the shortcuts to improve your productivity. **What problems is PowerChart Touch solving and how is that benefiting you?** I am able to provide more accurate, up-to-date information to my patients, care team, and other providers. It improves communication and efficiency with patient interactions. It also helps me to keep charts and documentation current. This is vital as it helps me do more for my patients and less in administrative tasks. Doing so allows me to be a better healthcare provider. ### 4. Allowed for multiple employees to access information on patients at any given moment or time and submit documentation in a timely manner. I used this EMR at my fieldwork for school and became highly familiar with it in a short amount of time. I highly recommend it. **What do you dislike about PowerChart Touch?** At this time, there is nothing that I did not like about using the software. It was very easy to use and accessible. It was highly organized and made it easy for the user, like myself, to go in and edit/modify any changes that I needed to make. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChart Touch:** Check to see if your employer provides training to use the electronic medical record. **What problems is PowerChart Touch solving and how is that benefiting you?** There were no issues or problems when using the software. At times, it would freeze but it was more so a system issue rather than a PowerChart issue. ### 5. Unlike having to use other larger portable devices, PowerChart Touch allows me to have patient charts literally at the tip of my fingertip on my tablet. It allows for easy viewing of documentation, results, etc. Most importantly, it allows for more time spent with patients instead of rushing in and out. It’s essential for modern medicine. **What do you dislike about PowerChart Touch?** Since the application is on such a smaller device, I believe the data can be overwhelming and causes slow speeds and lagging. **What problems is PowerChart Touch solving and how is that benefiting you?** It increases the time spent with patients since real-time charting and viewing documentation can take place all in one setting. ### 6. The patient portal between providers makes viewing notes great for large university systems. **What do you dislike about PowerChart Touch?** Slow to load at times. Unclear to generate reports. **What problems is PowerChart Touch solving and how is that benefiting you?** Setting up templates can be time consuming and cumbersome. It takes effort to contact support to implement workflows that are beneficial to patient care. We can't send intake paperwork to auto populate in their chart but rely on front desk. ### 7. It sends you reminders before closing out of a chart to save your work, so you never have to start over again. **What do you dislike about PowerChart Touch?** I dislike how much downtime PowerChart has (at least once weekly for a few hours). Also, there are some pre-entered options that I am unable to change or enter my own text, which sometimes makes it difficult to chart accurately. **Recommendations to others considering PowerChart Touch:** I have no advice, I find the product to be fairly straightforward and easy to use. **What problems is PowerChart Touch solving and how is that benefiting you?** The benefits have been that it saves countless hours on charting on patients. It collects patient information, photos, documents from other departments and doctors notes all in one place and makes them easily accessible. ### 10. Instead, you have to save your note/assessment, find the info, then reopen and modify the note/assessment.
