I like that they are a small to mid sized firm that is big enough to get the job done, but not too big to have an extreme amount of overhead in a project. **What do you dislike about Pierce Washington?** Good resources, but not designed to staff a very large product. **Recommendations to others considering Pierce Washington:** They have a couple of Technology sets they specialize in, but because they have a talented team, I wouldn't dismiss them for projects outside of their specialty. ### 2. BigMachines is a highly complex, highly customizable tool that had a significant number of methods for use. Following an established methodology and not over promising to a customer is key to a successful project. Pierce Washington worked within the established methodologies while meeting the customer requests with implementations that could be supported. **What do you dislike about Pierce Washington?** As the team that supported the product long term, i would have preferred to have more interaction prior to the completion of the install but this relationship developed. Having a long term relationship helped build a stronger interaction and smoothed the way for customer transitions. ### 3. They do the job right the first time, and are forward thinking enough to mitigate risks before they become problemes. A great example of this is their becoming the first certified implementation partner of BigMachines, demonstrating their commitment to CPQ and willingness to follow best practices. **What do you dislike about Pierce Washington?** They are west coast based and don't have a presence on the east coast. **Recommendations to others considering Pierce Washington:** I've worked alongside PW on a few CPQ implementations. ### 4. They clearly understood the project scope from the get-go, and were able to put together a project scope document very quickly that was accurate and included buffer for anything that could pop-up unexpectedly. **What do you dislike about Pierce Washington?** In the end, they lost the project due to pricing, which they were less flexible on compared to our alternate firm. **Recommendations to others considering Pierce Washington:** They are a great firm, and while we did not go with them int he end, I would definitely bring them in for future project work. ### 6.
