It has a lot of tools to sort and visualize different project attributes and store relevant information about each one. It is very visual and you can see how your roadmap looks like at a glance. It is also a very good tool for sharing the project planning with all the relevant stakeholders and also manage the resources linked to them. 100% recommendable! **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** I have been using it for one year and I have not found any issue so far. **Recommendations to others considering Portfoleon:** It is the perfect tool if you are struggling with PowerPoint or similar tools where you lose track of the last version, and also when you need to update your stakeholders very often about your pipeline status. **What problems is Portfoleon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Now there is a common place where all my project plans are updated and any stakeholder can see them at a glance any time, ensuring they are looking at the latest version. Also for myself, I can see very clearly what is coming in the upcoming months and how my resources will be organized. ### 2. The funnel from product idea, over market testing, product development and launch is captured in Portfoleon. The tool is quite flexible, and you can set it up and use it in many ways. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** The flexibility is a strength, but also requires someone to manage how it is being used. If you have good agreements across teams how it is to be used, and how not, it is very powerful. At Materialise we have given this sufficient attention, and it works great for us. **Recommendations to others considering Portfoleon:** Make sure you align everyone on how Portfoleon should be used. As all tools, it is powerful when managed correctly. **What problems is Portfoleon solving and how is that benefiting you?** We want from individual projects without decent resource management, to one project overview and a view on whether we actually have the manpower in house to take on certain projects at the same time. Also, we spot conflicts way earlier, avoiding projects missing deadlines or deadlines being pushed out without anyone noticing. ### 3. Nice and pretty overview of projects Easy editing in spreadsheet and roadmap views. Easy user administration and single sign on Custom fields. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** Takes some getting used to, however with the training materials available - it took about 30 minutes to understand it . Still not using the full potential - need to leverage using the "resources". No integration to existing tools (to my knowledge) **What problems is Portfoleon solving and how is that benefiting you?** We had a problem of a ton of PowerPoint presentations with project roadmaps all in different formats and having to update them was a challenge. Currently we can review projects in portfoleon, add status reprots, change deadlines with few clicks and everyone always have the latest information at hand. In my previous experience project managers were demotivated, because they used project managers tool, but business stakeholders requires additional presentations. With Portfoleon tool, all stakeholder can easy access any dimension of information in few clicks. ### 5. Good support provided as well. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** Nothing to really dislake, software has much more capabilities than we use for now, so further exploration required. **Recommendations to others considering Portfoleon:** It requires some understanding phase but once you have given it a try and get used with it, it becomes a natural and daily embedded task. It provides soo much capabilities that the discovering phase is fun but also inspiring you to do more, try more, apply more. **What problems is Portfoleon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Internal project prioritization and resources allocation. The tool is visuallly very strong and helps to create clarity and transparency during meetings. Portfoleon is the one truth for our project year plans and individual project follow-up. Thanks to the smart pivot tables and overviews reporting on progress to management can be done. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** Saving of pivot tables is not implemented, which makes it cumbersome to each time generate the required overview. **What problems is Portfoleon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Visual overview and one truth for all our projects. ### 9. Now that everyone makes use of the tool, it has become much easier to see how your own projects align to those of other people and groups and where you might have dependencies that need to be resolved. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** Small changes could be made to improve the ease of use, like automatically aligning the duration of your project to the cumulative duration of its phases, but it is reassuring to see that improvements are continuously being made. **What problems is Portfoleon solving and how is that benefiting you?** Project dependencies can be identified much more easily and it has become simpler to keep your colleagues informed about the progress of your projects and keep track of projects on whose outcome you rely. ### 10. It allows you and your stakeholders to quickly identify bottlenecks and project risks, and engage in meaningful discussions to resolve them. Portfoleon is actively being developed and frequently brings customer-centric updates. Leaving suggestions for future updates is a breeze. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** When there are a lot of projects, it is not possible to zoom-out to fit all of them on screen and/or take screenshots for use in presentations. With the smooth creation of personalised views, the adoptation by the key users went very fluently. **What do you dislike about Portfoleon?** as a read only user, you tend to get lost in the different boards and views. The use of different colors is nice, but the legends of the used colors are not easily accessible.
