## Pitchbox Reviews
  ### 1. Pitchbox is the gold standard for link outreach platforms

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephan S. | SEO Expert, Author, and Speaker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

The functionality for prospecting, backfilling, workflow management, pipeline reporting

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

It's an enterprise tool not suitable for mom & pops or unfunded startups

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

No other outreach tool compares to Pitchbox. Just ask any of the big link building agencies what tool they are using. They will all say Pitchbox.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling our link outreach, not having to juggle boatloads of email accounts for our link outreach team, not having to send each outreach email individually from a gmail account.

  ### 2. Seamless, easy to use, and efficient

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox has a great user experience allowing for clear progress flows, reminders, and tips to manage multiple outreach campaigns simultaneously.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is occasionally slow to load and stalls at times requiring a quick page refresh.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pitchbox is great at automating outreach campaigns therefore minimizing any opportunities that may fall through the cracks.

  ### 4. 3rd company that I have decided to use Pitchbox at

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** logan f. | Content Marketing , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

This tool is the perfect tool for guest posting for these reasons:
-It is very cost-effective
-automates everything you need/want
-discovers both emails and contact names

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is great but there are some downsides:
-you have to pay upfront for an entire year
- no way to set custom milestones
-some of the menus are clunky and could be streamlined.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We mainly use pitchbox to automate our guest post outreach and keep tabs on the data our outreach team is collecting. We use guest posting to help increase our organic growth

  ### 5. Awesome product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anahit M. | Digital Marketing SPecialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

It is a wonderful tool to keep your outreach campaign organized and which is more important to have a reliable tool for emailing, which isn't going to spam folder.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

They are adding new features and type of campaigns, which are performing not very well and which isn't very useful

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreaching to influencers, using it as a tool for our company's digital PR.
It's incredibly useful.

  ### 6. Completely revolutionized our link-building process!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jack K. | Digital Marketing Account Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Automated contact gathering based on keywords was a huge plus for us. Additionally, its integration with Moz and other tools is super usfeul. I honestly love everything about Pitchbox! Being able to track all of our wins in Pitchbox, win details, campaign metrics, project metrics, outreach metrics, and more have been fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

There's a couple of features that would just make using Pitchbox a little bit easier. The biggest thing would be the ability to set daily email outreach limits for PROJECTS as well as campaigns. Sometimes we'll have a few hundred emails in the outbox and are running dozens of campaigns for a client, so the easiest way to do it now is to pause outreach once we hit x number of emails in a day, but we'd love to be able to just set the project limit at 115 emails per day for example.

Lastly, it would be nice to forward emails with opportunities to any email address. Sometimes we want to forward these emails to our clients, but currently if we wanted to do that in Pitchbox we'd have to add them as a contact for the opportunity in order to be able to send them an email, but that obviously causes many problems going forward because every email from them then gets attributed to that opportunity.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved our bounce rate problem. This happened pretty much off the bat. We've automated contact gathering which has saved an enourmous amount of time and money. This has caused our response rates to go through the roof and are seeing many wins for our client. Before we were struggling to get 8-10 links a month and now we're getting 13-14 regularly.

  ### 7. The best all-in-one outreach tool for agencies

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura S. | Head of Outreach, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

The ability to prospect, inspect, personalise, craft templates, launch outreach and conduct communications all from the same platform is the main benefit of Pitchbox. Plus, the platform keeps adapting with outreachers' needed, for example, the recent implementation of Chasebox.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

If you do not look after your data, contacts and sites in the system can become easily muddled and there is a high risk of reaching out to the same people twice.

In addition, Pitchbox does not show email open rates. While there are some pros to this -- such as it reduces the spam scores -- it's difficult to form a more accurate conclusion as to why someone didn't reply to your email, for example.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach at scale is possible thanks to the different campaign types. We have the ability to build our own lists manually and upload them, but we can also use a range of Pitchbox's bespoke keyword-focused campaigns which widens the outreach scope. For example, through Pitchbox, we can conduct standard blogger outreach, product review campaigns, category-focused campaigns, round-ups -- the list goes on!

The advanced personalisation functions of email templates is also a particular favourite. This functionality means that while almost every outreach email is a template, they will all be personalised to the tee. With Pitchbox, we can conduct meaningful outreach at scale.

  ### 8. Excellent piece of software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is a marketing automation leader in the market. The capability of this software is phenomenal. Very simple to use; I was impressed with the user experience when I first started using it. The amount of successful outreach that I have done within the last 3 months with Pitchbox would have taken me 8 months to do without the software. The team behind Pitchbox is also very responsive and always implementing new features.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Might be tricky at first for someone who is computer illiterate.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software helps me save time by automating my email outreach campaigns.

  ### 9. My favorite content marketing software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eliza N. | Co Founder/COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is hands down the best content marketing software out there for agencies and small teams alike. It really helps streamline the email outreach process through the carefully organized campaigns, and processes of inspecting, prospect, and outreach. It also offers amazing reporting tools to check progress and track the efficacy of campaigns.

My favorite part of Pitchbox is Link Monitoring. It's such an easy interface to keep real time analytics on the links you're getting, instead of having to switch back to your usual SEO software.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Hard to say...I wish the integrations with SemRush and Ahrefs were more robust.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

There is a learning curve for Pitchbox. It is a very carefully curated and sophisticated machine. That being said, allow yourself the time to get used to the software. Once you do, it's like everything will click. A light will turn on and your entire linkbuilding/content marketing practice will be streamlined, once you fully integrate into Pitchbox.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I solve a lot of outreach and content marketing problems. Pitchbox allows me to safely scale successful campaigns, and it has the security mechanisms in place to prevent spamming, over-emailing, etc.

  ### 10. Expensive but worth it (if you value your time)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew H. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

I learned link building with a number of platforms cobbled together. That's fine if you're just starting out or have a low budget, but it was clunkly.

Why I love Pitchbox:
- Multiple tools in one platform
- Service is the bomb (shoutout to Kevin)
- Look for opportunities, get emails, and personalize in one workflow

Another thing to note is they make you test drive the product for a month. Their motto is that they only want happy clients, so this weeds out anyone who can't use the platform properly or won't be happy with it. I was kind of annoyed at first, but really appreciated that they'd take the time to make sure I would actually use and enjoy the product.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Price: Pitchbox is expensive (I pay $500 per month), so it's best for established marketers. It doesn't make sense if you're not going to use it.
Load Time: I also think the opportunity previews are a bit slow to load, and can be hard to look through. But my solution is to open the site in a new window if I need to examine more. This is a minor complaint, and I'm only listing to make this a balanced review.
Contract: It's a 1 year contract, so pre-fund your marketing budget. They do give you a mandatory month-long test drive to ensure you like the product, which gives you the opportunity to make sure you like the product.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Really, Pitchbox helps you find and connect with online marketers. With their pre-built templates (and opportunities to save existing templates), you can comb through and find link building opportunities. Instead of using Hutner, Mailshake, and Google Docs, you're bringing the multi-step workflow into one tool. So you never actually have to leave the platform from the time you start prospecting until you earn the link.

  ### 11. An absolute powerhouse for outreach and link building

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Itamar B. | SEO Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Their tool is superb at finding the right prospects regarding outreach for any link-building campaign. The functionality to set up chosen keywords to target, finding relevant websites along with the relevant contact details, as well as the ease of scheduling tailored emails makes this tool superior in what it can accomplish.

I have built numerous powerful links for different websites using Pitchbox. There is honestly no better player in the market for outreach and comprehensive link-building that generates positive results consistently.

They are also continuing to add new features to improve their tool, and they genuinely care about their customers and what they think.

I still use and will continue to use Pitchbox. It is the ultimate software for building quality backlinks and creating meaningful relationships with people in my niche.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

It can take a bit of time to familiarise myself with the platform. Still, I had a very informative introductory demo with one of the team members that gave me lots of ideas regarding my campaigns.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

It's the best tool for outreach and link-building—nothing else to say.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pitchbox helps me find relevant prospects to reach out to for my link-building campaigns and automatically sorts out the email scheduling and pipeline activity always to see where each opportunity is in terms of the milestone of the campaign.

  ### 12. Great Outreaching and Link Building Tool

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jon H. | Content Outreach Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

The comprehensive nature of Pitchbox. Having everything housed in one tool is amazing - I can prospect, scrape contact info, manage email campaigns and generate reports without having to bounce between a bunch of different software. The contact information scraping from websites is valuable because I do not have to utilize other tools to do this.
I also like that I can manage my emails directly within the software without having to log into my ESP accounts.
Also, the reports that can be exported are really handy for showcasing progress to internal stakeholders - I like being able to look at month-over-month and week-over-week results.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

I think the CRM aspect could be improved. Managing opportunities and contacts doesn't seem as intuitive or user friendly as other CRM tools. That being said, Pitchbox is more of a hybrid solution and this is a component that could be enhanced.
I also find that, while personalizing prospects, the contacts for opportunities can sometimes include unrelated emails and contact information for people that are not affiliated with the particular website. This is not to burdensome, but it requires extra work to clear these contacts out in order to ensure the automatic outreach system doesn't email them.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

If you're seeking a comprehensive outreaching tool, Pitchbox provides an incredibly holistic solution that streamlines every stage of the workflow. You can do everything required for outreaching inside of Pitchbox - prospect opportunities, customize email templates, source contact info, manage outreach campaigns, generate progress reports. The tool has been amazing for helping us build and scale an internal outreaching process.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pitchbox is solving our "scalability" problems with outreaching and link building. The benefits of using it really stem from having every stage of the outreach process housed in one tool - this streamlines our efforts and makes us less dependent on having a solution stack.

  ### 13. Brilliant Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan J. | SEO and Marketing Executive, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

I love the fact you are able to pull a large number of websites and email addresses to submit to relatively easily and in almost no time at all! This is great for conducting lots of outreach quickly, something SEOs really need! With the typical outreach campaign having a 1-2% conversion rate typically, it is imperative we are able to outreach to lots of people in a short space of time. Pitchbox achieves that really easily.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Sometimes, the navigation of the site is not great and it is hard to know where you need to go to get to the next stage of your outreach program.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving a number of problems with Pitchbox. Firstly, Pitchbox pulls through websites and email addresses for you, so we are able to save a lot of time that way. Secondly, with replies being pulled into the software itself, we are able to keep our inboxes clean and organised.

  ### 14. Thanks to Pitchbox, we’ve been able to 10x our Link Building

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexandra T. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox allows us to manage all our processes in one place. I have to say that when I hear “let’s create a spreadsheet,” it makes me cringe -- but that’s how we were operating before we moved all our link-building processes to Pitchbox. Now our team (six full-time link builders) doesn’t need to ask each time whether this or that site has already been reached out to or what kind of communication we’ve previously had with them.

So, the best things about Pitchbox are:

1. You see what each team member is doing, so there’s zero chance that two members of our team will reach out to the same contacts. Pitchbox won’t allow them to make that mistake.

2. There’s no need to ask what’s going on with a particular campaign; you open Pitchbox and review everything in one place.

3. You can set up KPIs not only on the number of links that each team member needs to build but also on each stage of the link-building workflow.

4. You can clearly see where your funnel is leaking, and as a result, you can adjust your processes and workflow accordingly.

5. If your clients or collaborators need evidence of your work, you can easily show off with Pitchbox’s many different reports.

6. Our team is cross-functional and Pitchbox’s group SEO Inbox setup allows for multiple team members to handle communication across different email accounts. This means my agency operates faster and more efficiently than before, even when someone is on holiday or needs backup.

7. Finally, Pitchbox allows us to assign different roles and levels of access. On top of that, data from Ahrefs, Moz, and other top SEO data providers are all integrated into this amazing tool.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

It’s not a dislike but rather a wishlist. First, I would love to have some kind of LinkedIn integration. Also, it would be great to set up additional steps to campaign workflow stages since we start our outreach process with LinkedIn, not email. That said, our approach to link building is unique, so we are not following a typical email outreach workflow.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pitchbox allows us to manage all link-building (read: agency) processes in one place. I have to say that before we moved to Pitchbox, our biggest struggle was making sure our team members were not overlapping each other when we were launching a new outreach campaign. Now, we don't have to worry about that.

Also, as a business owner, I have a crystal clear understanding of our whole team's efficiency every day (in addition to each team member's performance individually), and that's all thanks to Pitchbox.

  ### 15. The only way to do link building at scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris R. | Marketing Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

While there are several tools on the market for outreach, Pitchbox is the only one that is built from the ground up specifically for link building instead of having link building tacked on as an afterthought to sales. The metrics integration for filtering and the prospecting workflows are amazing and save us a ton of time vs other tools or spreadsheets. We also appreciate the robust reporting, both for the ability to show our clients the activity that went into their campaign, as well as tracking team member effectiveness to identify top performers or who might need additional training.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

The pricing is definitely not for everyone, but if you run an agency, or have a large inhouse team, it easily pays for itself.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Really this tool is the only choice if you are doing link building at any sort of scale. It will work even better if you can hook it up to metric providers like ahrefs, majestic, et cetera. They also have integrations with slack and Zapier so you can set up alerts or integrate it with your own reporting dashboards.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main thing Pitchbox helps us with is achieving scale without sacrificing quality. When you are building hundreds or thousands of links per month, reviewing all the sites to ensure they are the sort of place you actually want a link from takes a lot of work. Finding contacts, managing follow ups, it all adds up. Pitchbox allows us to segment the work assembly-line style and manage it at scale. This allows us to do more with fewer people, ultimately saving us both time and money.

  ### 16. Linkbuilding? Pitchbox rocks!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dayen C. | Search Engine Optimization Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is very user-friendly. It's easy to understand, easy to navigate, and has a lot of automation that makes your life and work as a link builder so easy. What I also like about Pitchbox is how it is associated with other business tools like ClickUp, for organizing tasks and slack for company communication. But most of all, I really love the way they programmed the inbox, the system and innovation are so great. You won't ever miss an email from your prospects. You can easily track the conversations, put a tag or a reminder for every email. It has a feature where it automatically updates and sends 3 emails to your prospects. Amazing, right?!

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Doing inbox management before was tiring, now that your team recently added the chase box? OMG! My life was so much easier. Also, there are a lot of formulations you can use and type on the search bar to make your life in inspecting and personalizing easier. Basically, I don't have anything that I dislike about Pitchbox. I love everything!!

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helped my employer to do the job easier. As an employee who does all of the inspecting, personalizing, and outreaching.. Pitchbox basically saved me a lot of time and stress.

  ### 17. PitchBox is a Revolutionary LinkBuilding Platform

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Valerie T. | Team Leader — LinkBuilder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

I like the ability to see the whole process. Having to see the flow of the outreach process is clear and concise.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Maybe add more filters when searching for contacts. Also, PitchBox is only great for LinkBuilding agencies handling multiple projects but not end-user friendly. It is a very expensive tool that working with only 1 project or website can be taxing. I certainly hope they will launch a plan that caters to end users similar to BuzzStream/Mailshake.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

I recommend LinkBuilding agencies to use PitchBox. It's an all in one tool that makes your outreach flow very easy. However, I do not recommend using PitchBox if you are only handling one project as it is very expensive. There are other great tools specifically aimed at end user outreach but not PitchBox. I do wish they will launch a plan that caters to end-users.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So far so good. No problems that need resolution.

  ### 18. Hands Down the Best Outreach Suite on the Market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Garrett G. | Head of Account Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

The work that the Pitchbox team does behind the scenes is amazing. Most people using Pitchbox love it for the interface alone (which I do too, of course!), but the technical facets of this software are so amazing that we abandoned our own outreach software, that we built in house, as Pitchbox has all the bases covered, and continue to add new features making our life easy!

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

I can't say there is anything I dislike enough about the tool to mention. Pitchbox already has more features than any tool on the market, and the few features they don't have they are working on implementing.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Their team has taken all the headaches out of the technical side of outreach for us - something that most people don't even concern themselves with, or even know about. Its a huge weight off my shoulders not having to manage my own mailing servers, and all the trouble that comes along with that.

  ### 19. A Godsend. Couldn't do what we do without it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** AJ S. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Thoughtfully created to streamline our workflow and processes to save time and increase results. We use Pitchbox everyday and it's at the core of our business. I don't think we could go back to not using Pitchbox for Link Building. Everything is clearly organized and allows us to automate a lot of the process but there's also an incredible amount of customization available. Also, when we talk about email deliverability, there's so much that Pitchbox does behind the scenes that that alone is worth it.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Nothing to complain about, honestly. They're constantly implementing new features.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving scaling issues and just about everything at the project management level. Benefits of using PitchBox are increased email deliverability.

  ### 20. Excellent Outreach Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dimitry M. | Owner

**Reviewed Date:** August 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Ability to find prospects easily and effectively as well as creating a process (already built in) for anyone to help run the campaigns for me.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

The downside of Pitchbox is that building the email forms can seem daunting, BUT the support team is always there to help.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of writing and tracking thousands of emails I can easily keep track of my campaigns in one simple easy to use inbox. Saves SO much time with regard to organization.

  ### 21. Pitchbox is a outreach teams dream software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kiara F. | Outreach Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox has allowed us to set up and manage multiple campaigns with ease. From start to finish, you are able to customize, organize, and report every little detail in the process. Our team loves that we can personalize a unique campaign for each of our clients.

The customer service team is very responsive and polite. If you were to ever have a question, someone is there to help you get through it. Pitchbox has helped our outreach team grow extensively and I would highly recommend this platform to anyone in the marketing industry.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

The follow-up emails do not send in the same email thread as the initial message. This can be confusing to prospects that may have missed your first email.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Take the leap! Pitchbox has allowed us to scale our outreach process whilst maintaining the quality of the links we provide to our clients. It is easy to use and the customer success managers are always there to help!

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Pitchbox we are able to automate our outreach emails. It saves us so much time by having a personalized template set, and emails set to send automatically.

  ### 22. Awesome link building CRM for teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus C. | Search Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is essentially a full CRM/management platform for your link building efforts, what we love about it is that we can run our whole link building process from within pitchbox and that the entire process is streamlined.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Honestly, there is nothing we dislike about pitchbox. The team are super responsive and in those instances that we found something we disliked the team generally resolved it within 1-2 days.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Gives us scale, and a framework to build our team around.
Helps the team work collaboratively.
Keeps everything tracked within our own CRM.
Enables us to track KPIs and pull reports on what is and isn't working.

  ### 23. Solid foundation - could use some additional features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

The dashboards and at a glance updates across a variety of projects are extremely helpful. Would love to see more custom dashboarding available, potentially for client-facing.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Pulling reports across projects can be very time-consuming. Automating custom reports would be helpful. Working with the API may be able to help alleviate some of our challenges, but that takes money and developer time to implement.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Use the pitchbox team to get your processes established if you don't already have them in place!

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email organization and management, checking response rates, informing the team on the status of live links across all clients. Communication between team members has also improved.

  ### 24. Exceptional service, wonderful staff

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cameron B. | L, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

The support team is some of the nicest people I've come across in my career. So helpful, so friendly.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Very little! It is a fantastic platform. The only issue I faced was outbox blockages, but this was due to the considerable amount of staff members using it.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

The fact that it's an all-in-one tool that allows you to discover opportunities for outreach, manage all said outreach opportunities in their CRM, generate reports to track progress, connect with other tools for automation, and more. Without this tool, we'd be using a combination of 5 other to tools to get the same job done.

There are so many different options for different types of lead searches, variety is a good thing.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

It's a little complex? You definitely need to educate yourself and how to take best advantage of it. Thankfully there is tons of content that will help you with all your questions.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Finding leads to link build on new sites. Pitchbox really helps your outreach email seem at least some what personalized rather than a mass e-mail that is being sent to everyone.

  ### 38. Makes my job easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Megan W. | Community Outreach Associate , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2019

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox is extremely helpful for prospecting opportunities. They give you hundreds of opportunities to look through based on keywords. It used to take me half my week to find the right blogs to pitch to, now it takes seconds.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

There are certain things you can't go back and do after you create a campaign. For example, you can't go back to make the campaign recurring. Also, while the software is easy to use, the layout could use an update. I'd also like to see a mobile app. That would make sending emails so much easier.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to focus on writing personal emails. From those personal emails, I can then build relationships with blog editors and owners.

  ### 39. Personalized outreach in an large market demands Pitchbox

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Olivia O. | Communications and Development Coordinator, Civic & Social Organization, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

One of the best things about Pitchbox is its unique ability to find social influencers and bloggers to target for content and contact, taking out the hardest work when it comes to finding who and what to share.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

It can be a pricey service, but in my opinion, if your budget allows it, it's a must-have!

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

If you're hunting for a product that can truly open new doors to target audiences in specific markets, this is the software for you. I can't imagine doing this work without the assistance of such a unique product. The ability to structure communication, plan when and what to say, and who to know, is beyond what I expected.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cutting out the work of finding social influencers, bloggers, and other high-profile users is incredible – and lets you and your clients get to the audiences that need your work on a mass-scale quickly. I strive to get this kind of work done in international markets or places where we haven't explored before as a marketing consultant – but I know it can be easier and with Pitchbox it is.

  ### 40. Pitchbox Has Helped Our Outreach

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

My favorite thing about Pitchbox is the list of opportunities they provide. This is an area of outreach that I really needed help with, and their lists are pretty good. I usually get a decent handful of opportunities from each list.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

There's nothing that I have a big problem with. The layout is a bit fussy and complex for my taste, but others might love it. Personally I'd love a simpler layout with less business going on, but nothing stands in the way of actually using it.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Just jump in and use it. The support team is helpful, especially during setup. Even if you have trouble at first, you'll learn as you go. I've gotten pretty good results from using it alongside my own methods. It is useful.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Pitchbox is saving me lots of time researching relevant opportunities to reach out to. It's really nice to put keywords in and get a large list of people to contact. I also love that they include the domain authority, spam score, and other helpful information with each list. Even if I was finding my own opportunities, those are extra steps I'd have to take, so I appreciate that the info is already there.

  ### 41. Life Changing Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul K. | CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 13, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

I love the Automation within Pitchbox and the team's Feature Enhancements that they keep rolling out!

I love how we can get all kinds of data from this and create campaigns based on users past interactions/behaviors.

I also love how responsive the team behind Pitchbox is. Seriously, need a column in a report... just ask, if you can make a use case for it they will add it.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Support can be rocky depending on the problem, also no mobile app and the site is not usable on a mobile device. I'd love to manage my campaigns while on a subway or in a line... simply responding to an email or matching an email would be cool. But then being able to run reports, or research specific outreach opportunities would be awesome. My staff work on a different time schedule and need help when I'm not in the office... it'd be awesome to be able to help them from my mobile device.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

One of the things Pitchbox doesn't offer is tracking on open rates etc, but the reason for that is they do NOT leave a footprint in emails sent from pitchbox... this is amazing as it helps in deliverability and the response rate is WAY more important than open rate... so go on already, use Pitchbox!

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Email Outreach for SEO, from cold pitches to keeping relationships engaged Pitchbox helps us get out to the right influencers and be in touch.

  ### 42. My Life is so Much Easier Now!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 14, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Being able to send emails and follow ups that look like emails, not newsletters, in an automated fashion.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Sometimes thee emails form differently than intended. The test will look good and then the real email will have unintended indentations. Having to turn the schedule back on after an autoreply.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scheduling emails, automating follow ups.

  ### 43. Pitchbox = Outreach + Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox was an excellent addition to our agency. It allows us to segment each area of outreach into what we call "buckets", which allows us to have people of varying levels of skill with different specialties. Clients are no longer paying $150/hour for someone to review blogs and decide yay or nay. Our initial results were outstanding, and our clients were thrilled with the results and reporting capabilities. If you care about defining a scalable process for linkbuilding/outreach, Pitchbox is absolutely the right tool for your agency.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

The page load speed can be slow in different areas, and that can be frustrating at times. The workaround I've found is to preview sites in separate tabs rather than in the iframe.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

It's pricier than some other options, but if you're process-driven, this is the only tool that really supports that.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This allows us to track each worker's efforts individually, and we've been able to break down linkbuilding into a scalable process.

  ### 44. Great solution to find anything from link building opportunities and influencers to leads.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor G. | Marketer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Projects are easy to set up and run.
You can both find prospects and contact them in one place.
You can build automated email chains.
Helpful insights in analytics.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Picking up trial is a complex process, I guess there's a reason for that, but it's hard to recommend it to someone as you cant just try it.
Pricing is above average.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Just use it. Time to first results is very short, and you don't even have to train your employees to use it, it's that simple.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mostly looking for guest posting opportunities to build backlink profiles.
I loved that you can find relevant sources by keywords, contact them and get results all in one place.

  ### 45. Perfect

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 01, 2018

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Does what it says it will do... perfect influencer outreach program.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

I enjoyed using this with my team. We chose it for a reason!!

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped us get organized with our marketing platform for our brand.

  ### 46. Good, Not Great

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2017

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

They offer excellent customer service. A representative will walk you through the ins and outs of the platform and answer questions promptly.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox has the appearance of being easy to use, however the set up is fairly complex. Our entire team had trouble learning the layout. They also offer pre written contact emails. While this seems useful, it's actually only going to increase the chances your press release or other info is deleted immediately by the recipient.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It contains tons of contact information for publications and other important outlets. They basically scour the internet for the info. Unfortunately, that often means you have to cleanup or verify contact info.

  ### 47. New to it. But it seems to work great for outbound marketing.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alain P. | Chief Executive Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2017

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Everything is in one place. I used to perform a similar task with 2-3 different pieces of software. Like mention and reply app, which are still great and my go to for other tasks. The best part is that it looks up emails on all websites that fit my requirements.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

Nothing really. But I only use a small part of it I guess setting up work email as the primary was a bit hard. Other than that, just for this small task, it's pretty good once you figure it out, which isn't that hard if you're familiar with similar soft.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Go through onboarding thing that they offer, It helps a lot. And as long as you know how to write a good email, you're set.

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outreach content-marketing strat.

  ### 48. Excellent for Automated and Manual E-mail Outreach

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 29, 2014

**What do you like best about Pitchbox?**

Pitchbox has an easy interface, theres lots of space for different campaigns and projects, lots of room for your to customize your message, who gets it, and when they get it. The option to either manually manage your outreach or automate it on an opportunity by opportunity level is a huge plus. Additionally, you can set the number of automated contact attempts for any particular opportunity (url) you are going after and customize the template for each attempt. One of the best features I have come across is their live support, they have not only helped me address usability issues I have come across, but also have been a very personable and useful resource on how to improve my outreach and use their set of tools to their full potential.

**What do you dislike about Pitchbox?**

There are a few technical issues with Pitchbox in the area of general usability. It doesn't greatly interfere with the function and purpose of the product but makes things a little more restrictive and less convenient. One of the drawback is the inability for the user to reorder outreach contact order when you set the opportunity (your outreach url) to automated outreach. The system isn't currently able to detect auto-responders, message undeliverable, etc, which stops the outreach process since Pitchbox interprets it as a response. Such opportunities need to be manually restarted to the next listed ordered contact, this can be a time consuming task, along with pairing the usually unmatched accompanying email.

There are multiple different types of setting up a campaign within a project, currently there is no way to bulk upload opportunities once a Website Import campaign has already been created (you will need to add them manually one-at-a-time). Currently there are issues with email addresses randomly disconnecting if you are using Office365 as your ESP, this can easily be reconnected though.

**Recommendations to others considering Pitchbox:**

Get to know the product and use the Live Support, they will bend over backwards to make your experience with their software as useful and beneficial as possible!

**What problems is Pitchbox solving and how is that benefiting you?**

E-mail campaigns often require a highly targeted and personalized approach but there are often times when you are looking for volume and a broader strategy. Pitchbox has allowed us the flexibility of both outreach approaches and gives us a level of message customization we haven't found in other similar products such as Buzzstream. Pitchbox offers the scale and level of customization we needed with our outreach. It allows automated contact attempts using different templates (there is an unlimited amount of templates you can create) and currently there is an unlimited number of opportunities you can upload to any given campaign.
