"Great Google Analytics alternative"

4.5/5

What do you like best about Piwik PRO?

- Option of hosting your data on Swedish cloud service ElastX

- Easy to use, especially if you're used to Google Analytics 3

- Very professional customer support Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?

I'm hoping for even more tools in their suite moving forward. Such as A/B-testing or built in survey tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Piwik PRO solving and how is that benefiting you?

Piwik PRO is a European web analytics tool with the option of European hosting. From a GDPR perspective, this is very valuable. It is also solving the need for being a user friendly tool. If you're used to GA3, you will quickly feel at home with Piwik PRO. They also offer a solid SLA with uptime guarantees and support hours for Enterprise customers. "My go-to tracking tool"

5/5

What do you like best about Piwik PRO?

One of the best things about Piwik Pro is that it's EU based. No support to Trump & America. Plus I feel much more safe about the data security. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?

I need a much more simple dashboard in the beginning. I always build one myself for my clients.

Tracking cross domain is not working and I can't get any support solving the issues. That needs to be fixed ASAP. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

4.5/5

Integrations and goals are not so easy to handle for me as a writer with low programming know-how. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Piwik PRO is very useful"

5/5

What do you like best about Piwik PRO?

The tool's ability to extract precise data on user behavior on our website, know the time spent on each page, and especially the sequences of clicks, allows us to subsequently review the interface to facilitate the use of the site. And especially the statistics provided. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?

Some interfaces, like the visitor section, which is sometimes a bit messy for my taste, but by using it frequently, one understands the interest of all the information there. Perhaps explaining the statistics better would be a solution? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Piwik PRO solving and how is that benefiting you?

better adapt the keywords according to user searches and also allow for better ranking in natural referencing. Know the times when visits are at their maximum and minimum to adapt communication campaigns at the right moment. The same goes for flash sales. Know the customers' searches before their purchases as well... Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"It has a lot of potential to grab Google Analytics users but still has a long way to go."

3.5/5

What do you like best about Piwik PRO?

It is very similar to Google Universal Analytics in terms of dashboards and data model. That makes for a quick transition.

It has cool features like Abandoned Cart and anonymous tracking and also app tracking.

It is very GDPR compliance focused. If you have a simple business to track, go for it! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?

- Its tag manager is still far from GTM, so I did the entire setup of PiwikPro Analytics using GTM.

- Google Analytics 4 allows to choose default attribution model, while PiwikPro does not. You are stuck with Last Click Attribution which can mess your metrics vs Last non direct click or data-driven in Google Analytics 4.

- Limited Ecommerce tracking (no product and promo impressions, checkout, payment, remove from cart, wishlist,...) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Slowly but surely becoming a good alternative"

4/5

What do you like best about Piwik PRO?

The ease of use, simple but clear screens. The all in one package with tag manager, consent management and analytics with a much better privacy friendly design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Piwik PRO?

There are still some things not possible like a few missing tags/triggers. But also the 'secondary dimension' is not working as fine as I would expect yet. Also I would like a more progressive pricing plan with more smaller steps, so you can ease in more easily into Piwik Pro. Also It would be nice to do upgrades on site level instead of account level. So site A can stay on the core plan and a other can go onto a paid plan within the same account. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
