**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

phpMyAdmin is easy to install, even if that's not the default database manager. The user interface and administration are straightforward to understand and use, its super easy to create, edit or delete databases, tables or rows. I think one of the best things about phpMyAdmin is running queries super fast. If you are looking to work with a database on a web app, phpMyAdmin is the best option.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

Well, the most annoying thing that comes to my mind is only the slow speed when refreshing a page when I'm using big data, seems like using big data with phpMyAdmin isn't a good option.

Don't use big data with phpMyAdmin.

When using this tool, I don't need to waste time writing queries; i can see all my rows arranged perfectly and can edit rows with few clicks.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

phpMyAdmin is very easy to use, even a beginner will understand phpMyAdmin in really short time, it's made on web interface so anyone can access it from anywhere, creating/editing/removing new databases/tables/rows is super easy and can be done with few simple clicks and you dont need to write full SQL queries, import and export features are super helpful, you can create database on another host and trasfer it to where you really needs it or even just cloning database, managing my clients databases becomes really easy with phpMyAdmin.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

Actually i dont think about anything i dislike on phpMyAdmin, it's just perfect for me and all developers.

**What problems is phpMyAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing databases, creating new tables or rows, editing can be done just by clicking on specific data, removing can be done by marking some rows and remove few in one click, it's makes me save a lot of time developing and managing databases for my clients, i dont need to write a entire query to make things happened.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

The light file size is something I really like about phpMyAdmin. It's a no frills kind of program that gets right to our needs and doesn't embellish the interface with unnecessary design elements that could slow down the program. phpMyAdmin can help me to access all of the MySQL data I need to get to that might not be easy to access through other means. The search feature helps to quickly find data in all of the rows. I also like being able to save the data for export into other databases.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

Working only with the search and replace tools in phpMyAdmin won't always do the trick when trying to properly update data in WordPress installations. You'll have to be familiar with the specific formatting and naming conventions of WordPress in order to properly update certain database items. So in order to update certain data without breaking your installation, you should use an separate data replacement tool.

**Recommendations to others considering phpMyAdmin:**

phpMyAdmin will typically come with web hosting plans, so you should check it out or get it installed if you don't have it already. There are many options available when you save a database file, but I think you can usually just use the default settings most of the time.

**What problems is phpMyAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can have full control over our MySQL data in a relatively user-friendly management environment. When there are issues with plugins or other applications that may cause our website to break down, I can go into phpMyAdmin as a last resort to see where there may be issues and make the necessary updates to get our website up and running again. It's also a good way for me to change data that is pesky to access in our main CMS portal.

phpMyAdmin makes database management easier by providing fields and forms that are more straightforward to use than executing code to access that data. There are search and filter features that are familiar to most simple software like spreadsheets and other common data organization programs.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

It can be dangerous to use phpMyAdmin to modify data if you're not an experienced user and don't have a good understanding of data structures and how they relate to the functionality of a website or other digital asset.

phpMyAdmin is an essential web management tool, in my opinion, and it often comes with web hosting plans. I'd consider using it if you need to make precise adjustments to your web data and content.

Compared to other server software, phpMyAdmin doesn't takes as long to learn how to use for basic usage. We can find and replace data with tools that are easy to use. I am able to make update more precisely than using other solutions like content management systems.

Creating databases and tables is relatively easy once the learning curve is overcome. For people who do not have a great command of SQL, it is a very interesting solution. You can perform absolutely all maintenance tasks on your databases without the need to use SQL but without giving it up.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

I think they should improve the interface, as on one hand it is not entirely user-friendly and intuitive, and on the other hand it is not responsive, requiring horizontal scrolling on certain monitors, which is annoying and uncomfortable.

A simple or simpler way to create your MySQL databases without having to resort to code.

phpMyAdmin is offering the easiest database editor ever made, you are able to change values of rows just by clicking on the specific data you want to change, the UI is really user friendly and easy to understand.
phpMyAdmin is web based and can be accessed from anywhere so if you are having issues with data you able to change it without problems.

UI is kinda old and needs to be more modern to the current website designs, materialize would be awesome!

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

Great product. There is a small learning curve to protect the admin page by editing the associated PHP file. You can also manually enter MySQL instructions, so experts don't feel limited. It has been around for a long time and is quite stable.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

However, this is a matter of personal preference and may not be an issue for others. Furthermore, the options themselves have been changed. Again, this is a frequently used feature for me. Removal of Empty and Suspended tabs from table navigation - Although I appreciate that these are not technically navigation options, burying them in Operations was not the correct move.

**Recommendations to others considering phpMyAdmin:**

Users who do not have knowledge of SQL Structured Query Language can also use this product, and in the process learn SQL. It works, does what it promises to do, and if you know what you want to do, it's straightforward. PhpMyAdmin is a tool for manipulating MySql, but of course, you need to know MySql first, and a good book about MySql and how you can interact with it through PHP is a "must." The software also displays the associated SQL query for each operation.

I routinely need to access, create, modify, and manage all MySQL databases running on LAMP stacks. Used for my academic projects. And finally, using phpMyAdmin on a development network facilitates collaboration with other database administrators and developers without the need to install anything or troubleshoot a complicated connection process.

phpMyAdmin, although not completely necessary, is a great addition to any developer's toolkit. It is a super easy and user-friendly interface for handling databases. It has all the main features, such as database, tables, functions, and user creation. This can save a company a lot of money by not having to purchase expensive software licenses.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

Sometimes, user management becomes very complex. It is not very fast, so when you need to operate directly on the db, you need to have time. Of course, this also depends on the server's connection and configuration. PHPMyAdmin is a tool that is difficult to integrate into existing environments. It comes with many pre-configured packages and works well, but when you need to integrate it into an existing infrastructure, it is a bit difficult. The interface as a whole is not really suitable for multitasking.

If you need an easy way to manage your databases through the GUI, an easy way to manage MySQL databases. Moreover, it is very easy to use, just use it like any other DBMS you would otherwise use and expand the possibilities. phpMyAdmin allows us to do this without a steep learning curve. Developing products takes less time with this tool. To design the database, it might not be the best tool, as you might want something with a graphical interface to run on your computer, like MySQL Workbench. I think the interface of phpMyAdmin is mostly simple in design, which makes it easy for me to find different sections and use. I like how phpMyAdmin warns the user very clearly before performing drastic actions that could adversely affect the performance of our website. The search tools make it easy for me to find data quickly compared to using front end type of methods.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

The functionality of phpMyAdmin hasn't changed much over many years and many versions. It think it does a solid job at providing access to website databases, but if there were more intuitive visual administrative features or alternative layouts, I think that could benefit many users, especially those with limited database experience.

phpMyAdmin is readily available with most web hosting accounts, so I would try to check it out and go through all the columns of data to get an idea of where things are should you need to modify the database in some way in the future.

When we have website page errors, phpMyAdmin allows us to access almost every part of the database to be able to better diagnose and fix problems. PhpMyAdmin is one of the primary and most error-proof ways to save database information so that we can add it to a new hosting account. Being able to move data with SQL files save us time from having to add the data manually or through new website and web app installations.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

I have been using phpMyAdmin since I started in web programming and I have always used it since then as a beginner and then as an expert with more than 10 years working on web products. It is very easy to use and helps to create databases, create tables and manipulate by means of inserting, modifying, deleting some field or data from a table, also executing SQL queries simply saves us having to use the console to execute these commands since with this manager we can with just one click execute all these and many more functions like create users and give privileges saves work makes it easier and much more friendly and in case its installation is very simple is more with packages like Xampp we can install it and be able to handle when we lift the service through this package or through others that exist

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

This database manager is perfect simply simple intuitive easy the only thing that can be improved is its graphical interface although this is an advantage because people like me who always use it have known it for a long time and always have the same interface and It is very intuitive and easy to use although it can be a disadvantage because it does not attract people in the visual although it is a matter of taste because if it works and does the work that is required, it should not matter the visual, although for me it can be improved and this would be more striking to us as users

phpMyAdmin works well with many web hosting accounts regardless of the types of frameworks they're running. I like the organization of files in the left column that allow me to quickly navigate to particular databases with just a mouse click. phpMyAdmin provides the user with a full range of data regarding the database installation. We can see the file size of particular content and track down data easily with filtering tools.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

When we need to replace data, we often have to drop the existing data first, which isn't ideal since the dropped data can temporarily cause websites to crash. phpMyAdmin can be dangerous to use even when the user knows what they're doing. If data isn't backed up and we need to replace critical rows in a database, we can cause big problems if key data is removed and we don't have a backup.

If you website goes down, or you're unable to change critical information through your standard web management portal, you can often use phpMyAdmin to update passwords and other account information.

I can use the search and replace feature to quickly make sweeping adjustments across an entire website database. I can get the full picture of our data in phpMyAdmin and replace content in our website by going directly to the associated row instead of relying on a submit form that may or not be flawed. Whenever our website goes down due to a plugin issue, I can often count on phpMyAdmin to fix the errors.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

A simple web based management tool for MySQL with all the functionalities included to easily edit and create data and tables without any line of code.

Having a remote access to your MySql or MariaDB servers is one of the biggest advantages of having phpMyAdmin.

You can also do some custom processing with browser transformation, which when browsing the data allows you to have the power to make custom transformations.

Lastly, it is free and open source.

Updates are not automatic, they are manual.
I'd also like to see a software version. That'd could be cooler.

phpMyAdmin has many useful search and sorting features that help me to find the data and replace it when needed. There are tools in phpMyAdmin that let us export databases and website software more quickly and efficiently. I like being able to select multiple rows at once and then applying an action to all of them.

phpMyAdmin is a somewhat advanced website management tool that can seriously cause problems if certain data is altered or removed. The user must be very careful about knowing exactly what each row is for in respect to the software the database content is attached to.

phpMyAdmin is a excellent backend database application that give you better control over your website's data. You shouldn't rely too much on the the software to manage the database content for you.

phpMyAdmin has gotten us out of many binds when it comes to fixing database errors caused by website software or extensions. Our MySQL databases are largely filled with content from content management systems, which can often have errors due to plugin incompatibility or other core software issues. **What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

1. The Export functionality of your database table, procedure, Triggers, is really good and the hole database itself is also exportable.
2. There are many more functionality of  DML, DCL, DDL commands are present as button that you can simply click on that to run your query which will save your developers time that is why we preferred more to use PhpMyAdmin to manage your MySql database.
3. You do not have any need to write hole query to Lock particular to Read Only, you can simply do it by it's inbuilt facilities.

1. You will face the problem to export data when it is in big size.
2. When get an error at the time of execution of query, it did not define you the point to point error.

phpMyAdmin is a very easy tool to edit and manage databases, it has a import and export option which works really good so you can work on changes locally and upload it to server, the UI is very user friendly so anyone can understand it even the beginners!

phpMyAdmin is super easy to use, UI is really clean and even if you a begginer you would understand it just in few mins, phpMyAdmin is open sourced and was my with PHP so if any one want to make any changes of improvment, its possible!

phpMyAdmin UI is kinda old and not modern and i'm a person who like modern websites with alot of animations and colors.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

The good component is that it allows me to manipulate desktops as well as execute SQL queries and run scripts on the actual server with information. Create a table button in the table listing - Before, you had to go to the database home page or Operations, scroll down, and add a table. Probably the only pleasant function has been out and around for quite some time, so it is very reliable and quite error-free. It has been out and around for a long time, so it is very reliable and quite Trojan horse-free.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

I even have to say that PHPMyAdmin misled me here. Again, this is a regularly used function for me. It also doesn't have the option to create ER diagrams. I recognize that this is not a big issue, as the functionality is always improving, however, it would be nice to have the design of the material of the opposite Internet applications that I use on a daily basis. The configuration of phpMyAdmin on the server side could be more streamlined.

**What problems is phpMyAdmin solving and how is that benefiting you?**

PHPMyAdmin is a tool that is difficult to integrate with existing environments, it comes with many pre-configured packages and works very well, but when you need to integrate it with an existing infrastructure, it is a bit difficult. Although effective, from time to time it takes many clicks to execute what I want to do. The web interface, despite being more consumer-friendly, is slower than the CLI interface. Also, I don't like the language it is written in due to the fact that you use software in Python and also you may not configure any PHP libraries, which is an inconvenience to have it written in PHP. It could also be beneficial to have some JavaScript for autocomplete of table column names once I am typing a query.

cPanel to manage SQL databases easily with options to create, delete, modify, and manage tables without much knowledge.
Web graphical interface.
MySQL, MariaDB, and Drizzle databases.

Uses very low computer resources.

I like to control my databases easily installed on any web server. I create charts in PDF for better control of my statistics.

I can only manage databases in MySQL, which limits me from expanding on my web server. I have to use other software to handle other databases. When I update phpMyAdmin, it generates errors on my server, slowing down my work.

cPanel is very easy to use to control everything necessary on your private web server, it is an excellent tool for local networks and the Internet. It's free, install it on your server and you will see that it is the best.

I have it installed on my own server and I control all the databases easily and for free. It is Open Source and I can develop and improve new tools with phpMyAdmin, saving money on proprietary licenses and web server programs.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

phpMyAdmin is an easy to use tool to make any modifications in the MySql database. Database, Tables creations is done very easily with the use of wizard. We can also import data from CSV and SQL. Different user accounts with different level or privileges can be created. We can also run any stored procedure or triggers. We can export the data to any format such as SQL, EXCEL, CSV, PDF, XML etc. 

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

There is no schema visualization in phpMyAdmin. Foreign Key identification is difficult. No code or syntax error highlighting available. It takes sometimes ages to find the syntax error which could be frustrating at times. There is no option to save the queries in the working directory. We need to copy paste our work into notepad or any other text editor to save the queries every time.

**Recommendations to others considering phpMyAdmin:**

I would recommend phpMyAdmin to anyone who is at a beginner level when it comes to database creation and management. If we just follow the steps listed in the tool, anyone can create a database, load the data into it and manipulate it

phpMyAdmin is an interactive, intuitive IDE used to create and manage MySQL and Maria databases. We can perform various operations such as selection, updation, insertion and deletion of data from tables. **What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

It has a very intuitive window or web interface that is developed in php and serves us for database recording in mysql. As it is developed under open source it allows us to modify it at our discretion. This tool allows us to backup and restore our information found in the database, modify it and even delete it, it has multiple options to make sql sentences.

Although it is developed with open source its programming is based on php programming language designed for web systems, It has certain limitations in terms of the amount of database managed and only manages
 Database made under my sql is not compactible with other formats.

you can get it on their website or download it in other alternative pages, it is compactible with linux operating system in its different versions and with windows. For the Linux version, as we should know, its installation is more complex since it is through a command console, a basic knowledge regarding installation by program console will be needed. Very easy to configure and allows us to save, modify, delete and we can even restore and backup the information stored in the database for fault security.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

phpMyAdmin seems to me one of the best software for MySQL database management that exist so far, I use it a lot to create stored procedures, triggers and in general to manipulate tables and databases, and the most interesting thing is that many times what I do without having to enter a single line of code making MySQL easier to use. In addition, its visual interface is super intuitive and very easy to use. One of the most interesting features is that it allows you to edit the database schema as a diagram, and then export it as MySQL code. Finally, it is important to note that it is a free tool and this is the main reason why phpMyAdmin is always installed in each hosting business

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

It is not a dislike, but if it is something important that should be commented and that the software can only use it in a web browser, there is no version of the software for mobile app and desktop software. It should be noted that if there were an app it would have been very good because I like working online. Despite this I have not found any type of fault in this tool, it is full of important features, and completely fills all my needs. Something that could be improved is the graphic display of the entire platform.

I recommend this software because it is mainly very useful and easy to use, it is also free and can be implemented by any person or company, and not only available for Linux, but also available on XAMPP and OS supported by XAMPP. In addition to that PhpMyAdmin is ideal for light daily transactions. It is also important to remember that it is most likely included in your Linux server with Cpanel, since everything is already integrated in cPanel installations. It is also highly recommended for the creation of a procedure because of its ease.

In the company I help the company to manage databases for web pages and web apps, in turn it facilitated the visualization of the data for the development of applications. Phpmyadmin is a dashboard that allows databases to be managed via the browser. In this dashboard, you can create, modify, or delete databases easily and quickly, as you do not need to use the database language (MySQL).

Visually, the default design is very simple, but it is possible to change it to one of the alternatives offered in the same application. It is also possible to download additional internet designs that improve the user interface and better organize all options.

Technically, the application is a frontend that runs on a web server and communicates with a MySQL server (usually on the same computer). The internal configuration of Phpmyadmin is done through configuration files located in the system's root directory. However, this depends on the version of Windows or Linux being used.

PhpMyAdmin its perfect when you need to access your databases anywhere you go. 

It's a full Db Management system written in PHP, easily accessible via a browser, where you can run queries, create databases, repair tables, in other words. you can do anything in MySQL just like Mysql console but in a visual environment. 

The built-in visual DB Designer allows you to create full Db relationships in a few steps.

The best thing is that as a database management tool it is very useful since I have a graphical interface and do not need to connect remotely to the database and have to execute commands. With Phpmyadmin I can manage my databases using the mouse to perform any necessary task on a database or the server in general.

In addition Phpmyadmin comes installed by default in many hosting servers along with Apache and Mysql so that in some cases it is not even necessary to install it, but even if necessary, the installation is very simple and is done through an assistant that just needs to configure the name of the database and the address of the server.

We don't need to fight with MySQL console and commands anymore, now we can do everything from phpMyAdmin website interface and this is really useful for unexperience users since they can follow tutorials from internet.

This is why phpMyAdmin is installed by default in every hosting business. and it is also why we installed by default in every webserver we use. You can handle almost every aspect of your website database using phpmyadmin.

Business aside, as a linux user I love that phpMyAdmin is as easy to install and configure on my home system just as "pacman -S phpmyadmin" compared to windows version.

- Easy to Manage big databases.
- It is FREE

I think they can improve their interface a little be to be more "clean" and up to date. We are in 2019 and that interface looks a bit old.

When you are watching large dataset from a table you have to be careful and don't show all rows at once or your browser will hang but this is not a phpMyadmin fault, browsers can't just manage such large amounts of data.

If you are a novice, you should consider using MySQL consle in order to fully understand MySQL language and then you can use phpMyadmin UI.

Also use the linux version it is definetly more secure.

PhpMyAdmin allows saving a great amount of data. And it works great with other CMS such as WordPress. phpMyAdmin is also very secure. You just need to worry about how to write your SQL code. It is also easy to learn, people can learn how to use it very fast

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

I wish it could have some schema visualization. PHPMyAdmin could be complete if you could draw some diagram. Then, export those diagrams and share with your team. I also don't like that sometimes is kinda slow, especially when you try to get a big amount of data.

If you are using phpMyAdmin make sure to write nice and clean SQL code. You never know if phpMyAdmin will be in trouble one day.

PHPMyAdmin works perfectly with WordPress. Right now I am using PhpMyAdmin to save WordPress's data. The benefit is that I feel more secure to save data in it.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

It has an intutive web interface, serves as a reference for the creation of phpgadmin, is under license gnu gpl that allows us the free distribution, modification and use, you can import data from cvs and sql files.
This application will allow us to perform basic operations in mysql database, such as: create and delete databases, create, delete and alter tables, delete, edit and add fields, execute sql statements, administer field keys, administer privileges and Export data in various formats. The function of exporting data is used many times to make backups of the database and to be able to restore this backup in the future through phpmyadmin by means of the "import" option.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

Limits the amount of database management, only manages databases in mysql In a matter of storage procedures.

I recommend it to my colleagues because it has an intuitive web interface, Ability to execute most of the mysql features you can import data from cvs and sql files of the many functions that has very important encounter that allows us to optimize and repair tables, which are two fundamental maintenance tasks.

I am currently dealing with the development of an inventory control system to solve faults that have control in the entry and exit of the merchandise as well as bring your inventrio valued and can know if profitability at the end of each merchandise departure.

Free. Easy to learn. Portable across all platforms. Has a user interface for managing databases plus a MySQL terminal for executing statements. Easy to export and import MySQL databases using phpmyadmin.

Its excellent. I love it, wouldn't dislike anything about it.

**What do you like best about phpMyAdmin?**

I like that phpMyAdmin has an easy UI that allows you to check your websites databases without knowing SQL, this makes it easy to write programs and see the tables of information without having to input SQL. Having phpMyAdmin on your sever is a must if you are using PHP.

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

I dislike that it isn't bug-free (is any program?) one of the major problems i have is being denied access to certain databases because i don't have the credentials. The problem is, i own the sever so how would i not have the credentials?

**Recommendations to others considering phpMyAdmin:**

It's free and most likely included on your Linux Server with Cpanel. I'd recommend you take advantage of it to make your website more user-friendly and give incentive to come back to it.

With phpMyAdmin, we are able to program easier being able to actually see our databases in front of us. Having a database allow us to keep track of our user activity and data. This allows us to use the data to try to predict future events in our website.

It is open source and widely used so it's easy to use even if you don't know MySQL, it's a fast way to do minor changes very easily

Bugs specially on big queries, that may lead to miss information. Also on that easy to use search input that may lead to miss records because they're not loaded and no warnings.

It is very easy to install and manage, the professionals in the database sector, the vast majority say that phpMyAdmin is rubbish, I think quite the opposite, it has a community of developers behind it that inspires confidence, it is always updated and by default with "Xampp".

**What do you dislike about phpMyAdmin?**

PhpMyAdmin leaves much to be desired in the visual department; it's not a very attractive product compared to other database managers. The good thing about PhpMyAdmin is that it is simple but fulfills its function.

PhpMyAdmin is very intuitive, its interface may not be very pleasant but it meets its requirements and functions. Personally, I recommend it to anyone, whether you are an intern, a novice, or a great professional. It is lightweight and easy to install.

I always use phpMyAdmin for managing the databases of any website, it is very easy to handle for anyone who is not very accustomed to managing databases. With phpMyAdmin, you eliminate any restriction due to not "knowing," it gives you everything on a silver platter.
