"Perfect tool for SQL"
5/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

Quick and Easy to make changes. With code as well as UI.

Easy to understand for normal tech guys

I use phpmy admin mainly for WordPress. Sometimes I need to make changes to those lines and it can be easily done with the admin.

I am not sure whehether there is any other tool that supports SQL like this. I am using it for MariaDB on my VPS with Centos 7. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

Sometimes it doesn't refreshes instantly. May be my server-end issue. But that is only the issue that I face with phpmyadmin. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"A reliable and simple database management tool. It is standard for most hosting services"
4/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

phpMyAdmin can be used safely by beginners and that is why I like it. All database operations such as adding, removing, modifying, creating tables or databases can be carried out. It is not necessary to write difficult SQL commands but to use the graphical interface to carry out all the operations. You will surely also notice that it is included as a standard for most hosting services, so you will not have to pay any subscription or license. It is also included in database management systems such as XAMPP or WAMP, which are completely free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

Its default settings are for old databases, so to manipulate large databases you will have to edit these configuration files, which are really advanced and cannot be modified by beginners. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"phpMyAdmin is very effective software to manage small databases"
4/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

The feature that I like the most about phpMyAdmin are its tools for table maintenance, such as operations to review, optimize, repair and empty the cache of the tables of the databases. I also like that it has a graphical interface to create relationships in the tables. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

What I dislike about phpMyAdmin is that its database export limits are very limited and changing its execution values can put server stability at risk, so I prefer to use some other database manager or the SSH console to exploit the databases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"phpMyAdmin"
4/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

Though it looks very over-whelming at first it is user friendly & super easy to learn. This open-source PHP based web application used for managing MySQL database over the web. We usually prefer phpMyAdmin for data viewing, searching, updating, and column manipulations. I can open many different pages of phpMyAdmin in browser tabs, which is very handy.

phpMyAdmin gives a very easy & quick way to run SQL queries directly on the server itself.

This amazing web application allows us to export & fully backup all databases and tables and information stored inside of MySQL. One can take that to any other server & then re-import them into the new server easily. One of the best parts of using this is that it gives a full-featured and also easy to use web interface where it also has the cross-platform which is also open-source and makes its design a more attractive option for most of the server administrators.

Creating new user accounts for MySQL is very easy by taking us through another user interface allowing us to easily create new accounts including selecting and managing all the applicable permissions that you want any of those user accounts to have.

It is great for a lightweight day to day transactions. It handles a lot of easy things very well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

Though phpMyAdmin offers the simplest interface but little complex for beginners, sometimes it becomes too slow than other tools and consumes more resources. Sometimes it is complicated to perform simple tasks.

Though it's a good piece of software but becomes unusable after a while. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"phpMyAdmin is the most powerful wizard for MySQL database administration"
4.5/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

I like phpMyAdmin because it has interfaces for a wide variety of MySQL tasks, such as adding, removing, or modifying data in tables. Another feature that I like is that you can export complete database data in Excel or XML format. Also, it is open source software and it runs under a web version. What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

By default phpMyAdmin does not assign a random password for your admin user or force the user to assign one, which I consider a serious security error, because it will always be possible to access the database just by entering the username, which is generally "root" if it is not configure manually. "phpMyAdmin for the best MySQL database management"
5/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

What I love the most about phpMyAdmin is that it is implemented as a web solution which means its way smaller than having a database management system like MongoDB, Access or Oracle installed. PhpMyAdmin has a graphical interface and a terminal for performing database operations. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

Nothing comes to mind here. I have had a relatively good experience using phpMyAdmin Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"PHPMyAdmin manages the database securely with high performance."
5/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

PHPMyAdmin is easy to use and has great performance when taking into account that it is often being used on a shared server. Unlike other common tools in hosting control panels, PHPMyAdmin does everything that external software can do and has a great performance when performing the most common activities. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

PHPMyAdmin does not know how to deal with the limitations generated by PHP.ini and the consequence of this is that processes are suspended because they exceed the time limits established by the server. I understand that the limitations in the PHP configuration have exactly the function of eliminating the processes that by mistake or in a malicious way will affect the performance of the server, but in manual executions the PHPMyAdmin should divide the processes as the import ones so that they can be easily executed by the user. "phpMyAdmin gives you full control of your website's database"
4.5/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

phpMyAdmin is a simple program that does not include unnecessary animations that consume large amounts of browser memory. The most important thing is that it contains all the tools to have full control of your database. It is possible to create databases, tables, create relationships between tables or modify the data of a table. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

I consider the design of the user interface a matter of taste, since I am more inclined to the simplicity that phpMyAdmin offers, but some other people will think that it is an old design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Thanks to phpMyAdmin, I don't have to write complex commands in the MySQL console."
5/5
What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?

Specifically, what I like most about phpMyAdmin is its database designer, which allows you to relate the tables of a database through a graphical interface, without the need to write complex commands. To name other reasons why I like this software, I can mention:

- phpMyAdmin is included by default in the package of most hosting companies, so it has broad support.

- The export of databases is done quickly, regardless of the number of tables it has.

- It supports MySQL and MariaDB.

- It is installed on Linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?

Honestly, I don't think anything negative about phpMyAdmin. I would like its user interface to have a more modern design. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
