The module has included an option for most of the webservers I have used to date, and the ease of installing, configuring, and getting started is something I liked about it. Digging into further details the performance of web servers combined with Phusion passenger has been brilliant.
Most of the cloud-based SAAS tools I manage are built with scripting languages, and the web servers are Nginx or Apache. I usually go with Phusion Passenger and have been using this module for over a decade.
The technologies are getting updated and I did not face any issues with the Phusion passenger. It is a well-maintained module. Never has issues with security, reliability, and scalability. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Haven't used this with the latest app servers, and sometimes the errors are encountered during installation and configuration with app environments.
In some instances where I would wish to include this module in both Nginx & Apache, there were some issues on the server-side. In case of changing the web server, there isn't a way to uninstall the passenger module. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
